I've done that my entire life. Maybe not getting another dog right away, but I've had a dog growing up until right now. 21 years. My kids will grow up with dogs in the house. I find it amazing that "Dog" is "God" backward. And they basically are.

I needed this. After rewatching 5 times I'm still crying so much. My dog died a couple years ago and we're finally getting a new one. It looks the same as the one in the vid which makes it so much more touching

I just lost my baby yesterday. I dont think I could get another dog. She's been with me through elementary, middle, high school and half of college. But she's definitely up there with all my other little fur babies living it up. Shes also visited a couple times because my cat will run back and forth and stare at something for no reason❤

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. It tool me 15 1/2 years to get over my first dog. Got him when I was 10, lost him when I was 21. Finally was able to overcome it when I got another dog (Apollo). But the first 5 or 6 years without Brownie was the worst.
@meangreenf150 it's been rough. We've even found strays that were lost and when we found the owners we were always sad but relieved because we weren't ready. It just feel like replacing them.

To me, the most important thing in this video is the beginning. The only thing that mattered to the dog was that he died, "hugging his best friend." Don't let them cross over alone. They are there for you in all your tough times. You can be there for them at the end. 💕🐾
This made me start crying. My dog is 16 years old and he has nearly died 3 times. I can’t imagine my life without him and I don’t want him to leave me, and just thinking about it makes me cry. He’s my best friend, he’s always been there for me and I never want him to go

I feel you pain, I’m in a similar situation. Almost 15 years old his hearing has gone mostly he’s almost died 5 times and although we go on walks twice a day the distance is shorter. His mind is starting to go he gets anxious at night or when I’m away. But I hold him and talk to him every chance I get. 😢 he’s the best boy! he’s been there for me though some aweful things and I think he’s an angel sent to me. Taught me a lot about patience and the value of life.. I love him. But sometimes soon, I think I’m going to have to say goodbye because of his mind and not his body which has been so hard to decide to say goodbye. where is the threshold if he had debilitating disease that was traumatic or something obvious it might be easier maybe because the circumstances would make such that the decision is made for you. But here I am trying my best to take care of him and when it’s time for him not for me. And it breaks my heart.

This is sad because my dog recently died and I haven't stopped crying, she was only 6 years old, her name was Cocoa. She had kidney failure and we had to put her out of her pain. I know she was a good dog no matter what, she was well trained and I remember the first day we got her. She has helped me through everything, but I just feel terrible for never realizing how sick she was.
I tell you, always love your pet no matter what, you never know when will be their last day. Love them with all your heart. It's heartbreaking to lose a pet, never let them go. Always pay attention to their needs even at your weakest, they need it...😔

Yep. I am a vet too. Lost one of mine almost 2 months ago and i still sob like a baby when i see her pillow. You would think being a vet it would make grief easier.

This was really touching, my beagle just passed away unexpectedly recently, it was very tragic, she was the most energetic dog I've ever had and she would get so excited when I got home she work herself into a whimper lol, she even liked chasing butterflies, she will be missed dearly, I loved that pup.

Reminds me of the movie "A dog's Purpose". I bawled my eyes out while watching that movie. Coz the dog's soul travelled through more than 3 lives just to be with his 1st owner again. His owner was a little boy when they met first. And that owner became an old man when that dog (Bailey) finally found him. Bailey even made him find his first love and they got married too. It was such a beautiful movie. 😍😍

We had to say goodbye to our dog last year, and it was the worst kind of heartbreak. She should've had so many more years with us, but at least we were there in her last moments and could hold and comfort her.

After many months of suffering through poor health, my parents unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to put our dog down last month. They had bought her as a puppy when I was five years old and she was in my life for thirteen years. It's been a hard adjustment to say the least.
I don't know if we'll ever get another dog, but this reminded me so much of her and how she would always try to cheer me up when I was down. I miss you, Keely, and I hope you know that you were loved.

I watched this multiple times, its exactly the same as my dog. She was a beautiful brown and white husky who was extremely nice, we had to put her down cause she had cancer. I will always miss her, especially when someone or i mention her name. It's so relatable my first ever dog died in a car accident and then after like a month or something a new puppy came to our house ( they both are strays ) on its own it looked kinda the same as my first one. awwww.. 💗💗💗 this warms my heart. recently my family got a new puppy called marshall. we haven’t owned any dogs for 5 years since we lost our 2 other dogs who have lived to 14-15 years. one of them was called ozzy and my parents keep accidentally calling marshall ‘ozzy’ and they say he reminds them of ozzy very much with his personality. this animation is so sweet and beautiful! 🥰 it shows how sweet and loyal dogs can be 💕

I really needed this. Me and my family recently put down our dog( before anyone comes at me for that it was for a good reason. She had bone cancer and it was eating all her bones. We were going to give her a surgery but she was to old and would make it alive so that’s why we put her down). And we decided we would get a new dog since she was our guard dog. And I felt bad that we just replaced her but after seeing this it wasn’t a bad decision and all I think about when I look at him is her.

I had a black lab way long ago and then years after it died, I was walking to high school and a stray black lab who looked like him followed me. I even found a blue ball on the street like the one I used to play with my old dog. It followed me all the way to school. I cried so much when I got home though cause my grandparents didn't want to adopt anymore pets. DX It reminded me so much of them. I hope it ended up in a good home and protected the children like my old dog kept a kidnapper away from me.
Dogs show us what genuine love looks like. They're happy just because. And happier when you're happy. They might snatch the bacon off your plate, but would brave a burning house to save you. They don't care what have, who you know, or what you look like. They just love you because you are you, and you exist. 🥰
