There's definitely going to be some type of bizarre twist. Notice how the ship only has on bed in it despite supposedly having a full crew at the beginning and we never see the "Captain" or and evidence of any of the other crew. From what has been going on so far it seems too well written for things like that to not be hidden hints rather than plot holes.

Maybe the whole expedition was originally alters and the ship not seeing any surviving members created him from the info stored in the QC and sent him down which is why Earth is a little unprepared when he makes contact.
Honestly the execution in this game is downright incredible. The pacing is on point and the sci-fi elements are just above being too cheesy. I love the idea of base building with different versions of yourself! Bloody ingenius.

While I doubt they'll actually go there, I do wonder if the idea will be brought up in conversation at some point. I've watched a few different people play this demo and all of them mentioned the idea hypothetically, so it doesn't seem too farfetched for one of the Jans to bring it up. Would be a wild move though lmao
I know its not actually changing the character's past, but I hope one of the "Alters" has the past where he cures his mom, or she never got the disease/condition in the first place.

Well having the one guy voice 80% of your lines is certainly one way of cutting down some costs. Interesting concept though, not sure I'm all in on the base building aspect of it but the story parts seem interesting at least.

It's an experiment to design the perfect crew. Previous experiments probably failed in various ways.
