Now I have a simple Colt from 2004, and it’s a cool car. It’s a car from my childhood, my grandpa was driving it, I learned how to drive with colt. An extremely durable vehicle, almost no corrosion in hard russian climate, survives our awful roads, very maneuverable and simple to repair. Also it’s much more bigger inside, than it seems. I feel myself comfortable with my 195cm height. I love colt, even call him “Malets” (little boy)

I have the Colt Ralliart Version R called "z27ag", they are like Asian/Japanese base model, it has better look and better power output, 154hp, this Version R colt is faster than Swift Sport and it is the fastest on its class, almost match up to class like Civic type R, and you can hook up plenty of storage or go out with friends or family, this is one of the best little rockets that you can get
I've got the CZT, It's basically the three door version, but with a different nose. I've got full options, such as a glass roof which slides open into the roof itself and full leather seats. It's probably the fastest of the newer Colts, as it's the lightest one of them all. I'd really recommend it to others!
@arabianking59 Bit of an exaggeration - I did mention not being a fan of the styling, aspects of the interior and price point. However I was very complimentary about the engine unit, the gearbox, other interior aspects (multi-function Ralliart add-on and seats) and driving pleasure. And that's where the Colt Ralliart pulls back points. So definitely very far from being a bad car.

Drove my 1.1 cz1 from Slough to Torquay and back last weekend , that’s 400 miles cruising at 90mph no problem, only thing I’ve noticed is alternator belt pulley squealing and making the power steering heavy but mines done 100 thousand miles so is expected
Dr23rippa you can buy a 2008 version for under a grand worth it as these things just go and go like most Japan cars so much better than the Clio I used to own

Thanks Shravan! I filmed this around 2 years ago now, so might be worth me taking another look at the Colt Ralliart.
I also have the Colt 1.3, I like it a lot but I am going to sell it next year at around 60.000 km. I can relate with almost everything you said about the car. I drive it all day long and feel great in it. I also have the 2-door version with a spoiler and aluminum rims and absolutely love how it looks.
The 3 door version is the one to get! Looks great, especially the Evo-esque grille and rear end...
The Colt Ralliart is a really underated car, the engine is fantastic and it looks really cool. The inside is a bit to much plastic and low budget like, but that is okay. Because its really fun to drive! And if you tune the engine a little bit its actually just as fast as a Golf GTI. The only real downside for me is fuel economy.
I really like the way they've integrated the gearshifter, instead of the saggy leather, it's a cool concentric compressy circle thing, which actually looks good, because they didn't stack them on top of each other like they did in the 90's.
@radev87 Thanks dude. The Ralliart does actually have a nice low grumble of a note and a sweet turbo whine when it spools up. I've driven noisier cars (like the Fiat 500)!

As others have said, the 3 door is a much better looker. Interior quality isn't brilliant, but you buy this for the engine which is plenty fun. It can be economical on longer runs too. Good review all-round, just wish you'd tried the 3 door.
Andrew Brough I have the little 1.1 litre version it gets 50mpg but still is very nippy for such a small engine , very long gear ratios nearly hitting 60 in 2nd gear lol

+Mechanical Pakii Eh. I disagree, imo the older ones look more grown up and sensible which doesnt really suit small hot hatches. I love the mini Evo-X look pulled off by the 3dr version.

I own the tiny 1.1 litre version but good lord it’s nippy for what it is 120mph on motorway and 60mph in 9.5 seconds not bad for what it is
Was looking at a swift new shape about 4 years old 5 door 136bhp 118lb/ft torque and not very easy to tune for about £6500 with 50k miles.
Have seen 6year old 1.5turbo czt mint with fsh, 5 door with 45k miles and 147bhp for £4500. For an extra £300 these are easily tuned to 200bhp with 210lb/ft torque.
Guess if its performance being the main criteria then enough said.

I do have a colt ralliart and (6:11) it doesn't have torque steer, suspension is not firm it's actually too soft for this car and the thing doesn't corner extreamly well due to high center of gravity and finally no the steering is not sharp but you do have great feedback..
The audio levels on this video really need sorting. I had to turn up the volume to hear the talking, then when the music kicks in, I had to keep turning it back down.
I'd love to have one of these, but not available in USA

The 3door and the 5door produce the same BHP.
Mitsubishi spent the most time improving reliability over plush interiors. Proven engines and decent looks.
You would need to lower it if you got one, and it would probably hide the height

+DataC0llect0r The 1.3L Cleartec is really good, I have it and I'm pretty happy about it, it has similar mpg to diesel and the motor sound is enjoyable
Great handling and very quick through the gears with decent fuel economy , re-map for a few hundred quid and you have 0-60 in under seven seconds bye bye to the likes of the swift etc.Rarity value is a + point a wolf in sheeps clothing.Sporty clios mini coopers etc they are on every street corner. Minus point yes the trim is a bit plasticy but its well put together and you have to watch out for the obstructive front windscreen pillar.The test driver must have had a loose chair,as mine is fine.

I honestly don't understand new cars. When he mentioned £14,500 I just thought of the sort used performance car you could get for that money. I say performance because that's what this is trying to be.

the same engine is in a smart brabus 4 door thing 6.9 to 60 and 3k now was 17k new madness
smart brabus engine i s tuned to 177bhp. stock colt ralliart 5 door is 147bhp. Mine 6 door ralliart colt is still pretty nippy and surprises much bigger faster cars due to not much weight. Get revs up to 4k+rpm is flies to 100mph and pulls hard
