Yeah he 100% plays songs he doesn’t know by ear, absolutely crazy talent, definitely one of the best guitarists I’ve heard.
I think you guys would also like Marcus Veltri who does the same thing on Omegle but with piano instead of guitar, very entertaining too.

He talked about his ability a few times. It's not perfect pitch, but he's practiced relative pitch (the ability to hear one note and figure out others based on it) to the point where he can basically play anything by ear. Love seeing people find TheDooo for the first time, reactions are always perfect! :D

He does play by ear 100% legit. He has some backing tracks ready if he is going to just play a song without a request, but they can hear everything we can, he also loops too so has some left saved from past songs he has played. Nice video.

Not perfect pitch but relative, at least that's what i remember him saying.
He does a lot of the transcribing by ear. He gets the basic chord progressions and then the main melody, and improvises shreds in between, so it’s not hard to believe that someone of his level can do that. He is however an amazing guitarist... also a great singer and piano player. The Dooo is talented.

He used to do requests on xbox live during call of duty games. A few of his videos he changed his tag to a female style name and this is kinda an evolution from those days I think. Nothing negative, but people would recognize his tag, and it was one way he could go incognito and get great reactions. Doo is great and I wish he did more guitar content.

Edit: I didn`t get the impression that people were doubtful or surprised that a girl could play the guitar. Maybe I am wrong, but the people reacting because The Dooo as a girl was looked at as cool and/or attractive. Not because they were surprised because he was a girl playing the gutar. Maybe I`m wrong tho.
But the fact that so few were bothered, and some not even reacting was kinda dope.
The Dooo also has said he started out not showing his face because he needed that angel to show the guitar, and then he just went with it lol

I think he might have perfect pitch, if not then he's developed a sort of pseudo-perfect pitch through super highly developed relative pitch, and like others have mentioned there is Marcus Veltri who does the same sort of thing but it's piano based. There was a kid at my secondary school who had perfect pitch and was a crazy good piano player and all-round musician type and I used to ask him to give me the chord progressions to songs I played for him! Crazy stuff.

That doesn't require perfect pitch, i have relative pitch and i do this crap as a sort of party trick all the time and listen to radio and play along the tracks for fun. I remember doo saying he has relative pitch on some videos.
