Love your simple recipe ladies! Usually in baking I always add a pinch of salt, it actually brings out all the flavors so I wasn’t surprised that you both preferred it that way! It’s such a simple recipe, I will definitely try it! Lots of love to both of you❤️❤️

Sounds like you are talking about a traditional pone, which is made in Guyana, with all the spices, essence, and is baked. They made an alternative recipe here. There is also Guyanese pumpkin pone, with the addition of cornmeal.

I only like the edge of the casava pone, because it brown and crunchy sometimes. So by making it this way I will be able to enjoy the brown and crunchness throughout the whole pancake/pone.

Hey my dear thanks for the info but there are a few ways in making cassava pone, this is the very long time way remember they didn’t have ovens back in those days, so that’s the reason why they use the tawah…🙏🏻❤️🤗

@@SPARKLENTINGZI disagree Guyanese no matter how poor are always baking because it was cheaper than buying bread I enjoyed Christmas time eating homemade bread black cake buns hot cross buns homemade patties s cheese rolls etc from my black neighbours so don’t say that maybe some people did not have oven but some cultures eat a lot of bread and bake a lot some eat lots roti and did not need oven.
