Nice review, thank you. One thing to remember, when you use the IR light, it is a beacon to everyone else who has night vision looking for you. Thats the difference by military tube types that amplify ambient light and this which requires the use of the IR light. Just keep that in mind. But in a shtf scenario, how many others would have anything. Again great review, you gave me something to think about. Cheers.
I do wish you had shown what it looked like to the naked eye a bit more. It's hard to judge how much it's lighting up everything without seeing the baseline. If your kids were running around and playing, was it really that dark in the first place? What about the shot with the deer? Would you have been able to make them out with the naked eye? What time was it? Definitely not questioning your integrity, I'm just wondering.
Recording with a phone sensitive roughly as human eyes would be nice. And also i would like to see how it performs without the illuminator. Maybe cheap STARVIS camera from aliexpress would blow it right out of the water.
I've mentioned this on other channels, but could we get a cheaper night/thermal vision optics that still have a quality picture if they remove the recording ability? Just have a real time you see what the camera sees & that's it? Not everyone wants to bluetooth this & record that. Just my 2 cents 😀
Anthony Coffey Carson optics makes one just like that for about $80. It has an N-IR Illuminator and then uses an IR sensitive camera to display the image. It fits in my pocket and works in total darkness. The downside of it is the range and FOV, as it works much a flashlight with a camera strapped to it. In my opinion it’s better to spring for gen 3-4 NVGs or thermal, but check Carson out if you want a little gadget that can be used within 10 yards.
Well they are probably using a popular video processing chip set that offers those features. It's like asking if you can get an I-phone without the front camera, it should be cheaper but.... no.
If you can’t afford a Gen 3 night vision device…then this model of digital night vision ,and the unbranded NV400-B model, are very effective at capturing good pictures and videos of UFO’s/UAP’s. More and more people are coming forth and openly saying what they wish to use these devices for. I mostly use this device to scan my property to protect my horses and watch owls and other animal life ,however, every now and then I get a wild hair and spend an hour checking out the sky. I highly suggest getting a power bank because this model will the shoot on up to two more levels of IR power and is much better than most other digital night vision devices I’ve used. Back when I was in the Army I used night vision devices that were anywhere from $800.00 to $50,000. Some of those devices were Gen3 night vision and thermal combos and truly expensive. Those devices were pretty cool ,but all military scopes for rifles aside, I’d choose this device over any of those other devices to protect my property any day/night. Good luck. 🛸👍🏻🍻😁 Additional note: It’s quite interesting how others might respond to you as if your thinking is incorrect when the Pentagon itself is crapping gold bricks right now trying to determine what all these ultra-fast objects are in the sky that none of our military jets ,NAVAL, can catch up with. How interesting…how interesting…….
I might not have found the Pinty Night version but I found the unbranded version from China that is just absolutely awesome. For those of you that was asking about batteries on this, it uses 8 AA Lithium or Alkaline batteries which doesn't come with set. no info on battery life was given.
I'm a LEO. Every day I bring with me an ITT Pinnacle pvs-14 and Adams Industries sentinel binoculars. Even though I have about 10k worth of mil spec NV, I'm tempted to pick one of these up. I can see uses for it recreationally and hunting and if it proves to be reliable enough, I could easily see using that recording feature for evidence or to record my coyote/hog kills. The fact that it has a decent IR illuminator built in is a huge selling point as it solves a lot of the issues with low end digital NV. My only real reservation is what that battery life is going to be like.
You can buy a 200 or $300 attachment to your iPhone that would give you pretty good decent quality thermal night vision and heat signature it's no smaller than a pack of batteries you just attach it to your iPhone and Android of course I do good to go brother so get rid of shell out off $200
Umi imU I believe that they are interdimensional and yet there is the physical aspect to the creature. There are numerous videos of Sasquatch being captured on thermal camera without them apparently knowing.
MrDuffy81 Not saying thermals aren't a good research tool for scouting, but if you're on any type of budget, there's better equipment to spend money on.
W.W. I just went out with the gentleman today who has seen Bigfoot on his Fleer camera in Illinois. I may end up visiting him and doing an overnight in an attempt to see one at night. I am a little apprehensive but I think if I had a Fleer camera of my own I would be going out a lot at night. I know numerous areas where they live. You can find them closer to civilization than one might think.
