I miss the good old days when Wii was a thing everyone was playing. But now the PS4 and Xbox 1 has taken that spot and I wish I could go back when wii was a thing and just play Mario Kart WFC and all the other games that I have for the wii which is a lot. 😢
I got my Wii in late (really late) 2006. I loved it soooo much I just had to have ALL the games for Wii. But then launched Wii U. I was hyped for Wii U and got it in early 2013. I have loved the Wii family ever since. Except for the ugly Wii Mini.
We love hardcore games with high end graphics that PS3 and XBOX 360 show to us. But, Wii is the most successful console in 7th generation wars. Sold over 100 millions console worldwide. 2nd to XBOX 360 (83 millions) and 3rd to PS3 (82 millions). Case closed.
It's a matter of opinion. I'm 21 and I appreciate Nintendo from their glorious beginning though their darkest days of the Gamecube. And they may have a lot of kid games for Wii, but a lot of adults enjoy them, like myself. Unlike those who only care about violent, gory, FPS games.
Funny to think we've had this Wii technology since the late 80's early 90's...I vividly remember being in a museum and playing with this kind of stuff on a big screen tv.
Funny to think this technology has been around for almost 20 years. I remember in the early 90's as a kid visiting a musem where in one exhibit was this huge big screen tv. There were two games you could play, one where you were underwater and you popped bubbles that assended from the bottom of the screen or on land with different colored balloons. And I played it with my arms and legs, not a controller.
@BrunoSan1986 The Wii is capable of playing Nintendo Gamecube games. You can also use the Gameboy Advance link cable but that only works for some GC games.
I don't so much care if its realistic or not, but I got my Wii the day after Xmas, I only have 2 games, and I already think its the most amazing system I've ever owned. Its FUN.
Nintendo Wii is a gaming revolution. It´s fun to play, more interactive, and you´re not only pressing buttons. About the graphics, it meybe not the best, but it has very good graphics capability. Great gaming console.
@liammunky yeah but if you go to VDigi (dot com) ( put it into Google search engine) you can get an upscaler for the Wii. It changes the analog output from the Wii into digital, then upscales it to 1080p through an HDMI output. It plugs into the Multi-out and a USB output on the back of the Wii..
You're looking for Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Metroid, Resident Evil 4, Super Paper Mario, and No More Heroes. At least, those are a few of my personal favorites.
The Wii U only really needed to be the Wii with HD graphics. Not really sure if the tablet is going to grab the sales it needs. But I know I'll sign up for one!
2 Zeldas, Mario galaxy 1 and 2, Metroid other M, Metroid prime 1-3, Red Steel, SSBB, Mario Kart Wii, Monster Hunter tri, Deadly Creatures, Bully, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Sports + old classic games. Nothing, yeah?
Back in the days it was simple to tell the difference between the upgrades of the game systems. Nintendo Entertainment System was 8-bit of graphics. The Super NES and Sega Genesis ran on a 16 bit. The Playstation and Sega Saturn was 32 bit while the Nintendo 64 was 64 bits. Now they don't even publish the bit size as the processing memory is not published. But either way anyone who knows about graphic capability would see the PS3 and XBOX 360 are neck and neck for best console.
Nintendo mostly focuses on how games are played. The Wii is a good start. And I say they're on the right path. Some people just say it sucks because it doesn't have HD... or DvD player... as if they had anything to do with games. The Wii is an awesome system. I know that because I gave it a chance.
during mid 80's-90's Nintendo dominated the Sega. But when Sony launched there console Nintendo dropped the sales. Until now Sony PlayStation is dominant among the brands.
@zwarrior116 True, but it was also a wii game, either way, its not available on rival consoles. Of course everyone has different opinions and I can understand if you don't agree on the games i chose in those categories but the reason i put them there is because they have unviersal critical acclaim in their genres and because despite not necessarily being the "best" in the view of some people, they are nevertheless great games that prove the wii HAS good games too
