Thank you for this comparison review! I eventually want to get both of these because I like collecting different bibles but the Bible I’m getting first and will probably use more is the spiral Bible! I am currently reading through my one year expressions pink NLT Bible and I love it! I hope they make an amplified note taking/ illustrated Bible soon!
I’ll just keep using my interleaved bibles. I am tempted to get the psalms & Proverbs Illustrated Bible because there are so many things to art journal in Psalms.
Thank you for this review! The Illustrating Bible is massive, not very portable, and doesn’t turn easily on the spiral. However, each line of Scripture can generate more than one line for notes. Also, price wise, it beats the spiral Bible by far. All what’s important to you, I guess.
Thank you for the comparison. You're right....it looks like the Spiral Bible is more for taking notes (although, of course, you could do art), and the Illustrating Bible looks like the margins are more for creating art. Both have great uses! I, too, wish there was a KJV or an NKJV of the Illustrating Bible!
I think I’m going to get the spiral Bible even though I’ve never read the KJV before. I have a really hard time with anything under 9pt font without soecial reading glasses.
I was pondering the Illustrating as I just came across it for the first time yesterday, so I am so glad to see this. Still don't know if I'll go this route, but I love the look of it as well as the writing space, so I would certainly buy it just to own it if money allowed. But because it's not in ESV, that might be the thing that makes this a pass. But we'll see. I'm just checking things out for now since I won't buy until closer to the end of the year. Glad I came across your channel to see what else you review though. Thanks!
Hello please advise me as a beginner which one would suit me. I would love the full bible with a little bigger print. Also where could I buy them from. Please help me decide.
How are you using your illustration, bible and keeping it intact? I just bought it and it is absolutely stunning. But there's a problem I just got it today and I how to get into the word... At twenty five minute study and the front pages already look like they're trying to rip from the spiral.... My heart is sinking and i'm wondering if I just should send it back. That might be the course of action... I don't want to, but I just cannot see these bibles withstanding using. I was so gentle
Mine don't seem to be so sensitive. Maybe the paper was changed with yours (supply issue?)? Not sure. I am very careful with mine, and I don't travel with it so it's not a daily reader for me. I use digital and smaller Bibles for daily readings.
My issue with the Illustrating Bible is the “hardness” of the paper vs. regular journaling bibles. The Illustrating Bible paper absorbs product more than regular Bible paper.
Do they have the Spiral Bible old and new testament or just the New Testament?? I just got the illustrating bible very disappointed 😞 I can't see it not even with my reading glasses . It's headed back tomorrow
First thing I notice I prefer the width of the CSB but the spiral on CSB is so ugly and amateurish. Much nicer spiral on the ESV. Besides, I searched for the Pentateuch version of the ESV but that is not out yet.
I did a test on all of my markers here for you to view: ua-cam.com/video/y8xwVi_1HG4/v-deo.html Yes there is ghosting and bleed through depending on how "inky" your markers are.
I would get the illustrating bible if the text was large!! Its tiny! Other than that its perfect but I guess if I can't read it it does me no good lol.. I want to talk to these bible people that decide how to make them!! Who wants tiny print?
I think both are way over priced. The illustrating bible the printing is way to small. The Spiral bible cover is not laminated, plus they went up from $129.00 a set to $149.00.
Thank you so much for the comparison.
I do wish they’d reinforce the pages where they’re attached to the spiral 😊 They’re both beautiful.

I just got the Illustrating Gospels one, really like it and looking forward to journaling and creating art!
I’ll just keep using my interleaved bibles. I am tempted to get the psalms & Proverbs Illustrated Bible because there are so many things to art journal in Psalms.
Yes! I have lots done in Psalm and Proverbs in my regular journaling Bibles. I love reading them!
I’m very pleased with it and will write prayers over each psalm .
This looks amazing… I wish they did more translations. We don’t use the old translations in the uk.

Thank you sooo much. I have the illustrating bible and was trying to "imagine" the font size difference.
Excellent video. Very helpful, thanks!
Ooohhh I'm all for it and excited for it!!!
It wd be easy to note "where you are"
uppermost on the right page of the
CSB : Book, chapter and verses.
Or write it on tape and ad it in.

Me too!

So glad I found your video. Great information. Have a blessed day.
I'm glad it was helpful! thank you!

They have other versions now and they come in 10 font☺️
Thank you for the comprehensive comparison, so helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
This was so helpful! Thanks
THANK YOU!!
Dayspring = Paragraph format. Spiral = Verse by Verse. Hope that helps. :)
Oh yes!

You can get the spiral bible in translations other the KJV ❤
Thank you for this comparison review. I got the Spiral New Testament in KJV but I thought it was too flimsy. It needs a thicker backing. tfs✨
Thank you for sharing!
The lines shd be tighter and reach across the whole column.
Hello please advise me as a beginner which one would suit me. I would love the full bible with a little bigger print.

Please help me decide.
Most beginners choose the illustrating Bible. You can buy them on Amazon or most Christian bookstores
Very nice 🥺🥺🥺
i love king James

Can you use a highlighter pretty good on it
Hmmm...I'll have to look at absorption...never really thought about that being different - but you're right - thank you!
Yes, but alway test yours on the last page to see if there is bleed through. Lately I've been using gel highlighters instead of inky ones.
I wish Dayspring sold blank pages of the illustrating Bible. So testing pens and markers and inks.
Do they have the Spiral Bible old and new testament or just the New Testament??
I just got the illustrating bible very disappointed 😞 I can't see it not even with my reading glasses . It's headed back tomorrow
So sorry about that font size! Yes the Spiral in in the OT as well (you have to buy multiple spirals to get the entire OT).
First thing I notice I prefer the width of the CSB but the spiral on CSB is so ugly and amateurish. Much nicer spiral on the ESV. Besides, I searched for the Pentateuch version of the ESV

Thanks for the review. How is bleed through with markers for the spiral bible? Is there ghosting?

Yes there is ghosting and bleed through depending on how "inky" your markers are.
I've heard there's no bleed
Hello ! What's a better version of the bible in your opinion? CSB or NIV?
I have a heart for NIV, but both are great translations!
@@BibleJournaling thank you so much 💕 God bless you
update on this the Spiral Bible comes in KJV, WEB, and NLT.
also the CSB Illustrating Bible is coming in a Brown color (on Preorder for August)
Thank you!

Totally agree!!!
I totally agree. I like all the aspects of the IB but the font size.
I think both are way over priced. The illustrating bible the printing is way to small. The Spiral bible cover is not laminated, plus they went up from $129.00 a set to $149.00.
Wish they made the illustrating Bible in king James or new king James. I am not a fan of niv
That would be fantastic!
