    Plans were drawn up in 2007 to improve the reliability of the BREL and ABB units. (Class 465/0 & /1's) By the installation of the new traction equipment. The new package was developed by Hitachi Rail. It was retrofitted all across 97 Class 465 /0 & /1 trains over the course of 2009/2010. The supplier/manufacturer of the original traction equipment, worked as a consulants to assist in the retro-fitting the new equipment.

    I've heard these before while waiting for a Thameslink 700, and yet this is what I'm reminded of. This is why I didn't recognise it at first, I expected the Metro-Cammell motors.

    I mispronunced the station station name as Hitler Green instead of Hither Green, It can be also mispronounced as Hit Her Green.

    Sounds like the Osaka Metro 20 Series with Hitachi IGBT, epic! Idk why people hate it cause then they will hate the Osaka Metro 20 series too?

    Each unit has different motor sounds? Interesting.

      The 465/0 and 1s I believe have the first motor sounds which are identical to the class 395 hitachi motors but the 465/2 and 9s and the class 466 have the second motor sounds (metro-cammell)

    Southeastern class 465 has the sound like the 3 car class 323s are used in the Midlands and northwest England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. They are electric ⚡️ multiple units. 🙂

      The sound on the class 323 is similar but different to that on the 465 with its old 1990 motors. On the 323, the train begins "gearing up" the moment it starts moving, however, on the 465, it gains a bit of speed first (maybe 5mph?) before it starts to "gear up"

    What’s the difference between the class 465 and 466

    • @InterRegios
      @InterRegios  3 роки тому +3

      Traction motors equipment, plus the number of carriages, being 2 for the class 466, and 4 for the 465s.
      Cheers.
