No, the government NEEDS to enforce the laws pertaining to the sell of controlled substances. There are two schools, Francis Willard and Russell Conwell, in the middle of this chaos. Enforce the law, close the store and the customers will stop coming here. Have empathy for the children having to see this every day on their way to and from school, having no place for outside activities. Enough is enough.
The department is hemorrhaging. For every one recruit two vets are quitting. The department had 6500 cops 20 years ago. They have 5200 now and they can't stop them leaving. Also, classes are much smaller. Classes used to be 150-160. Now they are like 40-45
So i might be moving from my far northeast neighborhood to Kensington so I can share in all that Police protection…what a joke for the rest of the city…sad…sad.
this is ridiculous!! theyre rookies, probably mostly kids fresh out of high school! come on, i know theyre trying to clean up kensington but what are a bunch of rookies going to do?!
What exactly will the ppl go? They sending them to rehab? Housing? They'll spend millions on "affordable" housing that often starts at 2-300k which low income folks can't afford but they won't invest a few million to rehab older buildings..these folks here will simply find another street..help the people first or this will be neverending..one shelter is not a solution..
Meanwhile my beastie in girardville is getting scammed by a man her son bought his house from..cops don't do squat n now her son has "allegedly" drowned in the A-hole quarry n the same day a man called n had her water shut off saying HE was the NEW owner and that the "previous owner died"..hours before he was even declared missing..he's still "missing..old owner has scammed them with four eviction notices by "new" owners, utilities shut off, defamation ads on fb calling them squatters..in house they paid cash for, have proof of and in a year and a half have been to cops, da, lawyer n ain't a thing being done to help them..
So they put the rookies into one of the most dangerous areas in America??
