Just in case you didn't know, the owner of this channel, mosogotam, whose real name is John Perrone, sadly passed away April 5, 2020 from COVID-19. He was an absolute genius for this and all the other wonderful tracks he created. May he rest in peace.

A bit of trivia: Come See About Me was a number one song for the Supremes TWICE! It went to number one in early Dec. 1964. As it gradually decended, the Supremes made their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show singing this song. After that appearance, the song regained momentum and returned to the number one slot! The first time around it knocked the Beatles out of the number one spot; the second time, the Rolling Stones!

I grew up in a small Midwest town of 3 thousand people. My dad was the only paid firemen of the volunteer fire department. He had an old beige Philco tube AM radio he would have on in the fire station... I was seven or eight, and we lived in that old two room fire station. It was cold in the winter, and hot in the summer...but it was the best years of my life. I was seven or eight when this was on the radio waves. Thank You Diana and the Supremes to let me relive those best of days!!! I'm a old white man who wishes music like this would come back. The golden era of African-American music. Just the best.

I am 58 and I am with you. So much music today is crap. No talent, crass lyrics, auto-tuned garbage. It took real talent to chart back then. I am glad I grew up in a family that listened to a wide range of music from as far back as the 40's all the way to the 70's. I feel like I missed a more innocent time that is reflected by the music. I know that all the assassinations, racial strife and Vietnam were bad, but it seemed that our country still had hope.

More IN DEPTH study needs to be done on The Supremes and how they impacted the music industry and pop culture as a whole! Everytime you turn around there's something about The Beatles.. The Supremes deserved just as much attention and respect! 12 NUMBER ONE SONGS ON THE BILLBOARD HOT 100 is no easy feat! NO MUSICAL/VOCAL GROUP to this very day in December 2020 has been able to achieve that!

@Roshanda Mills Hi! I was a Freshman at Rutgers, and my Sophomore Roomate would round up and fill up his new Pontiac with classmates, roll to a Pizza Parlor, with the Supreme's blasting away, and come back and keep me away play Hearts till 3 AM. Of course, I was a pre med student, had 8 o'clock classes, and he had all his classes arranged so he didn't have to get up till noon. OH the sleep depravation! But it stood me in good stead going thru OCS at Pensacola NAS, class of 1369. Oh the age of Classic Rock, being young then, except for the devastating war, it was the greatest time to be there then, and then, it was all gone. Poof!

There is nothing like the sound of the sixties. Unfortunately there will never be that feeling and era again. :-( I listened to motown as a kid, in that era. Thank You Supremes for this beautiful song, as a kid who listened to it on the AM radio.

That happened when Holland-Dozier-Holland wrote songs for The Supremes. Before that they were called "The No-Hit Supremes". They had a couple of minor songs, one with Flo Ballard singing lead, called "Buttered Popcorn " I believe, in 1962 or early 1963

After seeing your post I was a little upset and as there isn't anything on the youtube chanel I couldn't help but do some research on the creator of these ext. versions. I did find the info below on the WOMR site. It really struck me when I realized he passed from the Corona Virus only a month ago. Think of the years more of ext. versions we could have had a chance to listen to and enjoy, if only...RIP
      "DJ Midnight Johnny/John Perrone
WOMR DJ John Perrone passed away as a result of the coronavirus on Sunday April 5 at Cape Cod Hospital. He had been suffering from symptoms for more than two weeks and tested positive for the virus on March 27. John was the host of Night Flight on Tuesday nights from 9 to midnight and last hosted his show on March 17. The WOMR studios have been closed to volunteers and the general public since Thursday March 19. In addition to his work on these airwaves, John shared his extended mixes of Motown and other songs on his UA-cam channel that has more than 78 thousand subscribers and over 66 million views. You can find them under the user name Mosogotam. He also used his connections in the music industry to get interviews with many of the people who made the music. Some of those interviews are available in an archive on the WOMR website. Originally from Worcester, John became a nurse while in the Navy. He moved to Provincetown and got involved at WOMR about 20 years ago. Many people knew John from his work as a nurse at Seashore Point and, after his retirement from nursing, from his work behind the counter at Farland Provisions. We share our grief with John’s cousin Paula and the entire community radio family."

You said it King Bee. Today's generation should give an honest, unbiased listed to the music of the past, from the 50's Doo-Wop thru the early 90's. In my opinion, after Luther, Barry, Isaac, and others passed on, most R&B went downhill, now all they listen to is Rap.
