As here, reviewers demonstrate that the switches are a side-press, but I have no problems with a froward push on either my TLR-8 or TLR-8G. A forward push for me is more optimal as it does not interfere with my sights or laser positions. I just push forward on the switch nub for either momentary or constant on. It works. It is a rocker type switch. I’ll use a two finger pinch with my support hand, to activate strobe (once activated), once the unit is on with lamp already selected. Both my units hold zero, even thru unmounting and remounting as verified with my Optic, love them.
Im gonna buy this and put it on my mossber 590! Very confident in this light if I need to use it for home defense!
Nice video, but it would’ve been nice if you were trying to display how good the laser is to turn the flashlight off so that we can see just how good the laser really is on a normal outdoor setting or at night setting without the flashlight being on

Yes you can! it comes with a small Allen wrench and there are adjustment screws for windage and elevation. - DK

Just got mine today and haven’t mounted it yet. Hopefully I won’t have any issues mounting it on my Ruger security nine pro subcompact with Trijicon sites.
I also have a Glock that I would like to be able to mount it on but it’s not as critical

I've Been looking for a holster that fits my p226 with a TRL 8 light. Any suggestions? Can't find many suggestions. I would like a t- rex holster but idk if it would work with my build. Any help is appreciated 👍

I have the TLR-8A and I can’t get my strobe to work does it allow strobe?
Yes. Two rapid presses on the activation switch. - DK
9 FAST presses on the button then on the 10th press, hold the button until it stops flashing. Then it is programmed for strobe with 2 presses
Thanks after having it for a year I finally got it 😅
Had issues I activated the strobe my by laser shut off one the TLR-8AG and can’t figure out how to keep the laser on the the strobe

Great review sir. Just purchased the Sig 365 x micro comp and am new at this and am boggled at the ad Ons for it. my big concern is? I would like to mount a holosun sight on it. how would that work with a tlr-8ag. and if you could use both, how would you zero them together. thanks for this informative review.
My secret for zeroing lasers and reflex sights is the Sightmark Laser Boresighter. It is really great for zeroing at a specific distance. You do need to verify in live fire with your ammo and tweak it a little. - DK

How did you get a red dot on the gun without a slot cut slide?
With glocks it’s as easy as replacing the rear sight with an optics mount
Does anyone know which size this combo is compatible with? For holster selection?
There isn't a size, per se, for this combo. You would need to find a holster that works for that gun and light combination. Or you may need to have a custom kydex holster made. Fobus makes a Glock holster that leaves the light uncovered and takes it out of the equation, and just locks into the slide. - DK

Laser will lose zero folks.. check the internet for defect issues before buying. Bought two before I found out the elevation will loose zero for you.. these suck.

same here, no amount of quick presses seems to work. Tlr-8a flex. maybe the 'flex' doesnt have strobe?
