Morning Justin. Nice video bro. My wife and I met u at IOB boat ramp yesterday. Been following your videos for 2 yrs now come April. Forgot to ask you about ships and large tugs that travel LA Quinta channel. Have u ever had them come thru when yr in yr kayak and any tips to handle any wake. I've seen big wakes from the large tugs without barges. This coming from beginner yaker. Appreciate yr experience and comments. Luv those reds and very nice boat.
It was nice to meet yall. The ships can be spooky. If one is getting close, go out to deeper water, the waves don't break in deeper but they can break big in shallow. Not all the ships put out a big wave but I've seen a few. Thank you for following for 2 years!
Justin are you using a swivel and mono to attach to braided line when using soft plastics or do use an knot such as the FG or double uni?
Most of the time I tie straight to braid with no leader line. I just don't take the time and keep it simple

It's because kayak trips are slow for me in February. I have a few kayak trips coming up though. Until then I'm gaining all the knowledge I can from the boat in New water and preparing for the very near future. I will still guide from a kayak too this year
