@@daminharris3879 There is no debate my man. I totally agree. Nas has a deep rooted love for hip hop…..that’s why he has always been my goat

Cam’ron loved Nas even during the beef it hurt him to come at Nas but he had to still be Killa

Nas is his favorite rapper. He said he was so disappointed when Nas went at him and Dipset.
@@TheLieKillaJryeah they all loved Nas during that time. They hated going at him but felt that had to. Freeway expressed the same sentiment regarding that time and his love for Nas.

@@ArtisanWindchimes Exactly lol. I think Cam and Jay love Hip Hop as well. It's literally been the foundation of their success in life. They just happen to ALSO love to get money! There are LEVELS to love and I think that's what Cam'ron is getting at.
Thats not what he said 😂 he said “ima hustler not a rapper is just rap is my hustle “
What’s funny is your likes took your words as gospel 😅
@@onyxonyx4744take Csm out of this we know he loves hip hop. But the fake goat showed no love to hip hop 50. Cam performed at Nas event. So he definitely loves it. Jay a sellout who used hip hop. He not above the culture. He a sellout who will do anything for master if he gets to go in the house.
"Im from where nicky barnes got rich as fck, mitch and a hit the kitchen they were cooking up,rob base, mase, doug e fresh switched it up,i do both who am i to fck tradition up"
I think Jay GREW to love Hip Hop. Jay went on tour with BDK! He's been rapping since he was a teenager. Of course he loves it. He just moves on his own terms and shows his love in his own way. All I see is Jay doing things for Hip Hop and for people in it. He's just a natural born hustler that ALSO loves getting to the money. BOTH can be true. Cam'ron of all people should be able to understand this.
you are clearly getting emotional.
the subject of this short video by Cam was'nt about what Cam should understand, the subject was who loved hip-hop for the sake of loving it.
a comparison was made, premises were given and a conclusion drawn yet here you are crying that Cam did'nt say your favorite rapper loved hiphop more.
Cam been known Jay since the late 80s/early 90s so he is more than qualified to speak on the man. He did not insult him but merely stated the facts, which the whole entire world knows anyway, aside Jay fans. Even Jay himself has said it on several occasions, hip-hop was a means to an end for him yet here we are with fanboys trying to help launder dude's image into what he is'nt.
Jay always been a hustler, he came into rap seeking to better his life and prosper himself. So when it was the Nas flow in the 90s that was popping, he hopped on that. When another flow was popping, he switched it up and rolled with all the popping artistes at any given time. There was never any shame in this, to me it just showed the man was a go getter, he was never the go to guy for a rapper that loved the game for the game itself. And make no mistake sir, they all got rich off of rap, they just decided to fall back on what they love doing best, for Nas its just hiphop for Jay its the ventures that come first.
To each his own and it is not a slight at either man.
@@jkbzzthank you this is facts bc a lot of them taking it outta content

Jay sold Cam his first brick
If they do, they are ignorant. Cam was totally respectful to Jay. Jay brought Cam out to perform a few years ago. I believe he was just giving his honest respectful view of knowing Jay
Definetly not a shot but if he was as cool with jay as he is with nas then I dont think we even hear this commentary
I don’t take it as that.
Jay said himself he’s a hustler.
Rap was his hustle.
He just happened to be good at it.
people dont like the truth they so uset to lies and narrative
Jay takes Hip Hop to places it’s never been and Nas reminds us of our rich culture. I appreciate them both.
Jay didnt take hip-hop nowhere
The culture needs them both doing exactly what they’re doing. Combined they’re covering the Foundation and the Future. It’s beautiful to witness.

Excellent breakdown Cam. The Money and the Message. Jay and Nas. Both needed to push the culture forward. Nas 70-30; the art-commerce; Jay 30-70 art-commerce. Depending on what you resonate with, lies the GOAT. I resonate more with the art, message of Hip Hop so Nas will always be the GOAT. Kendrick and JCole in that lane; Drake in the Jay lane
Everything they both have done has been 'artistic' in its own way. Black people just want rappers to be their 'saviors' so they over inflate 'conscious' subject matter and it makes them think that rappers from that perspective are 'better'. Jay has BRILLIANTLY rapped about going from being a hustler to the boardroom. Nas has BRILLIANTLY rapped from conscious perspective on the black community. Just appreciate them both for their contributions.

