    Just discovered your channel and I absolutely love the lively, real conversation. Would be ideal for you to refer to the neighbourhood associations like the Distillery District’s Gooderman Worts NA, or my own NA - the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Association - many condo residents in both who would appreciate the insight you share.

      Thank you Sharon! Great idea. I used to serve on the GWNA and was a board president at 33 Mill Street for almost 7 years. I should speak about my condo board and community experience. I’ve always admired the work that the SNLA has done. You seemed to have a well-organized neighbourhood association!

    I think Junction triangle will be next superstar
    That Value village near Bloor and Lansdowne will be 31- and 33-storey condos plus new underground GO station (SmartTrack project)
    Also davenport diamond bridge park project, the design looks like New York High Line.

    Broadview/Danforth/riverdale/withrow park is the best neighbourhood. Great schools, parks, subways, streetcars, busses, malls, restaurants, grocery store. Everyone is friendly. Great community.

    How about the area around Kipling station? Lots of condos there

    The use of condos as investment income, creates desperation and further demand for housing, so the desperation of the middle and working class is used for profit by the very rich owners of society.

      Yes I can see how you think that way. That’s the extreme case, the ultra rich will always control every facet of the world, not only housing.
      I challenge you to look at it from a different perspective. Landlords are a result of investment capital. Landlords provide housing for those that want to or have to rent. Without landlords, there would be no inventory for tenants to rent from. Without investors, housing supply would not be built.
      Either way, there’s no such thing as a utopian society. Communism doesn’t work, there’s too much corruption and the people suffer. Capitalism as we know it has a big flaw where it creates inequality for the haves and have nots. No society is perfect. So I say if you are an average wage earner and you have the ability to invest your money to do better for you and your family and for whatever cause you believe in, you can do good with the money you do have. You can be a good landlord and provide housing for people, without ripping off or neglecting tenants. Provide them with safe housing. There’s nothing wrong with that. People need it.

    Thoughts on neighbourhoods in the York region? Looking for at least 3500ft homes. Toronto homes are too small, the bigger homes are over $5m too expensive

      Hi Mo, Richmond Hill is always good. If you're looking for better value, maybe even further north like Aurora or Newmarket. Book a consultation with us, if you'd like us to walk you through it.

    The neighborhood's mentioned all remind me of the Mount Pleasant/Millwood corridor. Ideal ideal ideal but they will never change and never grow.
    I moved there from Parkdale. We ran a family business on Yonge and Davisville. My kids grew up attending the schools and daycares, and I could go on all day, but it doesn't compare to my new neighborhood in Fairbanks.
    Just saying

      Yes there's other parts of the city that are just as wonderful to live in. It's getting a bit hectic in Toronto for sure, with all the traffic and density and population growth.

    How diverse is leaside and corktown? I'm consid3ring moving to either of those but when I visit them, I see only a certain "face" in those places. I'm a brown immigrant woman with lower middle class income (55k a year). I'd appreciate your advice of if I'll fit in

    • @KennethYimHomes
      @KennethYimHomes  2 роки тому

      I think all of Toronto is very diverse overall as compared to the rest of the world. Some communities more than others. Both are very different areas, I would say the closer to the core you are, the more diverse it is. If you live in Toronto, you will fit in anywhere no matter what ethnicity you are.

    The idea is good, but realisation coud be better.. First of all, you need to adjust sound, because someone was speking quite, but when all were laughing it was impsoble to listen to, so loude. Also it is better when you speak about some neibourhood to show it on a map, it was made only for some areace.

    I find it weird when someone from Toronto drives everywhere, I only drive to leave the city or the unfortunate times I have to go to places like "Golden Mile" ahhaha, walkable/Transit oriented neighbourhoods all day!

    • @KennethYimHomes
      @KennethYimHomes  Рік тому

      If I could, I would walk, ride a bike, scooter, or take transit everywhere I go. Our jobs do not allow for this, as we have to be in many different areas as possible, and it's not a set location that we have to go to. I'd imagine a lot of other industries are in the same situation. You're lucky! LOL the Golden Mile is great for families but yeah you're right.
