I remember working at CP in 2002 and watching the ride test a week before the park opened. While testing one of the wheel covers fell off and flew onto the midway right in front of me. The next day, the wheel covers were removed and they've been gone ever since.
I went to CP this past August for the frist time in a long long time. I was able to get on Twister a few times, all before I knew it was its last season. So I'm happy was able to get on it 🤗
You got a lot of good shots. It was hot but nice sunlight. I shot a bunch too I'll upload later. I got some from inside the line queue. I might have to circumvent crappy park music copyrights lol I don't have the ability to talk in a vlog video like yourself and others. That's understandable you got the date off by a bit. My friend rode Millennium Force for TV a long time ago talking all the time while he was riding. He said he was sitting in 'bay side' in the station when it was actually 'load side'. he knew he goofed but didn't correct it. he was so loopy from riding it whe knows how many times loI I only had time to ride WT 3 times. I sat in the back row once 50min wait. I liked that row to see All Wheels Extreme when they had the stadium. This day was a nice send off for WT.

Lmao 9:44 he just said nope to the people running. Like bro come on. When I worked there if people were sprinting and 10 feet away just wait 2 seconds and let them in. Dont chain it as fast as you can, especially on the last day ever of the ride.
@@superRobertoist I hope it does, and that they have the room. If Six Flags can clean up, and repaint two of these models, then wicked twister deserves to live on at another cedar fair park, or at least be sold.
@@oneandonlysound3453 I completely agree. Obviously I did not talk to the dippin dot's guy. That was a joke. But I did talk to one of the wicked twister ride operators and they said that they were in fact going to keep it and move it to another park. He had told me it would be knotts Berry farm. But we shall see
Well even though it’s not the best, lots of people love it and get nostalgic for it. And it was also the last day of this being open, so a lot of people probably wanted to get one last ride on it before it closed.
@@Meatloaf8 I agree. Felt the same way about Iron wolf at Great America, long gone to be replaced by Goliath. Too bad Deja Vu was down a lot of the time and probably led to its demise.
I hope they send it off to another park, how many of their own in the chain can use a launch coaster, and this one has the best design with both sides having the twisting spikes. CP seems far more wasteful though when it comes to stuff like this. Considering Six Flag's clean up jobs on the two they own when people thought they'd get removed or relocated, wicked twister could fit in especially at one of there parks that desperately needs a launch coaster (Six Flags Over Georgia comes to mind).
What is going to happen.....??? Wicked twister 2.0 will become---> Wicked gold 😃👍@ cga! With a black and red track gold supports........ Jk I'm not sure???😅
I’m sorry, but the words “you don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here” really irritated me cause like, what’s the point. They don’t have to leave the park right away but they can’t stay there for a few minutes longer to watch the final launch. Seems like kind of a jerk move to me. (Obviously I’m aware that it was most likely so that they didn’t have a huge crowd there while the park was closing, or some other reason that’s logical and makes sense. I’m just saying how it sounded. Especially with the tone that guy used) Edit: I was skipping through the first time and I rewatched that section to see everything, and he did say that they had to start cleaning up and stuff, but everything I said still applies.

I was actually on the last public ride ever it was one of my favorite rides and glad I was able to ride it one last time

It's nearly been a month and I miss this ride so much.
My home park is great america and im thankful we still have ours. I fear that it will be removed in the near future
I got to go that day and ride it one last time. Bye wicked twister, you’ll be missed.
I just noticed that I quoted the wrong year that wicked twister opened. I said 2001 in the video, when the ride actually opened in 2002.

Me not already exposing you thats my job BARK 😤😤
I worked this the year it opened. Was the 3rd crew member to ride. Did the 1st launch opening day.
Such a sad day. This was an underrated rollercoaster. Had so much fun on this!
My friend got the final, final ride on Wicked Twister. Lucky for him, a bit jealous but props to him.

@Xx Bylizzy xX I am infact hugging a person
I was on the last launch of wicked twister. I’m the one in the super troopers shirt!
I hope they give this ride to another park but something tells me their gonna scrap it 😞

dippin dots guy from Ecuador told me it is going to California at Knotts Berry Farm

I Would of Love to Have Gotten One Last Ride on Wicked Twister... But with Covid 19 & Living in Ontario Border Restrictions Prevented Me..
Yeah, as a fellow Ontarian the massive crowds without a mask in sight are a huge turn off…
I hate seeing myself in all of these final launch videos LOL Great shots though! I saw you around a few times yesterday!
Lol I agree
Only Got To Ride It Once.
RIP Wicked twisted
I got lucky cause I rode this in June of this year
What’s so great about?
Vertical Velocity the same thing at Great America in Gurnee.
Deja Vu, was a much better ride, when it was there.

Man wish knew had a shot at a ticket of a lifetime. Would have tried harder to make it up.

I'm happy it's going...not a true coaster more gimmick. Valleyfair has one. It's okay...hope something big replaces that and maxair

Tony didn’t mean to be that harsh. Plus he was kind of half joking and serious about it.
