She didn’t even say oh yeah shout out to them she just preceded with continuing talking. 3) Then Jay put the attention back on himself by hugging a fan..

for people saying "how was that awkward?" u have to understand what was going on behind the scenes. Jay hated Cam. Cam and Dame are really good friends, and Dame was trying to make Cam a superstar and exec at Rocafella. Jay wasn't having it. Cam wanted to do more songs with Jay, and Jay wouldn't record (except for the classic Welcome to NYC). It's a shame too bc that song was fire and I feel they could have made some more dope records. In this interview you can see that it is awkward cus Cam came there to promote his album and Jay showed up to steal the spotlight. You can tell by Cam's body language he's kinda like gtfoh lol. Jay for whatever reason did not want Cam to succeed, it was probably due to the rising tension between him and Dame.
dc towna in hindsight it’s fairly obvious when you revisit the music, Cam has superstar appeal and everyone on the label outside of Jay gravitated toward his charisma. Jay was resentful of that and saw cam as a threat, and was cunning enough to find ways that would undercut Cam from reaching his full potential.
