slst into stem (after completion), ch2, inc into first ch, slst back into same spot on stem, leave tail and then bring first and second tail to a different point in body & tie them
off!

Just finished the pumpkin it did turn out very cute my only issue I did find the eyes very low on the pumpkin almost seems like they are at the bottom. The next one I will move up a row I think.

I would add and increase row and a straight sc row and use possibly use a bigger hook

You could always try using stitch markers to help keep track while counting stitches
