I loved seeing the Endless Recorder review. I'm starting to near the end of my current bullet journal and I've not been happy with anything I've used so far, at least when I've used sheening, shimmer and shading inks. the paper just absorbs everything. I'd love to see how the Endless does with Sheen Machine, Nitrogen, and/or Emerald of Chivor. Or similar inks.
I don't use shimmer inks so I can't advise you on that, but the paper in the Endless Recorder is definitely not absorbent, and ink takes longer to dry than on the Rhodia paper. The shading is really nice with the green inks I have. For me the important thing is that it not bleed through and its good for that. Amazon has a cheaper journal I just ordered from Paperage that comes in a range of colors similar to the Webbie. I will do a follow up when I get it. It is half the price and is supposed to be fountain pen friendly. We will see... Let me know how you make out with your inks and the Endless Recorder!
Midori makes a clear plastic cover which helps make the paper covered journals more durable. I’ve used them on the Midori and other A5 journals.
