I'm nearly 60, and I got my dreads when I was 50. I love them. Some people think I am too old to have them, but I won't be giving them up. I love most things about them, even the frizz. They are so fun; and like you say they are super easy to style. I can just roll out of bed and do nothing at all and they look great! I love your channel. You are the brightest, cheery person! You always make me smile. I'd listen to you talk about anything, but I'm glad it's dreads! 😃
Hi Annie, I put dread in my hair at 62 , I only have two dreads right now after three years. I actually combed the rest out. I miss them so much. When I am feeling up to it I am going to put them all back in. Just love dreads. Lovely to meet someone with age that lives dread as well. Hugs
@@youraussienomadfriends Hi Gail, thanks for your reply! It is nice to hear from another lady my age who loves dreads. If you miss them, for sure put them back in! I was a bit nervous to put them in at first, but I never looked back once I actually did it. I have 44 dreads, and I left my bangs straight. I let them go my natural grey, but I did add a few platinum blonde ones. I hope you get yours back soon! x
Awww you are so sweet! Thank you hehe and I bet you are rocking those dreads, it really doesnt matter what age and super happy you feel the same! :) Thank you for your comment xxx
Hi again You are so honest about your dreads and that's so refreshing to see especially with your extension I welcome the advice about the thin real dreads as they grow mine is that way. Am thinking of leaving them that way although I really don't like the thinness because lower down they are much thick. I choose to leave them this way because of the weight am 54 got mine done at age 50 so the weight I really might not appreciate. Might change my mind in the future I really can't say for now. Anyways great advice. And you looked beautiful in the car love that lipstick look on you. Enjoy your day have a safe one. God bless and keep up the good work of informing us. Thanks alot.
Hi thank you for your comment and yes try leaving them thin if you dont mind the look but they may get weak over time, being thin but your right, definitely less weight hehe :) Thanks again :) xx
Seriously so happy to see you back!!! You were literally my inspo pic when I got mine. It's only been like 6 weeks. I love them most days but I'm pretty fuzzy, trying to embrace it! But how do you deal with loose hair and the fuzz halo just day to day? I know you've done a video on hairstyles to hide the loose hair, but I'm needing some tips or tricks on just how to deal with it everyday!! My perfectionism is going insane! 🤪
Hey Morgan congrats on getting your Dreads I'm sooo happy for you! hehe. And so at the start of my journey I just embraced the messy stage because I knew it was part of it (If you watch my 4 months update or 6 month update videos youll see how messy they were haha). And so I realise thats not much help, but you could start maintaining the super frizzy ones now with a crochet needle if its really annoying you, I often just crochet single ones here and there if they have more frizz than the others and annoying me... But just remember to enjoy the messy part of the journey ;) Thanks so much for your comment, your so sweet and I hope you have an amazing time with your new dreads! :) xxx
I agree with all your personal opinions for pro and con :) I have otherr cons but thats more for me personally 1. They are expensive. I mean i was getting then professional done and the maintenance. Thats more expensive than i thought at first xD and the extensions are really exoensive too 2. The extension can fall out bit by bit thats normal but really annoying 3. I have partial dreads and normal to straight fine hair so my hair styles are limited. Sometimes it looks a bit weird and i dont know what to do with them
Hey thanks so much for your comment, 100% we all have our own personal little cons but with the extensions falling out if you use synthetic hair to connect them that wont happen anymore... I hope that helps one of your cons because it was a game changer for me! :)
Oh yes of course. I think i have fallin in love once more with my hair. I never liked my straight normal hair but now its cute. I guess my cons will be chamging once my journey is longer and all my hair is dreaded
How do you keep the breakage hairs in?? I feel like I will get mine tightened and then they come right back out. Especially around the front of my face and also around the bottom of my hair
Aww Tiffany I totally feel you and I'm so sorry but I have no solution :( I pull the hair in around my face (Like I do the maintenance) like every second or third week or I will just twist them before I put them up if I havent done the maintenance but I havent figured out a better solution yet :( Probably if we can work out how to have white blonde hair without breakage this would be the best thing hahah xxx

Just a tip 💚 if you attach human hair dreads with synthetic hair I find that it works PERFECTLY
