It looks much better, but I swear they just added Terrain Deformation physics to those vehicles. They act exactly like the ground when you use a dozer blade to dig.
RTX reflections seeing around corners is gonna be a game changer for someone camping a corner that might otherwise have reflections showing them realistically. Finally something that gives an advantage for having high graphics vs those who play on potatoes and lowest everything to see targets better.
Always love to see Gaijin improve the visuals of the game constantly, especially the new afterburn and physics. (Car physics needs better sounds though). RTX looks really great but probably only a few people will be able to even use it even those with high-end PC's
They should add a thing so that those windows/mirrors at the end crack or break when there's an explosion nearby. So you'd only have an advantage if the area is 'clear' from previous combat.

New vehicle crushing mechanics are cute but it doesn nothing to improve gameplay. We have massive imbalances, poor maps, ghost shells etc. This game is slowly evolving into Tank COD. Ammo crates? Seriously? What's next, mobile repair bays?
War Thunder gave up on realism the second it became famous, now they just add pretty models and fancy effects for clout and throw people in poorly made arena-like maps with horribly outdated gamemodes that creates a very strong meta where around 80% of all vehicles are simply fillers and cannot fullfill the role they were built for, while the other 20% are the MBTs, fast glasscannons, fighters and whatnot. Plus they have completely ditched historical accuracy and realistic performance for both tanks and aircraft in favour of fast match times and game balance, yet the game is neither balanced nor realistic lol Also have you ever played any BR after around 8.7 where everyone has full stabilizers? It literally plays like a modern CoD game, its ridiculous, but hey, all the fancy models and effects looks good on youtube videos and instagram edits, right? so who cares if the game is a unbalanced buggy mess, eh... The only reason this game still has a significant playerbase is because there are literally no competitors and it is the only game of its kind
@@RalphyRoots Well the reworked map does not have an impact on FPS.So basically it stays the same as before.To have RTX enabled you need to have at least the RTX 2060 which will run bad but turning DLSS to performance and virtualy scaling resolution helps a lot. Well at least it was for me like that. With RTX 3060 I was able to get around 50-60 FPS on DLSS Native ( sometimes dips around 30 when GPU overheats ) and on Performance mode 90-120 fps.
I like how they keep improving the fire effects for destroyed tanks.. ….even though the effect is immediately replaced by the tiny idle fire when someone respawns so you can only see it for a few seconds at a time
They also change the Rain particles, it feels like the rain is being affected by wind, comparing to before they just fall straight down vertically and the new one falls in an angle, also the rain is more visible, looking at it more the rain also falls on objects with relativity as you can see they also fall at the edge of building structures like droplets.
Given how hard-assed Gaijin is about optimizing for people playing on toasters, I doubt that the vehicle deformation and water physics would even make it into the live server. Also, tf is up with the RTX x glass windows? it's a window, not a mirror. You're not gonna see a perfect reflection of the entire street from across the road.
The last parts look like battlefield 4 and I'm all down for it. I should have a choice one for the battlefield factions instead of Germany, I will never get this feeling without 4 plus years of grinding
At least they are trying to innovate the game a little. The destruction physics of larger vehicles needs some work for sure but the rest looks nice. Some tweaking here and there, and it will be fine.

8:55 I dont think rtx will support dynamic objects such as tanks. That would be so expensive. I think it only renders static objects like map, sky, etc.
