@@mayort6548 Yeah, basically they showed a great version using that soundtrack in the trailer and then didn't use any of it in the movie. Took away most of what flashed me about the race. Bad call that one in my humble opinion.
This is better than in the movie because it is actually something you expected from the trailer !!!! It deserves way more love !! With the music and a longer track with more nods to other pop culture, it wouldve been a great way to end the movie.
I remember when I saw this in theaters, when he activated the Delorean's hover mode I about had a nerdgasm. The music makes me love this scene even more.

Now, there is that kind of karting scene sequence in the 2023 Mario Movie which uses Take On Me song, which I can see why Take On Me works well for good driving sequence scenes.

The race scene reminds me of every arcade style racer I've ever played. Motorstorm, Burnout, Forza Horizon, ect.

Thank you! We do this at home. We play a song through our Google home while watching a movie scene. You gotta try Mona Lisa Overdrive (Matrix Soundtrack) with the T-1000 chasing John on the dirt bike (Terminator 2). We don’t have editing tools, but can make it line up really well.