Cam I really love, admire and respect your growth, maturity and your ability over the years to learn, grow and elevate your career

Cam spoke facts....nas just put together a huge hip hop 50 event.. he performed and had several artists coem through and wasnt looking for a payday.. he dropped 6 albums all for the love of hip hop and his fans.. he dont gaf about sales or streams he cares about the art (and hes still rich) Always stayed true to himself.. Jay is a great rapper but hes always about the money, flashiness and accolades.
Very fair analysis by Cam...
Cam bodied that ! That was all facts!
There was nothing 'factual' about it. It was Cam's opinion. There no way you can say Jay doesn't 'love' Hip Hop if you've been paying attention to what he's done in front and behind the scenes.
@@onyxonyx4744 I can say it’s factual cause this has been said about Jay for many years now. From Dame to 50 Cent to Cam. This is something that has been said about Jay Z and people need to stop Capping for him. Jay is a hustler 💪🏽. Always been.. he's hustled his way to the top of the rap game with the most #1albums sold n most grammies a rap artist has won.. He's a billionair with all types of business ventures like he said he would since day 1. Nothing more inspiring in hip hop than that in my opinion. He'sThe Blueprint on how to move in rooms full of vultires n still get the job done. NAS is a hip hop poet. A student. A hip hop prophet, who's story telling ability is 2nd to none. (Other than Pac n Big maybe). But Nas has always put hip hop 1st. 2 legends that go about it 2 different ways. But Both represent the culture heavy

that’s probably the most respectful thing Cam has ever said. he honestly couldn’t have said it more eloquently.
Dude, he is bringing hip hop to the masses. Breaking down walls for hip hop to win. How is that not love for the genre? Y'all are weird when you comment on someone you don't like as much as someone else. Just bcuz he didn't perform at hip hop 50, doesn't make dude love hip hop less than anybody else.
You don’t get it bra… Nas broke down those walls globally. The highest selling rap album ever is from an Indian dude who sold 30 million copies in India. His name is Divine. Nas really love this hip hop ish 🔥
Great commentary no wonder why your show is winning you were right on point with everything you said.

Jay z been told yall this. Multiple songs. From 1995 to 2022 😂😂
Jay is business first, rap secondary. Nas is rap first, business secondary.
Well said indeed💯
I think Jayz loves hip hop just as much as a nas or a buster rhymes. Jayz shows his love in a different way. Hip hop artist from way back ain’t get paid as much as they deserved they got paid more with respect than with a check. I’m shock can look at it that way because he knows. Look at mase. Jayz is showing hip hop love in the sense of changing the quality of life for hip hop artist he’s kicking down doors that were nvr opened for hip hop artists and it’s all for the love of hip hop.“hov did that so hopefully you won’t have to go thru that”
Cam super cautious with his words lol

Great Word 🔥🔥🔥🖖🏾
As a super Hov fan I can appreciate Cam for this!!!!!!!!!!
Cam has an arcane perspicacity on this subject simply due to the fact that he himself doesnt LOVE hiphop as much as someone like Nas, as well. Both Cam & Hov just really really like hiphop. Cam is relating to Hov even if it appears as if he isn't championing him.
Nas is the embodiment of true love and passion of the art form. No doubt about it. However, if you've paid attention to the moves Jay has made for Hip Hop in front and behind the scenes, there is NO WAY that you should be saying that man doesn't 'love' it. He loves and appreciates Hip Hop in his own way. He gets penalized for being a 'hustler' and it's shortsighted and corny to me.
@@onyxonyx4744 You're right. I think what constitutes as 'Love' is lost. Cam is using Love as "Ill die for this shit." Like how Mitch in Paid in Full, said 'he love the game.' Cam and Hov dont Love hiphop the way Mitch love the game. Nas love hiphop, how Mitch loved what he did.
I believe Hov love hiphop the way A did. Its strong but its not the strongest thing in the world to him. Achieving his ultimate destiny is. Whatever that is.
