You are so amazing for putting all this information out for free honestly I would expect these to be paid classes, if you ever have time would you consider doing a tutorial for making WEBTOONs and doing lettering on procreate? I don’t have access to clip studio so that would be super helpful. I’m planning to publish my WEBTOON this summer so I’m still in the thumbnailing stage but your videos make it seem possible for me to actuality complete one so thank you so much!
I think lettering in Procreate will be very tough. However, there is a free program called Medibang that I believe is available on iOs that will be very similar to Clip Studio. You may want to check that out in the meantime. Good luck.
Hey man, just wanted to reach and say hi. I’ve really enjoyed your content, it’s been very helpful. I notice you haven’t posted here lately, and I don’t think you’ve been active elsewhere. Wanted you wish you well and say that I look forward to more from you if you decide to come back. ✌️
Thanks for making amazing videos! I know it takes a lot of time to make videos so I appreciate your efforts! Now I understand some stuff that was a complete mystery before! Like the multiple balloon thing! So freaking easy and simple! I don't think I'll ever use another program again for Lettering!
If you don't see the roundess setting, click the tool properties and turn the "eyeball" on for the roundness setting. it should show in the settings now.
And 9.0 for the brush is appearing very thick. Not like your example. Is there something I have missed to make these settings not stick or work the way you did it in your example? I have set the canvas exactly at the same sizing as what you created. Any input is appreciated.
A lot will depend on the brush you're using. Just adjust your brush size to the thickness you prefer for your art. I used a slightly custom brush based on ClipStudio's Technical pen. I tend to use a thin line, some people like thicker lines. All personal preference. Hope that helps.
While I do love CSP’s lettering tools, I really wish CELSYS would look at what the folks over at Plasq have done with the script and lettering engine in Comic Draw, and incorporate similar features into Clip Studio.
The lettering engine allows the script to be in the same comic document as your pencils and inks. You can script out regular dialogue, sound effects, captions, etc, and literally drag and drop from the script to the panels. You can also manipulate the lettering to create pretty impressive titles. I remember one of your earlier lettering videos where you were trying to get the spacing close enough together so that the letters slightly merged into each other but it wasn’t working like you wanted (I believe it was Clip Studio). In Comic Draw, it’s pretty easy to get that effect. If you do still have it on the iPad, try it again for lettering. I don’t think I’ll use it for layouts, inking, or coloring, but I’m planning to do all lettering in Comic Draw because I love the way it works and all the things you can do with lettering in that program. Edit: And yes, I felt the same way about Comic Draw the first time I used it years ago and left it alone. Just recently came back to it and started playing around in it to see if I could do my webcomic in it; that’s when I found out how much I prefer the lettering/scripting part.
When one Tutorial mentions something you need ANOTHER tutorial for T.T 😬😥😓 Someone please teach me how to extract this Winrar file so I can use the font and upload my comic. P,S. THANK YOU for uploading this video ^^ Congrats on your Sponsored video
If you get them from blambot.com you should get a zip file. In that case, you should be able to double click to open it in both windows and mac. If you're downloading from someplace else and getting a winrar file, then you'll prolly need a special app. Once you open the zip file, highlight the files, copy them, paste them into a different folder on your storage device. Then install the font. For windows you just right click them and click install font, but they have to be out of the zip file to install them. You can get 7-Zip for rar files.