If you're actually comparing models and about to pull the trigger on this, the whole video is appreciated. It's not entirely there just to annoy and waste your time, guys
Great video, cool item. I don't normally associate "Pinty" with making their own products, but just as one of a few dozen Chinese vendors on Amazon selling products produced at various generic factories. It is interesting that they have a "high-end" item like this in addition to their budget scopes, red dots, etc.
I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head but my hunting buddy bought this NV scope for like 300$ off a Black Friday sale at our local gun store. It worked pretty good overall, it is digital but the resolution was not to bad. ATN or something...I'll ask him tomorrow at work but yeah he used it on his 6.5 for coyote hunting
@@seananon4893 yeah, it was a sightmark. It worked pretty good and the resolution was not to shabby. He picked it up for 300 at a Black Friday sale at a local gun store
I have some 3rd gen automated night vision optics. I am a sky watcher. Not sure about these but with mine I can see UFO's that are not visible with the human eye. With the optics I generally spot a UFO within 10 min, however, I live at 8000 feet which helps. One thing I do not have is the built in video. I have to use a mount that allows me to connect manually a camera to the optics. This is no way close to having the built in video. That is an awesome feature. The other thing is my optics sell for over 4K new. Considering selling mine and getting these. Be nice if I could try them out.
David Giles Do you mean “autogated”? If you post videos of the UFO’s someone may be able to help you identify them. Most “UFOs” you’ll see with night vision can be easily identified. Things like satellites, aircraft, lanterns, flocks of birds and the ISS are all commonly mistaken as something of extraterrestrial origin. I have been using 3rd gen night vision for star gazing for years and have not seen anything I can’t explain.
Think it also depends on the area you're in. California, Nevada or Alice Springs(Pine Gap) always have a lot of secret hardware flying around. And the latest stuff seems to be invisible to the naked eye. You also make the common error of translating UFO to ET which is wrong. If the observer can't ID what he sees flying it is at that point a UFO for that person. On the other hand you are right that most of the UFO's can be IDed after some research. The ones that can't be are the interesting ones. And they have shown up around the world. Like above Brussels and the rest of Belgium around '89 - '91, with 10000s of witnesses, radar detection and F-16 interceptor pilot observation. The government and military confirmed the events, declassified pilots debriefings and the media covered it. Probably because ignoring it would have been even stranger with 300 feet black triangles hovering 150 feet above the outskirts of Brussels, and then when the F-16s close in ,fly of at a speed you wouldn't have thought to be possible. Or the 2004 "Tictac" UFO observed by F-18 pilots and navy radar operators. The thing that stands out is the instant acceleration from 0 to 10-20.000 km/h without sound or sonic boom.
Reeferman420NL Just to be clear I didn’t translate UFO to ET. I think my comment was clear. You may have just misread/misunderstood it. Many people do think of the terms “ufo” and “extraterrestrial” as one and the same. Not me. I was simply saying that most UFOs are not of ET origin and can quite easily be explained with modern science. The few which can’t are likely experimental and/or highly classified projects. As for some of them being ET’s, I’ll wait for some better evidence before making up my mind on that. So I think we are on the same or a similar page here. You also brought up some good points. There are some fascinating claims and some compelling evidence out there but nothing solid enough for me yet.
Hey may I know .. what's the difference between military / other personal security night vision vs for public night vision .... Can public night be used by police or military????🤔🤔🤔
The police or military would never use consumer (public) night vision because it's garbage and their lives may depend on it. There's many ( at least 6-10 ) reasons they wouldn't use this one on this video.
So now they need to invent a green/red dot sight that detects when someone is pointing a night vision device with an iR illuminator at you and gives you a green/red dot on the iR source so you can take them out before they take you out. As soon as the iR source disappears , alert stops and the green/red dot sight goes back to its previously zeroed point of impact.

using your amazon link I used the code 704 tactical it it is still priced at $287.79 plus 22.17 for tax!!! WTH!! If i can get for $270 flat I'd buy right now. Help!
When you make these nv goggle videos would you point the camera towards the front of d device to see if or how much of the illumination the opposite side can see.
