Welcome to the Cozy Cottage Cabled Pumpkin Crochet Pattern video tutorial! In this comprehensive tutorial, we will guide you through each step of creating your very own beautiful fall home decor item.
To begin, we'll walk you through the description of the yarn and hooks used in this pattern. We'll also discuss how you can adapt the pattern to create larger pumpkins using bulky or super bulky weight yarn.
Next, we'll demonstrate the essential technique of crocheting the magic ring to start the pumpkin in the round. This technique provides a seamless and neat beginning to your project, ensuring a professional finish. We'll focus on the increase pattern as we progress, specifically the front post double crochet stitches. This technique is crucial for creating the intricate cable design that gives this pumpkin its unique and charming appearance.
Throughout the tutorial, we'll show you the cable stitch and row repeat, allowing you to easily replicate the pattern and create a consistently beautiful pumpkin. You'll gain confidence in understanding the repeat sequence and achieve a smooth and polished result.
As you approach the completion of your pumpkin, we'll demonstrate how to close the pumpkin securely, ensuring that the stuffing remains in place. Additionally, we'll provide detailed instructions on how to make the indents between the cables, adding further authenticity to your pumpkin's appearance.
To bring your pumpkin to life, we'll guide you through the process of stuffing it with polyester fiberfill, creating a plump and cozy texture. Finally, we'll show you how to add a delightful finishing touch by gluing a cinnamon stick to the top and attaching twine, giving your pumpkin a rustic and natural charm.

Love this so much! Buying the pattern now, going to buy the yarn today so I can get started! You're so great with patterns, MJ! I've got an entire book printed with just the patterns I've purchased of yours. I've been able to make things I never thought I'd even be capable of making because of you! I'm excited to make these, I've never tried a cable-look with crochet before.

thank you for this option for a beautiful pumpkin!! You use your left hand like I do, with the forefinger on the work and picking up stitches between the fingers. Never saw anybody else do it like that except me!

I had to pull mine back a few times because I didn't have enough stitches when increasing. Then I realised I wasn't splitting the 2 front post stitches that were on a single front post stitch from the previous row..does that make sense 😊

After you do the first row when you have to go behind on the two treble crochets. So it’s two front dc, then skip two, treble crochet two, then go back and do two treble behind. Then the three back post dc.
Next row is the 6 front dc and then the 3 back post dc.
The next row is skip the first two, then 2 treble, then go back to first :2 skipped and front post treble, then catch those two last 2 pull front and do two front post dc, then 3 back post dv.
Then do 4 front post dc and 3 back post dc round.
Then go back to 2 front post dc, skip two and 2 front post treble, go back and under 2 front post treble, 3 back post dc.
      I hope that makes sense.

Going on to row 11. Which is to repeat row 7. I am struggling for that row. I have the pattern. I have taken this out many times. I am determined to get it though. A new video segment showing going back to 7 would be great...Love your patterns and work. Thank you for that

    For the cable:
    Round 7 12:12
    Round 8 17:26
    Round 9 20:38
    Round 10 24:24
For this size it repeats 2 more times
    Hope that helps someone ❤

I love this pattern. However, if you use old panty hose to stuff , your stuffing stays in, especially if you need to clean it. I use knee highs in smaller amiragumi. 🎉

🤣 80 degrees is a hot October down in Northern Georgia, USA. It's around 50 degrees in the mornings right now. The flies here will hibernate in roughly 40 degree weather. I couldn't imagine dealing with flies in 20 degree weather!!
