When I was little, I loved the waterfalls, but DISLIKED the beaches on the west side. 🤦🏽‍♀️😂 I was a kid who grew up on the east side of the island, snorkeling and scuba diving around the reefs, the seaweed beds, and the bio bay. I played with anything and everything I could find underwater. My dad and uncle set up a tire swing for me on a mangrove tree patch growing on a tiny cay about 100' from the shore of Las Croabas. I used to swing and divebomb the seaweed beds. I'm sure the fish loved me for that. 🙄Matter of fact, it was a beautiful seaweed bed, where I found my husband's wedding ring at five years old, while snorkeling, a.k.a. harassing critters. Been married almost 30 yrs and he's still wearing it! When my family wanted to go relax though, we would go to the west side. I still remember, sitting on the beach, scowl on my face, scanning the horizon for something fun to do in the water. Nothing. It wasn't deep enough for me, and the water was always so darn warm. My parents would just lay on the hammocks and sleep, and I would sit on the shore, with my snorkel trying to find one fish in that water I could go chase. Nothing. I remember being sooooo absolutely bored!!! 🤭 Fast forward to now, in my forties and living stateside, and it's amazing how your perspective totally changes! 😅
Now?? I still love my adventure beaches of the east, BUT... when I go visit, I can't WAIT to head west, and lay on a hammock, like my parents did, and relax on those gorgeous sugar white sand beaches, with shallow warm waters!! 😍💜
Kid's view points are hilariously funny sometimes, and mine was no different. As a kid always chasing adventures, I couldn't wrap my head around the value of the tranquility and peacefulness of those beaches until my life became more hectic. Not only that, but my mom did mention that going to the west side beaches was the only time they could actually relax around the water because I stayed topside most of the time. 🤣🤣🤣 Only now, as a parent, do I actually understand and appreciate her statement. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Enjoyed the video ... very soothing and relaxing style. You selected a nice list of places to share. I also enjoyed how you chose El Faro de Cabo Rojo for the thumbnail. Quite appropriate, since to me it's the crown jewel of Western PR, and maybe all of PR. It's definitely one of my favorite spots in PR.
How did you decide on PR to travel to and explore? My parents are Puerto Rican, so I have a natural inclination for it. I love visiting and exploring the island. It's not big, but there is an abundance of things to do and places to see.

Hey Shwetha, you can search “Sia Dhillon Puerto Rico“ on UA-cam and find the 4 videos on PR or look for the playlists in Sia Dhillon youtube channel . I am sure you will have great fun in PR. I really liked Cabo Rojo area and El Yunque.

Arecibo no es area oeste sigue siendo el norte todavia Arecibo es mas cerca del area metro que del oeste. Arecibo esta a la misma latitud que Ponce ademas que Ponce esta mas cercano al oeste que Arecibo.

its a fantastic touristic video BUTTTT the Music Sucks. I Know its a comercial thing and a trend Issue. but in the future when all of these videos became classics everybody will notice how the media imposed to youtubers what music should be in videos. Its not the music of our time is the cliche music for videos. and youtubers knows it. They even dont like it and feel they have to put it anyway. When you are hanging out in this places thats not the real ambient background. Natural sounds are more realistic in non talking parts. Hisotry will be written like "In Its Attemp of becoming millionaires, youtubers search for the non copyright catalog available trying to gwt all the credits but fail to became millionaries anyway. "
