Can’t believe it took this long for the UA-cam algorithm to bring you to my feed! For 2 or 3 days now I’ve been watching you teach some of the greatest acoustic songs (imo) of all time and killing it … being a very (very very very )long term beginner I need to finish a song g start to finish to move on .these tutorials make that more of an achievable goal ,I just need to try and pick one to stick to 😂….so I’m a new subscriber here for sure ..thank you for these ,and for going into the detail you do .
Rick here, up in Canada. In 1980 Freddie Mercury flew onto the stage like Peter Pan for an incredibly memorable experience as the band rose onto the stage. It was Super Bowl weekend in Detroit. You are terrific. I teach in Canada and love watching your style. Your students are lucky.
Not to take away from your guitar playing skill but, this lesson is also great because you look so great doing it. Thanks for taking the time to help all of us beginners out here!
Great lesson and one of my favorite Zeppelin songs and also love the late great Chris Cornell live version. I play this for my wife on my guitar and sing and she loves it and the lyrics make this song. My greatest concert experience was when I lived in LA many years ago and my coworker happened to be Joe Walsh’s cousin (lucky me) and we watched them perform live from a backstage free pass many times at their concerts in S California and and we always drank a few beers with the band afterwards backstage. Great memories for sure.
Zeppelin is my favourite band of all time. I wanted this song at my wedding but my wife isn’t a fan. I snuck in the Chris Cornell version as our first dance song. My favourite song ever. Good times!!
I really appreciate your sharing these rare pieces with chords that make sense, I picked up some hard cover folders to organize songs, scales, chords and built a small easel that can set anywhere making the song pages turn easily thank you Angela again I've been up over 16 hrs practicing and making it easier to practice, I can't imagine how many songs you can play, fore me it will be a treasure.
SC, USA.....ohh yeah baby one of my Fav tunes....I first attempted this Mmmm in the mid 90s.....& was just mesmerized by that D chord & those pinky hammer-on & pull-offs....you just gotta do it.....I soon started improvising the first & third fingers with hammers-ons & pull-offs,....cuz like you stated.....if you listen....youll hear Page doing it,....& baby I have listened to this tune....for as long as y'all been alive......Great memories, lotta of emotion from this song for me.....Thanks gal....your beautiful.
Little drops of rain whisper of the pain. This song was current when I was your age and I still love it. Your lesson brought me so much joy as you always do. Thank you for doing such a great classic song. Jimmy Page is one of my guitar idols too. Maybe you could sneak in a Ritchie Blackmore tune sometime too. I watch your live Saturday lessons as well and really enjoy and learn from them. Keep them coming Angela
One of my first "self taught " songs. I really needed this lesson. You are such a wonderful instructor and I am very glad to have found you. " Thank You " 😊
I liked the video, and it went from 499 to 500 likes! I'm the winner!!! I felt like I gave back, after learning this song from you Angela! Thank you! I got a bonus, because I got to be number 500 in the Daytona Patrilli/Fishman event! lol I've learned several songs from you, Angie. Please keep them coming! Again, "Thank you"!
Greetings from Germany and many thanks to you Angela. You are such a wonderful teacher. And yes this is one of my favorite songs by Led Zep. I saw them 1980 in Bremen. What an experience and a dream come true. Thanks again for your patient way to teach this very, very special song. As soon as I am able to play it, I will dedicate your version to my wife if you don't mind. Hope to learn so much more from you in future.
Wow! Just wow! The ultimate 'refresher course' so far; as I said in comments from another Riff Rundown, this is a 'comeback' thing following orthopedic surgery. None of my guitar teachers (two went on to be major label recording artists) between 1979 & 1998 even mentioned 'pivot points' before. I'm in northeast Ohio. Funniest concert experience? Probably jamming on an open mic night doing lead vocals on a Don't Stop Believin cover and this woman in her 60s sets down the TWO drinks she's holding on the nearest table and gives us a quick boob flash, top up to shoulders, at the end. Obviously it was the amount and rate of alcohol intake more than anything related to the quality of my amateur attempt at a tribute to Steve Perry's vocals and stage presence. That poor woman was just plain hammered! I sang the ending with a final "Don't Stop!" inspired by the Escape tour live version.
Hey Angela I really am not a guitar pick type of guy since I play it with my fingers not with a puck but I’m will definitely use a pick for this song because it’s shinier and brighter. Great option!
Saw them do this live 4 times in one week in 75' at earls court London...(Zep overload)...caught it again at Knebworth 4 years later..and few times with plant & Page too...great track.
Angie, Anngiee. Just wanted to tell you a just got my dream Taylor 214ce guitar. I'm a Big Led Zep fan from back in my teenager days. Love this song and live your lessons! 👍😘 Oh yea .. almost forgot..... Thank You!