Man, how different this trailer looks to the wii u one. You see people having fun, from many types (young, old, men, women) with the technology (wiimote) as a tool in the background. It felt like a true generation leap while the wii u feels more like selling you a technology that makes jobs that people doesn't need (off-TV) or care (drawing) or other devices do better (internet, chat) trying to attract 3d parties and developers (whom hate nintendo for some idiotic reason). What a sad change,
THATS THE IDEA OF THE WII!!!! and to add more of a feeling that ur actuly acomplishing alot in the Game, like using the Bow in TP, or Swinging the tenis racket in Wii Sports. The wii is so you have fun, not to sit on a person's behind, and do nonthing at all, regardless if one has fun or now. lately, i lost the fun to do that, so im geting a Wii, hopefuly soon.
For people that have a hard time finding more "hardcore" games i can point out a few released this feb. Deadly Creatures, Dead Rising:chop till you drop, Tenchu:shadow assassins, House of the dead:overkill, Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers and Rygar(actually a PS2 port but it was ok).
I don't know why everybody hates wii Nintendo wii its the beginning to the new generation And play 3 and xbox 360 are just perfect graphics Man.. FUCK THE GRAPHICS! THE FUN ITS MORE IMPORTANT!
Wii has alot of violent games and in fact is king for the horror / Survival action genre. Has a few decent FPS games, amongst others, such as the very bloody No More Heroes and Mad World. Wii may not be getting the big budget marketing or the big budget A teams, but it just means you have to look into its library since you wont be bombarded left and right with the latest stuff. Dead Space Extraction for Wii is advert on hulu though, so not bad. Anyway, its as violent as any other system
New Punch out, New Zelda, New Mario, New Pikmin, The Conduit, Cursed Mountain, Call Of Duty 5, Red Steel 2 (using MotionPlus!), MadWorld, House Of The Dead: Overkill (Wii exclusive), Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Disaster, Sadness, New Fatal Frame, Wii Sports Resort, Deadly Creatures, No More Heroes 2, Skate It, Tenchu 4, Animal Crossing: City Folk (online sort of "mmorpg" using the wii microfone!), Monster Hunter 3, Dead Rising, Onechanbara, Overlord: Dark Legend,
true,But i on read various articules coming from Sony, microsoft that they will step to another gen after around 10 years bcause its unnesesary to change too early(which is true). Nintendo said that so far they dont need to change, they will when other console changes to the next gen. and come to think about it, its been around 4 years already and no sign on a new console in any of the company besides of saying they are working on it.
Two questions: 1:why is endless ocean called foreverblue in this commercial was It like a working title or is that what it's called in japan? 2:What is the game he is playing at 3:19? I can't be the virtual drum set on wii music because you have to play that with the wii remote and NUNCHUCK. please reply
ok the way i see it is the 360 is for mature gamers while the wii is meant for anyone anyone can grab the wii and have fun but the 360's grafics make alot of those games to realistic for kids and the PS3 well what can i say its a very very very very good doorstop
about 4 or 5 of all the games that were shown looked interesting. fact of the matter is, wii has a very shallow pool of fun and exciting games in comparison 360/PS3. When you think about it, it really is kinda sad how badly the N64 glory days are totally over for Nintendo.
It was never a question for me about owning one over the other, I had a gamecube and Ps2 so getting the next system for both just came naturally. The only console I've never owned was the Xbox and that's because they've never given me a reason to care about any of them. Smash was the big selling point for me though I wish I had known about some of the other games that were on there that I do now.
I love Wii :D I acctually have one by my self and I am that kind of person that dosen't care about the graphic as long as the game is fun! I think Wii is the best video game ever because you don't then just hold a box and controll your player. Now you can be a ''part'' of it sort of
I have five games at the moment, not including wii sports due to the lack of good games out (and will be out). They are Zelda, Metroid, Radiant Dawn, Force Unleashed and Brawl.
I came back for the memories
Aaron Green yeah are you hyped for the switch?

