A petition for a Marcus Aurelius movie to be made? This man was unarguably the greatest leader of ALL time. What a noble man!🗿🤴

I agree whole-heartedly! I also think it would be good to have Ryan Holiday involved in the writing and on site before and during production so that Hollywood gets it right (or as close as possible). It would be a major blockbuster!

If that’s the case, I would probably just go for a Netflix show instead cause I see it more so as a means of capturing his life in correlation with his meditations

I just discovered your channel recently and so glad I did. I'm a 60 year old depressed man with a lost soul and no direction. I'm just mentally tired of the ruminating thoughts of death and what my purpose here is on earth. Ironically, my name is Mark and my mother always called Marcus Aurelius growing up. I look forward to reading your books. Thank you.

Stoicism has changed my life for the best. I found it right at the end of the pandemic period - which was kinda a dark age of my life, shall we say - when I was needing a life changing view the most.
So, Marcus Aurilius was the first philosopher I got in touch with... Oh, man, that man was remarkably fascinating! Reading his diary really inspired me to write down my own and I always keep most of his thoughts in mind, especially this one: " you can live life right now. Let that determine what you do, say and think "

"True value lies not in possessions or external achievements, but in the strength of character, the depth of wisdom, and the sincerity of one's heart."
Embrace the Stoic path by cultivating virtues such as wisdom, courage, temperance, and justice. Focus on developing your inner qualities rather than chasing external validation. Through self-reflection, continuous learning, and practicing mindfulness, you'll gradually become more valuable in the Stoic sense.

We search records of history to find the 'ideal' leader. We are always disappointed to find even the best, showing afflictions of greed, hubris, arrogance, corruption, even among today's leaders. But in Marcus we find one that stands alone, who stands for everything we hold in veneration.

    I LOVE Marcus Aurelius!
However, he precipitated "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" by naming his son Commodus as his heir.
EVERYTHING else he did before should have made him the greatest Roman Emperor of all time!
During this era you have to love your country MORE than your own family. The fact that he did not do this will ALWAYS take the shine away from his significant legacy!

I think using AI as a tool is fine, but this is pushing it a little in my opinion. AI is at its best when it is not seen, when it is not known, when it is behind the scenes. Here, the AI is in full display and it took out too much of the human element for me. I appreciate the content though, just thought I'd offer some constructive criticism.

@@darlagrimsdell4649 For me, it's the voice that is more off-putting. It sounds like he trained his voice on an AI and fed that AI the script to read for him instead of recording his own voice for this video. If I'm being brutally honest, it comes off as lazy and careless to replicate ones own voice with AI instead of reading and recording the script. The AI took out all of the personality and the connection, it creates distance from the author, Ryan.

But don’t for get that over 100 yrs 😢prior a man from from Judea who later revealed he was our Lord and Savior did miracles and wonder and changed the world forever. I think it’s no coincidence that Aurelius starts seeing the world and life in a better way. He essentially is promoting the Christian way of life
