I have the A9II and am very impressed. I am also pairing with the new 200-600 G.

Would the A9ii work in event, travel and portrait, I own the a7iii.
I’m not professional but I do appreciate the autofocus and a great camera, the most sports I take is soccer for my son’s team and paintball (speedball). After almost two years with the A7iii, I’m considering upgrading, which would you recommend?

Sure, the 20 fps and the super high hit rate of the AF is sexy no doubt, but if you are a birder, what about cropping in? Not only you picked the A7R IV (although for different reasons), there are birding/wildlife UA-cam reviewers who swear by the A7R IV as being THE best wildlife camera. For me? I am still trying to work that out. It seems to me the A9 II is like a Ferrari or Lamborghini that you have always wanted, but when it came down to it you realize what you really need is a top tier SUV like a Porsche Cayenne Turbo or Range Rover Sport SVR that you will be taking you dogs for walks, carrying your fishing gear for fishing trips and simple things such as as grocery shopping. And to be honest with you, I think out of all the A9 II vs A7R IV reviews, I don't think I have seen a single one that has chosen the A9 II over the A7R IV. There is a big part in me that would love nothing more than to fire shots off taking birds in flight with the A9 II, but I have a funny feeling I would always go back to choosing resolution of the A7R IV for cropping in at the end of the day. Quite frankly, for high resolution, may be even the A7R III is already enough for that matter. Right now I am shooting a Canon 90D, at least from a psychological standpoint it is kind of hard to swallow upgrading to a camera that costs more than 4 times the price of your current camera and yet has less resolution...?? I don't know, may be things will change when the A9 III comes out in a couple of years.

Don't understand this camera. Everyone says sports and wildlife camera but i always crop the heck out of my wildlife shots. Would 24 mp be enough for that?
