2015 victory Highball removed exhaust tips

- I took the exhaust tips off to see how it would sound
It was easy loosen the two Muffler clamps and the two bolts holding the Muffler bracket
I just bought a High Ball that has this done to it. It has an Anger Management EFI tuner on it. Sounds great and runs perfect.
They do run a little rich after the cut. If you put a stage one Maximus tune in and disconnect the o2s it runs great with zero problems
Yea it did run rich you're right about the tune also
Is good the sound only the exhaust.

i just bought a 2016 highball 3 weeks ago and itching for some new exhaust, just can't afford it right now. so thinking about doing what you did for a temp solution. how high is the risk to the engine of taking off the tips and cruising around like that? also what does remap the computer mean and is it easy to do?
first off congrats. as far as the pipes the risk of grenadeing the engine goes up significantly from a very lean condition hence is important to run a tuner (remap) on the engine
in short it's not recommended to take off the muffler tips without at least adding more air with at least a high flow filter
I did it cause I can't leave shit alone and a cheapo so you have my advice
I have the gunner, and its killing me to not go ahead and just do it hahaha I got all the bolts off and everything ready but the advice of the dealer was to buy a commander and all of that junk. Did you ever get a retune? I don't understand why they cant just tune it without buying the commander unit.

But no the bike is still as it is in the video and runs just fine
but that doesn't exactly prove anything other than I'm an idiot or a broke bastard who can't afford those pricey exhaust systems
did your CATS turn black? mine did after i did this I'm assuming from air fuel mixture?
Are you planning on drilling out that Cat/ honeycomb looking shit? I'm thinking about doing this can't imagine there would be much difference between this and the 900.00 bent pieces hollow metal pipes out there
Have you had any problems since you took of the back of your pipes?
no since then I put on a high flow air filter from victory it was like 40 bucks and still no re map of the comp. and it runs fine
still uses roughly the same amount of fuel in Phoenix not sure about other elevations

Seems like a poor mans way of getting extra sound from your pipes? I couldnt imagine this being great long term without being tuned, and it dont look great, its clear that its half the sytem attached. Just buy a new set of pipes if you want bigger better sound and performance.

I have the same issue I want a new set of pipes for my victory why the fuck do two pieces of pipe with no muffler or anything fancy on them run 800 to over $1000 for a few bends in them I think a lot of people go this route because that’s stupid when you can go by the same amount of pipes at any exhaust shop or automotive store for like 50 bucks which eventually is what I’m planning on doing why the fuck anyone spend $1000 for a set of pipes is fucking stupid