Shame there is no capabilities without using the ir light, any ideas for budget NV that can function soley with ambient light (moonlight starlight clear skies etc.)?
Hate to be Picky about the Pinty but this is a monocular. The ocular part of this device is a single lens, therefore monocular. Yea, you're looking at the single LCD screen with both eyes which is still just mono vision. That being said this still looks like a good night vision device. You can't it to be made out of aircraft grade aluminium for a price point of less than $300. Liked the video, keep broadcasting!!
ShanLiB because 99.9% of all the people watching this no jack squat about passive night vision. You can tell they know literally zilch because they are the one saying how great the picture quality is. Honestly the picture quality is shit, especially when you consider he is running the IR illuminator the entire freaking time. From personal experience in the military and the fact I own a AN/PVS 14 that image is crap. The 14 has 3 to 4 time the image clarity 3 to 5 times the range and that’s without the IR on. Frankly, it a toy built to sucker people out of their money.
Always guys like you harp on the better NVDs without mentioning that your 5X better NVD costs 5X more than this does. Not everyone can drop $1500 on NVDs.
Paul D worthwhile and quality gear will ALWAYS cost more. Not everyone can, at the drop of a hat, plop down 1500 to 2200 for the real deal. That is true, but everyone can save up and in less than a year afford it. If it takes a person years and years to save up that little amount then they need to stop buy gear altogether and un fuck their finances. They need to grow up, put their house in order, maybe spend some time listening to Dave Ramsey or whatever they think will help. If they are paycheck to paycheck, hand to mouth they need to figure out what they are doing wrong and take steps to fix it.
@@edwo6648 I agree, good gear cost. Can't stop people from spending more than they can afford, it's almost like gambling. I'm always looking for a deal, so "Budget Night Vision Binoculars" caught my attention. I'm still looking for that deal.
I use to work at Dulce base. They have contact lenses you can just put in your eyes to see in the dark. Best night vision around. I've tested them. There awsome. But you cant get them. Not even the Military can get them.
An EMP burst would be what concerns me in having them being digital. Also any Electronic Attack capabilities or Electronic search. That is speaking on End World times.
I have a pair of night vision goggles. I attach a flashlight to my regular Goggles and there you have it :o) I know, I know I am a genius :o) Seriously Nice review. Thanks.
That is pretty impressive for what it is. Wish someone could design something that was more robust and still economical for working people. Seeing all those hot shit (plaid/dinosaur) Tubies running around with a never-ending supply of expensive spec-op gear (like that's normal) is kinda defeating. I always make sure I like their "basics of NV" videos in case I ever hit the on the lotto. Smh..
So for those unfamiliar with passive night vision, if you are buying these for your kid as a toy they will be fine and give them a couple weeks of fun. If your buying them for commercial, military, tactical or prepping they are cheap pieces of shit, save your money for the real deal. The are at best comparable to gen 1 night vision, current gen 3 has 3 to 4 time the clarity and 4 to 5 time the range and that’s without an IR flood light like that POS is running. Takes 8 AA compared to an AN/PVS 14’s single AA. Don’t be a cheap ass, save up for the real deal. The Night Vision Company TNVC has military AN/PVS 14’s & 7’s gen3 for under 2500. It’s worth the wait.
These devices sell at German discounters at around 90 Euro. Qualität is as you are showing - amasingly good. However, one problem is that you are watching the image with two eyes and you are loosing your night vision due to the bright screen. Thus you can not use it for night hunting of wild boar which is fully leagal in Germany.
Yeah, most people are starting to realize that having 15 different ways of starting a fire is not going to be enough. These things would certainly give away your position to anyone with that type of equipment. In other words, precisely the sort of person you would not want to attract. You know, someone creeping around out there in the dark, like you.
I have the exact same model ,without a brand name, and it’s as good as you say. It’s built like a freaking tank and I love it!⚡️🌟👍🏻🍻🌟⚡️

Not budget! Mid-range but good function. Thanks for the review.
80 dollars for NODs is budget.
Thanks for doing this video. I'd like to try that night vision.
When you make these nv goggle videos would you point the camera towards the front of d device to see if or how much of the illumination the opposite side can see.