St Pete Beach, FL Funniest concert experience was my very first concert when we lived in Philly: KISS ALIVE 2. I was in 6th grade & my dad took me. He was dressed in his Navy whites (he was a Naval officer and we went straight from him getting off work…you’ll understand in a minute why I added this detail). So obviously, we were the epitome of ‘cool’. 😮 🤪 He told me before it began that I could NOT go to the restroom without him escorting me. BUT as the concert progressed, my conservative dad was REALLY getting into it. I told him I had to use the restroom; and he told me to go ahead & go without him. 😂 And when I came back, he tells, “ Awww. You missed the best part: Gene Simmons with blood oozing out of his mouth!” 🤣🤣🤣. So good!!
Man, I regret missing this one live... Great lesson, Angela! I would have loved to have commented on my funny concert story where I ended up partying with Pat Travers and Robin Trower, in a San Antonio Rock bar, on my B-day back in '89 with a couple buddies of mine. I'll save it for another time... :)
One of my favorite things you do is you name the notes. "You're going to hit that F#, 2nd fret, E string" is so helpful, so often, all that the other teachers say is "2nd fret, 1st string". It's really going to help with learning the fretboard. o7
This is why I play the acoustic guitar. This hauntingly beautiful song touches the soul like few others can. Jimmy Page is a modern day Beethoven. I enjoy your instruction. Thank you. :-)
Absolutely phenomenal. Nice concise & slow enough to follow. Angela if you’re taking suggestions I’d love to see an electric lesson for Jeff B People Get Ready. Again many 🙏! I’m in my 60’s & it’s great to be able to pick up a guitar and play some of these songs I’ve listened to so many times & loved so much over the years ✌️
Back stage at a Rock Festival in UK. Spent an age talking to a really interesting guy about coffee! (Only at a festival). 2 hours later saw the same guy on stage - Lars Ulrich - Metallica! I blame the beer!
Angela, thank you so much for making these awesome videos and making them available to us. Quick question: Which of these (so far) 19 vids is, in your opinion, the easiest to learn? I mostly play fingerstyle and have been practicing an hour or two every day for 13 months if that helps. If you were me, which would you tackle first? Thanks again
In the early 70’s I went to concert in New Orleans, where I am originally from to see Led Zeppelin. After a few hours I went to the restroom, there was a guy leaning on a hallway wall, I looked into his eyes and I was thinking he was tripping. The next day I went to a auto dealership, the salesman walk up to me, and as I looked into his eyes, I said , you were at that concert last night. And he said yes and I am still messed up !! It was the same guy, from the night of the concert, 😂.
I ended up walking into the wings at a John Prine and Steve Goodman concert at Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin from under the stage by accident; then I had to go back and get my glasses which so had left there by accident and no ene figured out what I was doing.
I keep time traveling from past to resent lesons ill tell you of all the instructors your #1 most complet... sometimes slow for me ( basic notes) but I get its for all ... Meegwetch/ Tiawenhk Merci Thank you 💜
Your comments were turned off on " Can't gind my way home", but Steve Winwood plays iy differeny or maybe he has adapted it from the original. I met him and Eric clapton when I was in MN at McNally Smith College of Music and learned to play it another way he plays it now
Scranton,Penna.....I have been playing this wrong by ham G string in intro where you go back in the D form. My vocal hides my average ability on guitar..lol....Wish I seen this sooner, your a great player.. Even your strum is dead on.. Will upgrade my Rendition for certain..
Was waiting for your "Live" Rendition with your vocal....Did you end up posting the Acoustic solo? I use a basic one with the vocal outro from tribute tour rendition.."Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah, Bah Bah I wanna Thank -----you!!!.. Do you do vocals as well? Great Lesson,Thank you...
Awaiting the climax of you're Rain Song as well..That was nice. I can sing anything (Literally) but my guitar work held me back my whole life on some material. I'd love to play entire thing. This I do but could use tightening up the work.
Please kindly give a lesson on your version of Tennessee Whiskey you so beautifully played on your black bodied HSS strat with rosewood fretboard. Please, please, please.
i was AT A CONCERT AT THE MADISON SPANISH TROUBADOR FROM ARGENTINA FROM THE 70'S I WAS 8 THOUGH I SAW A GIRL RUN ON THE STAGE TO CLUTCH HIS LEG A STAGE HAND CLUTCHED HER LIKE A MAGICIAN AND SHE DISAPPEARED
You...are...so...cool...m'kay. Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you
But after a couple of days of practice, I am fucking playing like Jimmy Page!!!! I never thought I'd learn this, my favorite Led Zeppelin song. First song/dance at my first wedding..... The Lemon Song was our honeymoon song. Unbelievable sex ;-)
Love your instructional style! You really break this down in a way that makes it playable! Lovin it!
Hand contortionist time...more than an hour of practice I'll bet
Thank you!

Make fun to learn from you
Estas mamando 😂😂😂
One does not simply pick up a guitar and play like Jimmy Page.
Jimmy Page did.
Amen brother. It gets me frustrated at times trying to replicate Jimmy is just not possible but it makes me a better player.
But after a couple of days of practice,
I am fucking playing like Jimmy Page!!!!
I never thought I'd learn this, my favorite Led Zeppelin song. First song/dance at my first wedding.....
The Lemon Song was our honeymoon song. Unbelievable sex ;-)
you're very cute.
Talk to much.just play
