Thank you for having me over Rob! Sorry for the finger cramps man...
Super proud to share this style with everyone here. It was a blast - let's do it again some time!!!
Amazing work!
Idk if im inspired or should give up. Either way, insane guitar playing!
this is sick. great seeing you blow up man
nice !
crikey you're like the squarepusher of acoustic guitar
Marcin paid for the whole guitar.
He's gonna use the WHOLE GUITAR.
😂

That was well put . Humorous , but so true!
this is so polish actually

This dude is Paganini of guitar. No one has ever played guitar with that skill level. Being that young, he influenced the whole generation.
Never seen anyone extract so much from a guitar.
Paganini was the Paganini of guitar
bro you forgot paganini played guitar lmao
The modern Paganini is Tim tho
Paco de Lucia is watching from the sky, certainly happy and applauding
GUYS, HE IS A GUITAR PRODIGY!! PERIOD.
I'm SUPER impressed on how clean he is live. Wasn't sure if his stuff was edited but I was proven wrong today. He is definitely a master at what he does.
Right. He can do anything and he proved it here. He is fast and accurate
I think his stuff is pre-recorded or at least mixed really well. It sounds kinda...off when listening and seeing the videos
@@rosestrohm7986 no ur right. But literally every music video pre recorded. Either way he has the skills to play live anyways.
@@Neko_Nugget this isnt a music video.
This is literally trying to teach people how to make their guitar sound ike that. But they are literally faking the results.
You have no idea lol!
@@jordanekl5383 no I meant your right as in his stuff is usually pre recorded. I know this is about him teaching how to play like that. I’m just saying he’s legit
Marcin is already impressive, but watching him live like this is totally another level... Thanks Rob for having Marcin! RESPECT!! ❤️
tell you what, seeing Marcin play live - like really live in a concert hall, that's yet totally ANOTHER LEVEL! I mean watching Marcin in Rob's video is like sailing through the ocean but seeing him really live is like sailing through galaxies. I've been to Marcin's concert last year and I already can't wait to see him this year

And he was playing beautiful music while explaining how he achieved his effects that enriched the melody. But this man did not notice.
Maybe if you just want to listen to melody, you can listen to his version of Chopin, or also his own song "For The Sleep", for me the best for its composition and purpose, but not to sleep but to dream.
Best regards from Chile ☺️💖🇨🇱
Actually strumming it sounds way BETTER..the tone from just pressing it, is soooooo unfulfilling..those pieces of music just leave you feeling EMPTY

Not only is he an absolute virtuoso guitar player but the kid is cool as hell. Wicked funny and witty. His humility further adds to his stardom.

That's right, he's already etched in history.
Seeing how effortlessly he does it, whilst casually chatting, is the most impressive part of it all.

