You can hear me playing a small sized overtone flute called 'koncovka' in key of D.
I made it out of a small trunk of Black elderberry wood a couple of weeks ago.
These flutes have no playingholes, you can play different notes simply by changing the airpressure and opening and closing the end of the tube!
'Two minutes to learn, a lifetime to master' they say :)
Love how it sounds! I can't even start to imagine how hard that is to play. But I love those harmonics. They feel very natural and magical.
it's actually pretty easy to play these! you should try once :)
@Joo2oob ja,dat klopt, hogere druk= hogere noot :))

SWEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing!!! I just can't understand how you can make different tones and melodies without holes or buttons. How does it work? Do you blow into the flute and make all those notes just by tapping on the end of the flute? I don't understand! But I'm very curious so if anyone could explain the "mechanics" I would be very grateful.
I've been using the owl call augmented with different lengths of coiled hoses and getting a similar overtone scale, but it seems to change with the length of the hose, the longer the hose the more notes in the scale until they blend, or seem almost chromatic. The IMAX projector i worked on for years had 15,000 watt water cooled lamps, so there were lots of extra hoses laying around. These videos make me wanna see what else i can do, cheers.
have fun experimenting!
@@1fujara Thanx for the inspiration!
This is beautiful! Is it hard on your ears to play such a loud high-pitched sound, or is it not quite as loud as it sounds? It sounds gorgeous, and I am thinking about purchasing one, but I don’t want to damage my hearing lol.
it depends on what type of flute you have , the Norwegian style ones usually have a fipple that is directed towards your ear, I flip it around for that reason. But in general when made well they are ok for the ears.
This brought a chill up my entire body and a tear to my eye…being full of Irish and Norse descent I see why
🌸♥️
Sería posible que me hicieras una flauta así como la tuya? Me gustaría aprender a tocar así 😀👌🏼
In Romania is called Tilincă ..It's a traditional instrument for ancient romanian music. Well done Clement!!
