Good video. I’ve had the TLR8 on my G19/4 since Aug of 2018 and just added a TLR8-G to my G23/5. Noticed no one mentions that the control switches or buttons can function with a press down but also a press forward (rocker type). My fingers are long enough that I don’t care for the “A” versions of those switches. Holster comparability between the TLR7 and TLR8s can be a problem in some holster styles as the TLR8s do extend below the trigger guard, a height difference, and interfere with a lock-in or snap-in on the holster.
Does laser hold zero well?
Please make a video on how to install the clip with the mount screw. I can’t figure out how to use the tool hold the clip in.

Hello, I recently bought the TLR-8 with red laser for my Springfield XD9 full size. It’s pretty much parallel with the muzzle but is the big gap between the trigger guard & the TLR-8 normal? It is a great product.

Will the TLR-8G remember the last mode used (light only, laser only, both) and always turn on it that mode?
From the instructions: " To cycle through the available modes (TLR-8®/TLR-8® G only; Light, Laser, Light/Laser), press and hold one switch and tap the other switch until desired mode is reached. I have a TLR-8 on my HK VP9SK and can't get it to stay on the firearm. I have tried ALL the adaptors and lights flys off. Right now I have thin clear double sided automotive tape sandwiched in between the light and pistol rail to keep the light on.

The method of having to push both buttons to switch modes between laser and light only is cumbersome. Some sort of third switch to select the mode would be highly welcome.
Whenever I use the Tlr 7 with any of my pistols it always falls off whenever i shoot

Does anyone know what distance in yards or feet the tLr 8 comes factory sighted in at? I don’t recall seeing anything in the instruction manual nor can l find anything on the website. Also why don’t you do walkthroughs on adjusting the laser?

Where can I buy the tlr8 g? I havent been able to find it
I'm having a problem with my tlr-8a... my up and down zero adjustment screw won't move the laser as it is stuck in the extreme UP position. As I try to adjust the laser to go down, the adjustment stud threads out of the unit and the laser stays stuck up way above where true zero is. Please help me out here streamlight

i've read your compatibility sheet which does not seem very extensive and your site mentions that this will fit many other firearms. i've also been searching online and can not seem to find an answer to my question. i'd still like to be sure if it will work with a taurus g2c or g3 before getting one. can you tell me if the TLR-8G will work with these?

Will the tlr 8G fit a p 365 xl with an icarus precision lower that includes a 1913 rail? Trying to decide between this or the tlr 7 sub, but if it does fit then I would prefer having the light/laser combo

will this light withstand a shotgun shock? I have no luck putting lights on a shotgun. They seem to go out as soon as I shoot it.

A tap on either switch turns the unit “on” or “off”. Press and hold either switch for momentary activation of the unit

Mine won’t save laser mode only and it won’t shut off sometimes it’s very difficult for me to turn it off i have the TLR 8 AG flex

As of now, the switches are not backwards/cross-compatible.

Unfortunately, we do not recommend rechargeable batteries.

Yes, it's the same footprint.

My kydex holster for a tlr8 doesn’t fit right with a tlr7 attached. Retention is much less. They are not exactly the same footprint, just look at the external dimensions. The laser makes it slightly bigger. Surprised streamlight would say this when they know they are different dimensions.