A lot of people hate on this kid, some even think he seems stuck up even though he never speaks in most of his videos. Hopefully this video shows them he’s just a kid who’s having fun with music
It's those people that have a pole stuck up their ass
marcin is way better than those haters, 1000%
because theyre all Tim Henson meat riders
I’m sure all the talentless miserable idiots hate on him. That is what they do.
True. I think the short form just makes a bad impression for some folks, particularly older generations - like me. Or folks who generally think 'less is more' - again like me.
I wasn't convinced by most of the stuff recommended to me about him so far, and he seemed cocky, showing off too much and overly expressive.
But today I watched 2 interviews and I'm impressed by what he does live, how much joy he has from teaching. Still showing off a bit to the point of smiling, but he must also be having good fun and be happy things turn out sounding great. Plus some good sense of humor on top and I'm sold. Especially after seeing some 7y old video from his school where he played classical / flamenco, so he clearly knows what he's doing and it's not just shredding for show hiding lack of skills.
I'd still want to listen sth calmer from him, with fewer notes, but that wouldn't sell as well probably. Maybe once he gets older and/or gets a baby he'll learn there's value out there value in silence / breaks ;)
My god, the only video of Rob I’ve seen that makes HIM look like the amateur. Marcin is insane. Big ups to Rob too, both amazing guitarists in their own right
To be fair to Rob, he's trying to pick up a technique that Marcin has already mastered. True there are similarities with things he's already done but that actually might get in the way. The fact he picks it up as fast as he does mind-boggling.
Not only is Marcin a fantastic player, but he has the great teacher mentality. Whatever he explains feels easy to understand and he goes into details of how and why you do something. I bet if someone had one month of lessons with Marcin, their skills would jump tenfold.
He teaches his techniques and breaks down his arrangements and compositions on his Patreon. He’s an incredible teacher.
Verbal Hyperbolic Time Training Chamber
I would love to be taught by marcin!
@@MasterCrander hypersonic lion tamer?
He has to be genius-teacher, because he teaches itself.
He belongs to a new generation of young guitar players like Nito, Henson, and Mancuso who are not only extraordinarily skilled, but who are inventing new ways of playing the instrument, expanding its tonal and rhythmic possibilities, and blending different genres of classical-academic and popular music, acoustic, electronic and digital, together seamlessly.
But they can't write. Less is more. This aint' no: "Know me broken by my master".
@@AW33COM Care to share some of your compositions?
Here's my take. I'm late 60s - loved both Jimi's(Hendrix & Page), Carlos, Eric, Duane, Beck, Kieth and so on. I've always loved talented and unique guitarists. I have an outdoor type skill I've been at for 45years and am considered an expert by many (5000+ days at my craft) and when those with little experience question me I can't help but ignore there uneducated opinion. I feel any haters or doubters are commenting with jealousy and no understanding. This young man is breaking ground and he's been at it for 13 years now - many have played for much, much longer. It's obvious he's put in the work BUT, it's also obvious he's a rare talent - very rare.I visited a Jazz guitar sit to see their totally in denial of this guys ability and I'm sure most have very little. Marcin should be embraced as I'm feeling lucky to watch one the the best guitarists or all time develop - but hey I'm just a silly old bugger.🤗
Marcin studied on Berckley composition and arrangment classes.
And profesors from this University said that he fake it when people ask how to play like Marcin. And it is imposible to play like that live sooooo...
He heard this from his colleges during his study.
"This is the hardest thing I've ever tried to learn on my channel, and this is my instrument!" 😄 What a fascinating approach to playing!
Oh, also ... wishlisted!
i feel like that's exactly the point, he mentioned it but didn't really went deep into it: trying to learn something completely new is one thing, but trying to rethink around one thing you're very accustomed to do already and approach it from a completely different perspective? that's hard af man

@@jaakkoikkela-koski3218 By live I mean a single performance all in one take in a studio. I can tell the social media posts are recorded separately, but I didn't think he could play like the recordings sound live.
He looks so calm while playing the craziest scratch demo
He’s a classical trained guitarist that got very very bored with keeping it as it should.
Good on him for breaking out
I was honestly surprised at how very humble he is! Like, I don't know what I expected, but the way he consistently said "no really, you can do it" and how he did NOT want to hear Rob say how good he was was just really nice and wholesome
And so respectful of Rob's talent, too! "Let me have this one thing!" 😂
probably part of the reason he’s so good
He is genuinly one of the most humble people I've ever met. ❤
Same, I've seen some of his clips and got the impression he was quite the opposite. I was mistaken. 🤷 Sometimes it's easy to associate extreme talent with arrogance, I guess.
@@eted2 I believe its how eccentric he is on camera that might lead some to believe that, not necessarily his talent. But the fact that he isn't just adds a depth to his charisma and persona. It is weird how quickly people can jump to conclusions, but its normal and understandable at the same time.
As a musician myself, I didnt get that impression simply because most people I know in the music scene have a similar nature - especially guitarists! (lol)
You can really tell how much Marcin feels the music he plays though, which I love to see when working with others. It really brings you in on the same journey they experience in the moment.
What an absolute monster, crazy. His ability to improvise and harmonize and play off whatever Rob throws up is very impressive. I love how he just casually talks through brain breaking patterns he’s tapping out with both hands lol wild. Even dudes hair is on point. Props to him :)

That’s Marcin’s signature with Ibanez, the MRC10.
I have to wonder how many guitars he goes through in a year, he's awfully hard on them.

