Maymay takes a premade 49 and Market portrait blank album and turns it a cabin in the woods!
So gather up those supplies and let's build a cabin!!!!

~~Measurements~~
(12) pages- you will need 6 pieces for the pattern paper that are cut to 6" x 8" . ** make sure to watch the paper's orientation... see the video for correct cutting instructions
(2) covers- you will need 2 pieces of pattern cardstock cut to 6" x 8"
(1) cabin roof- you will need on piece of red cardstock cut to 4 1/2" x 11" score on the 4 1/2" side at 1 3/4 " and 2 3/4 ~~ then turn to the 11" side and score at 1 1/4" and 9 3/4"
(2) roof edges- you will need 2 strips of red cardstock cut to 8 1/4" x 1/2" you will trim as needed after placement
(2) roof edges- you will need 2 strips of red cardstock cut to 2 1/2" x 1/2" you will trim as needed after placement
(12) photo mats- you will need 12 pieces of cardstock cut to 4" x 6" ...tip many people use copy paper for these mats

On the page with the Santa you could make slits on where the lines are above Santa and allow you to tuck the frame underneath it allowing all the Santa to show
Love, love, love the window! You could even place a decorated tree, fireplace and/or decorations on the wallpaper first, to be seen through the window. Oh my, the possiblies. Love it!

I love the roof, looks like a metal roof that has started to rust. I was also yelling to use the moose, glad you heard me. lol He isn't to big....moose are huge anyway, so to me he is the perfect size. Love how this album came out, so fun too! Hugs, Brenda

I love your beautiful work. The moose in the front made me curious so I looked it up. A full grown bull moose can stand up to 7 feet tall at the shoulder! He certainly is not too big compared to Santa😯
Another gorgeous album, Maymay! I've been tossing up whether to buy the paper pack because it is so stunning, but I have so much Christmas paper already. After I saw you make the gingerbread house, I decided to do a haunted house in landscape orientation with the same album used in this video and I used a Halloween Doodlebug paper collection so it's not too scary for my grandkids. I used corrugated kraft gift tags painted and distressed black for the roof tiles, and created an opening door on the front of the album with a scene behind it and a ghost coming out of it. I made some interactive pages inside, and really love the way it turned out. I still want to make a gingerbread house. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

I have made a few albums using the 49 and Market premade albums... love using them!! But have never turned them on their side like this one.... I was one of the ones that pointed out that there is a side when you open them that lays flatter... So was glad you mentioned that in this video. Another thing I have come to the conclusion to is that making them where they use 4x6 photos makes it more likely that the recipient will actually put photos in the album.. I do make one that I add the photos for them as I print the photos myself and I prefer the 3x4 size.. or even in a circle. Of course that comes from my years of scrap booking. I noticed a long time ago that I was one of the few that liked to cut the people out like I had used a die to cut around them. BUT, family members and friends do not have any idea how to do any of that... so... 4x6 photo mats are best for gift giving I think. Love this album!!!

I used one of the pre-made albums to make an album gift for dear friends of mine who celebrated her 50th anniversary this year with a grand trip. I used travel themed papers and she was just thrilled with it. Thanks for showing us how.