I miss the good old days when Wii was a thing everyone was playing. But now the PS4 and Xbox 1 has taken that spot and I wish I could go back when wii was a thing and just play Mario Kart WFC and all the other games that I have for the wii which is a lot. 😢
X5GamErzWCubsLover Kaiden Taylor why not get a Wii U or switch?
Mikee Flores I am, I just miss the wii's glory and I am getting the switch
Still got my old Wii. Still playing those games from time to time. Still as fun as they were when I was a kid...
I'm still playing Wii and I don't see my Wii collecting dust anytime soon ;3
Crazy to think that with the Switch coming out soon, the Wii will be older than the Nintendo 64 was when the Wii came out. Man I'm old...
I got my Wii in late (really late) 2006. I loved it soooo much I just had to have ALL the games for Wii. But then launched Wii U. I was hyped for Wii U and got it in early 2013. I have loved the Wii family ever since. Except for the ugly Wii Mini.
we have it almost for 10 years and still love it
We love hardcore games with high end graphics that PS3 and XBOX 360 show to us. But, Wii is the most successful console in 7th generation wars. Sold over 100 millions console worldwide. 2nd to XBOX 360 (83 millions) and 3rd to PS3 (82 millions). Case closed.
Actually they sold 95 million not over 100

It's a matter of opinion. I'm 21 and I appreciate Nintendo from their glorious beginning though their darkest days of the Gamecube. And they may have a lot of kid games for Wii, but a lot of adults enjoy them, like myself. Unlike those who only care about violent, gory, FPS games.
The Wii's graphics look just like the gamecube's with minor differences.
Because of the Wiis size it was only twice as powerful as the GameCube
Funny to think we've had this Wii technology since the late 80's early 90's...I vividly remember being in a museum and playing with this kind of stuff on a big screen tv.
2019 ANYONE???
Aw yeah!
nostalgia

Lazarus Dixon i'm in 2017
This trailer gives me smile in 2020!
The quality is god awful. Has anyone managed to find a higher quality version?
This is the quality of the video 11 years ago.I had the same issue
This is what you get from a 2006 video before HD came around.
Henriko Magnifico well videos that were published 2005-2009 you gotta accept that the quality won’t be good like the present videos.
I love the gameplay on the first person shooters and the zelda swordfighting! :D I'm definetly getting some of those!
Lol
I got my Wii late 2009 wih Mario Kart Wii. It changed my life forever, I miss those days.
It's really cool to see a little bit of EU footage of games like Wii Sports, where the announcer is different

aw I miss the early Wii days :/
I haven't played my wii in ages but seeing this makes me want to play again
Parents be like "so is this the new Nintendo switch everyone's been talking about?"
It's been five years since Wii launched, wow time really flies doesn't it?
I still play the Wii. It’s my favourite console and the launch games are the best !
Wii sports
Wii resort
Wii fit plus
I played my Nintendo Wii so much when I get off the school bus to played with it good old time
I loved playing the Wii Sports bowling when the Wii came out in 2006 good old days.
That's why I got the Wii, got you up and moving!
This has to be the greatest trailer of all time
I used to watch it every day until I finally got a wii
Good times
I used to use the TV and DVD controllers to simulate that I was playing while watching this video over and over again, OMG.
getting a wii so happy 2 days from now
@BrunoSan1986 The Wii is capable of playing Nintendo Gamecube games. You can also use the Gameboy Advance link cable but that only works for some GC games.