Watching and listening to Marcin makes you realize right away a difference between a regular musician, no matter how good and an actual virtuoso.. This guy understands music on so many levels, theoretical and practical, it's insane and so rare...
Marcin got mad talent. So fun to listen and watch
Marcin is the sole source of my guitar playing insecurity, as a 21 year old guy from Poland, having 1% of his skills. Wish him all the best tho!
I remember learning Capricho Arabe, came across his video and was like "oh shit"
I can relate, absurdly good players are a curse and a blessing, bringing you into some „practice harder/just burn your gear and be done with it“ mood at the same time ;)
Yeah, Im less of a specialist and more of a jack of all trades. Not excellent at anything, but good with many. Seeing guitarists like these guys are amazing, both such different styles, but gorgeous sounds that I absolutely cannot make on my guitar, lol. But can these guys make a clay sculpture? Or a painting? I have no idea, props if they can but just saying everybody has something they do better than someone else.
For me it’s Tim Henson because we’re the age
Give a listen to Matteo Mancuso. If he doesn't make you quit guitar, you'll be fine.
I'm really glad Rob had Marcin on here to clear up any theories that his playing is fake or edited lol I see so many comments of people debating that.
He basically says he plays this way... because he can. Why wouldn't you? ❤

I thought Tim Henson, Ichika Nito, Mateus Asato, Manuel Hernandez, the likes of those guys are the top of the food chain rn. Until I'm listening Marcin. Holy God this guy is unbelieveably amazing, and how young he is. Idk his ceiling gonna be in his 30s.
Marcin will eat those other guitarists you mentioned alive.
Marcin is above them. Is just insane
I view them as all equal. Tim is a legend in his own right, with an ELECTRIC Guitar and HIS style. All of those guys including Marcin are the future of guitar and music, and I don't place any of them above the others.
Marcin is talented and polished, some other Fingerstyle greats are Don Ross, Andy McKee, Antoine Dafour, Luca Stricagnoli . . . . he plays a three necked guitar
Just wait for him to find out playing simple is the real deal :D
Only true geniuses are able to stay truly humble and grounded... Marcin is the best proof of that.
I noticed the nails right off and thought, “oh, wow, he not only has 5 guitar picks now but has extended his reach and they have their own percussive sound!” This young man IS the music, he feels it throughout and expresses it in so many ways. I hope he is appreciated for his focus and musicality for his whole life.

I found myself looking at Marcin and going "Wow they're jamming really well" only to look over and see Rob not playing at all and instead just being as enchanted as me
There is something about just getting together...with no plan...and just having a jam session together....that improv was just awesome......thank you both.
Marcin hears and feels music very differently than most of us.
Marcin looks very young but it feels like he is been playing and experimenting with the guitar for 100 years...totally out of this world 🙃
I’ve never seen rob get outclassed on a guitar before. This guy made rob look like a noob
In Marcin's vids he comes across as a tad cocky and full of it. But after seeing this I realize he's just having a blast playing his guitar like...not a guitar
Marcin has no frames or borders in his brain, that's why he's so innovative.
For years, i thought that Tommy Emmanuel is THE best classical guitarist on the planet.
But then ... there is Marcin !
Who leaves me speechless and gobsmacked and mind blown every single time i watch him playing, *becoming* the guitar.

The broken fingernail which ended the video shoot was a touch of grace; I mean, grace sanctifies nature and perfects it; or, as we are given to understand, what makes prodigy exceptional is that its greatness still inhabits human fragility, our common talent!

The most impressive thing about this is his ability to articulate and have clean conversation while executing the guitar playing. It really goes to show how second nature the playing has become. Beautiful virtuosity exemplified.

Very rarely I come across a video that makes me so impressed that my only reaction is to just laugh out loud - this is one of those videos. Marcin is just on a whole different level of talent. I've been watching him for years and I just can't comprehend how he's able to make everything seem so effortless. Doing all his craziness on the guitar while talking about it like it's not a big deal. It's just crazy.
Truly can’t believe Marcin’s live audio sounds this good
The is way beyond next level
I saw Marcin in Jareds shred collab and was shocked how cool his part sounded.
Cause I'm usually not a big fan of percussion on a guitar because I hear a lot of times that people just play the guitar and tap on the body every now and then. It just feels like they're doing the percussion for the sake of percussion and not because it fits the song. He's so good and you can tell how excited he was lmao
That was the first time I'd seen him as well. He ended that shred collab with something that I wouldn't have thought possible on a guitar.
