There’s not many people that understand these sunroofs the way you do, like you said, they keep making them cheaper out of plastic nowadays, yet, somehow, it doesn’t slow you down, you’re able to fix them, there are people that will never have a sunroof in their car, but they enjoy watching your video anyway, so that says a lot, People always like to watch things being fixed,
Thanks, Dave! I always said I wouldn't have one of these panoramic sunroofs, but after seeing how easy they are to repair, I'd definitely would have one now! 🤣
Thanks, Mike! These panoramic sunroofs are a lot easier to work on compared to the 2014 and earlier ones. Unless you have to change the cables. That may not be fun.
Wow! These modern cars have more complicated electrical stuff than Apollo 11. Watching this makes me want to get a Model A. To simpler times. Except for air conditioning of course.
I watch them every year up there. I could stand there and watch them build trucks all day. I'd love to work there. I remember when they went to these sunroofs in 2015 and said the regular small ones were no longer available. Thank you for watching!
Wow what an amazing video and all of your knowledge. Truly impressive and very detailed. Dan is going to check his F-250 to see if it is working correctly. Would they get out of sync under normal operation. Roseann & Dan
Welcome to FORD!!! I have a 1998 Ford Contour SVT. Bought the car new in October 1998. I am the one and only original owner. The car has 87,000 miles on the "clock". Having issues with the wiring harness as this was the "arm pit" with these cars. Cooling fan with not come on when air conditioner is engaged & fog lamps do not work. A guy has been "working" on this for 6 months. I realize this can be time consuming & replacing parts is quicker and more money productive. PLEASE help me save this car.
I followed this procedure yesterday that I found on another video, which has similar steps. I did the initializion because the shade was not closing all of the way. Now my sunroof will not open, and it makes a loud ratcheting noise when it goes into vent mode. Now the shade closes all the way and immediately opens😢 back up to halfway position. Pretty sure stripped a gear or something.. I have tried to initialize again and the glass will not slide back at all. Is there a way to fix this without tearing it down?
So how do i fix the fact that overtime, my shade will not close completely. I dont even open my shade or sunroof and now it sets with the shade back almost 2 inches from closed and every month its further back.

I appreciate hard to come by knowledge shared and demonstrated in simple terms. You'll be helping lots of others. Thumbs up!
Thank you! I'm glad you think so because this video has already lost me two subscribers. ☹️
Great video!
Thank you!
Boy, Tony, you get to have all the fun! Again, nice to have someone to parlay confidence to their viewers.

It's getting crazy.
Watched those being put in at the Michigan plant after the tour of the Henry Ford museum in December of 2019!

You should be proud. I'll bet this tutorial on sunroofs is discussed only on your UA-cam channel !!
Thank you very much. It does feel good to help people.

Not really. It sounds like the cables are out of time. It's gonna need to be rebuilt.
So about that video.... 😊 @@tonyscarcare5657
Tony, Wasn't there an old song that said - Rainy days and Mondays and dripping sunroofs always get me down? 😉
🤣😂🤣😂 Thank you for always watching and commenting for me. I really appreciate it.

Recalibration should take care of it unless it's another problem.
@@tonyscarcare5657 I am going to try this as soon as i get off work.
My vent roof is stuck open, I tried calibrating it but sunroo won't shut
I have this video. Check it out. You may have broken plastic stuck in the way. Click here. 👇