It's 2006 tech yeah man
Nintendo Wii is a gaming revolution. It´s fun to play, more interactive, and you´re not only pressing buttons. About the graphics, it meybe not the best, but it has very good graphics capability. Great gaming console.
The Excite Truck jump at 1:33 looked huge!
I think I got my Wii In 2007-2008? Or maybe 2009, And its still working like a dream.
i think the wii is the consoles that give much fun
@liammunky yeah but if you go to VDigi (dot com) ( put it into Google search engine) you can get an upscaler for the Wii. It changes the analog output from the Wii into digital, then upscales it to 1080p through an HDMI output. It plugs into the Multi-out and a USB output on the back of the Wii..

that first guy is on the front of one of the booklets that came with my copy of wii music
i have a wii and can only say it's the best of all
2 Zeldas, Mario galaxy 1 and 2, Metroid other M, Metroid prime 1-3, Red Steel, SSBB, Mario Kart Wii, Monster Hunter tri, Deadly Creatures, Bully, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Sports + old classic games. Nothing, yeah?

Yes you can play online with a wii, you need to have wireless internet or buy a cable to connect the wii to the internet.
I want a wii back on dec 25 2017 THROW UP THE GOATS YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!
Very nostalgic
i have both and they're both excellent systems.
during mid 80's-90's Nintendo dominated the Sega. But when Sony launched there console Nintendo dropped the sales. Until now Sony PlayStation is dominant among the brands.
I bought the Wii because most of their great games comes from the start.
If i bought the PS3 from the start i would have to wait and wait and wait.
I miss the wii

I'm not talking about accessories, I'm talking about the actual console.
best gaming console ever
haha what's the name of the girl in the black!?
I don't know why everybody hates wii
Nintendo wii its the beginning to the new generation
And play 3 and xbox 360 are just perfect graphics
Man..
FUCK THE GRAPHICS!
THE FUN ITS MORE IMPORTANT!
is the Wii Remote Plus White better than just the motion plus add on? Also, which one uses less battery power, or both are about the same?
@13petar I certainly don't see the point of an inferior product the wii makes the xbox 360 look like a Playstation 3
Move was only released a couple years ago
I have a xbox 360 and a Wii.
Wii is nice, different way to play,
360 is like a PC.
Good graphics with a good video card.
Just it.
Wii has alot of violent games and in fact is king for the horror / Survival action genre.

Didn't know it's this old
The Wii was a great was a great console, but what happened to the Revolution they talked about just before?
You didn't know it, but you was the wokest man alive in 2018 for this comment.
They canceled the revolution and made it into the 3DS
How could you argue with how great wii is after watching that!!! It kicks Xbox's arse!
Actually the Wii needs to bring that bowling game of theirs to online.
New Punch out, New Zelda, New Mario, New Pikmin, The Conduit, Cursed Mountain, Call Of Duty 5, Red Steel 2 (using MotionPlus!), MadWorld, House Of The Dead: Overkill (Wii exclusive), Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Disaster, Sadness, New Fatal Frame, Wii Sports Resort, Deadly Creatures, No More Heroes 2, Skate It, Tenchu 4, Animal Crossing: City Folk (online sort of "mmorpg" using the wii microfone!), Monster Hunter 3, Dead Rising, Onechanbara, Overlord: Dark Legend,
both wii and xbox 360 are good i just depends on what you like to play i dont have anything against either
He's pretending to bite the pin of a grenade
true,But i on read various articules coming from Sony, microsoft that they will step to another gen after around 10 years bcause its unnesesary to change too early(which is true). Nintendo said that so far they dont need to change, they will when other console changes to the next gen.

This is SO underpowered.I love it though.I'll probably get the Wii U
Sometimes i notice that my disc input on the wii is lighting blue, though the wii is off. Why does this happen?
Two questions:
1:why is endless ocean called foreverblue in this commercial was It like a working title or is that what it's called in japan?
2:What is the game he is playing at 3:19? I can't be the virtual drum set on wii music because you have to play that with the wii remote and NUNCHUCK.

At first I was like why are they all carrying their tv remotes around lol

Hey man, its not the size of the sword that matters, its the furiousness of the attacks that's most important. And I'm the KING of ATTACK! :D
I love Wii :D I acctually have one by my self and I am that kind of person that dosen't care about the graphic as long as the game is fun! I think Wii is the best video game ever because you don't then just hold a box and controll your player. Now you can be a ''part'' of it sort of