I'm impressed. I might get one.
I need the built in record feature along with the sd memory chip.
Nice! Seems like a good deal.
Thanks. I've got some hogs on our property that really hope I don't get some of these! 😀
I wonder why others haven't mentioned this. It was my first thought when seeing the IR source and single objective.
I'm still looking for that deal.
it would be cool to have a device that did the green, digital, and thermal
My dad just bought 12 dollar military grade nightvision binoculars. Waiting to see if their gi joe size.
Hi does this device have any type of safety cut out for headlights / torches Thanks to stop blindness
Does it have a rechargeable battery?
How about measuring the light.
How long does the battery last, what kind of batteries?
Hi excellent video, now my current system will allow me to use an external power source via the USB. Will this do that also? Thanks.
EXCELLENT REVIEW! Well done!!
When you are hunting girls in the dark they will spot you, damn IR illuminator! You know, today people are glued to their phones, taking selfies.
thanks for making this video
7x magnification. Is it like in 7x50 binoculars magnification field of view?
"All the way out to infinity" Lmao that's great
Funny that the amazon listing suggests you also buy a GREEN spotlight, which won't work with these infraRED binoculars.
not good for CQB but might be good for lookin for UFOs
Im dying to see what the stars look like on the recording
You, me and everyone else😳
I think the only problem is you can't see too close, so it's from 3m and up.
Good detailed review.
Thanks
Hey... is there any sub 300$ ir binoculars with 1x zoom or ever better... a wide lense?
Great help
how do you get to the setup menu. Text in manual is too small to read.
be nice if you showed how it looked in the woods pitch black with just the illuminator on ;o
The design reminds of the binos used by Luke on the first star wars.
what happened to the bottle test???
I'm a Carolina boy myself, did you use it during hurricane Florence? I know I could have.
Bigfoot hunters will go crazy over these!
bazzarr ..... I am a researcher and seeking two similar to this. Key thing is to have great equipment. I am far from a hunter.
Nice.
More prism scopes any with quick release?
I use to work at Dulce base.
They have contact lenses you can just put in your eyes to see in the dark. Best night vision around. I've tested them. There awsome. But you cant get them. Not even the Military can get them.
@@guitarman_3693 Old comment but I agree. Would have been taken down if it were true.
Interesting!
Who knows if you used that one or better one like gen 3 because i purchased Atn binos same quality as that one but they are garbage
Nice but nowhere near my 3rd gen pinnacle autogated nepvs 14.
An EMP burst would be what concerns me in having them being digital. Also any Electronic Attack capabilities or Electronic search. That is speaking on End World times.
Can you try shooting at the night sky? I'm looking for something that can also do that?
Can u pls share the users manual, for this binoculars.
I have a pair of night vision goggles. I attach a flashlight to my regular Goggles and there you have it :o) I know, I know I am a genius :o)
Seriously Nice review. Thanks.
Any way to use this with a scope or red dot? Would love an option to mount this with a quick detach on an AR.
To jim habash
Go with german products.
Smh..
Can the IR illuminator be picked up by IR sensitive equipment?
If you're asking if someone else with night vision can see you, then yes. It's very much an active system.
Should review some old cheap Soviet night vision
We need a quality "budget" version of the PS31's.
What is the battery life like with these? The image is impressive, I must say.
How is it with just star light?
Got a new link for us??
Currently unavailable
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.
I used to buy budget. But for me they allways crapped out on me. They just never lasted. I now buy quality equipment.
These devices sell at German discounters at around 90 Euro. Qualität is as you are showing - amasingly good. However, one problem is that you are watching the image with two eyes and you are loosing your night vision due to the bright screen. Thus you can not use it for night hunting of wild boar which is fully leagal in Germany.
thats what i feared. thanks, Need to search for a monocular i believe
Is it USB rechargeable
This has got to be a paid review! The night owl 120R is better... and, a hell of a lot less expensive!
Yeah, most people are starting to realize that having 15 different ways of starting a fire is not going to be enough. These things would certainly give away your position to anyone with that type of equipment. In other words, precisely the sort of person you would not want to attract. You know, someone creeping around out there in the dark, like you.
