I use a piece of pipe that fits over the crank holding tool. Just rest the other end on the ground. Makes life a little bit easier.
Not sure if I told you previously, the few Kalahari owners I know have confirmed that their's and my 300Tdi engines are from Argentina. It's written on the block.

just did 2 timing belts on my 300 tdis easy peezy lol and changed a mechanical pump from an electronic one,genuine crank seal from paddocks cost me about 4 quid i bought two so not bad
Oh and don't tighten the viscous fan, just spin it on.
That crank bolt seemed really tight. I may have lost my bottle and just gone with the 300tdi torque.
That meter length knuckle bar is making me jealous. I think I will have to pick one of those up.
