    Started doing this a week ago. It’s wild how onions simply regenerate. So amazing, thank you for sharing!

    I have a couple in my yard about this size from store bought green onions. It's amazing how fast they grow from the little root cuttings! Great video! Thanks for sharing!

      Yes they do, each little flower is a new onion bulb. Hundreds per plant.

      I shake them into paper and plant next season. Sometimes I let them fall and replant themselves.

    Show us the seed cause I thought it made a head with mini onions that you have to carefully take apart and plant

    • @brandontillery2715
      @brandontillery2715  Рік тому +3

      No you just wait until it blooms than I shake them and the seeds fall to the ground. There are onions that grow all over after that.

    When do you harvest tho? Do you not cut it for the whole time and don’t use any how long did it take for the flower

      Normally I'll plant in spring, Straight from the grocery store. I'll harvest around late summer/ fall. I like to wait until the seeds fall so I can keep them growing continuously.

    How do you plant the flowers?? Do you dry out or just toss in the ground??? I have some growing in dirt in a pot on my counter and waiting for them to get flowers. I want to try growing from seed

    • @brandontillery2715
      @brandontillery2715  Рік тому +2

      I wait until they dry out, than I shake them over the dirt and reqrow from seed. Put a small amount of soil over them and water.

      @@brandontillery2715 awesome. Thanks. I will definitely try. In Hawaii for a stalk of 5 thin green onion it's almost $3 a bunch so I'm definitely trying to grow as much as possible. So far cherry and Roma tomatoes and green onions, hot peppers and trying potatoes. I have leaves sprouting already. Next is garlic and red and brown onions, cabbages, squashes, and sweet potatoes. Gardening is life☺️ I feel at peace when I'm in the garden. Ty for the tips. Much appreciated ☺️❤️

      Personally I grow these for seed, I also eat the flower pods, they have a nice spice to them. I grow in a separate area my eating onion. You can use those as often as needed.

    • @brandontillery2715

      The flower blooms and each individual flower on each bulb turns into another bulb. About 100 per flower. I let them dry, than I shake them and they continue to grow into other onions.
