Nevaeh you are so funny, creative and adventurous “roughing it” in your car! When your Dad told you to “run” and Eli came to drop off your pajamas was hilarious! Very entertaining and well done! Especially the long drive home!
I noticed you packed your guitar, so I was looking forward to some Nevaeh Souza musical tunes. So next time……we would love to have you sing around the campfire! Happy trails young lady!
A good tip: don't leave door open after dark while the light is on inside the car. It will invite a ton of bugs inside your car and they will feast on you while you asleep. Bug bites are not fun. You did great and you definitely inherited your parents humor, love it!
I would definitely pack mine up and take him everywhere…well I sort of do I wear his ashes everywhere! He passed away last October…cancer, long time smoker…I truly miss his wisdom and our laughter. Don’t take dads for granted…love them and learn from them. ❤
Laugh out loud funny and a great reality check. You discovered many of the downsides to vehicle living in just one day. And you showed what a wonderful family you have. That pajama moment was adorable, and Steak Night will be one you'll remember for years. Great job!
Nevaeh your channel has been a pleasant surprise. Honestly my expectations were not very high when your parents mentioned your new channel. Your videos are clever, entertaining and well thought out and edited, you have good comedic instincts as well. I believe you have a very fulfilling future on UA-cam if you so desire.
This was cute and funny. I did a 10,000 roadtrip across the US in 2013, and slept in a tent 95% of the time. There were a few days or nights that I spent in a Motel 6 due to severe rain, but hey, they left a light on for me, how could I refuse? 😂 I think you would do fine with a small Motorhome that has amenities. "Roughing it" isn't for everyone. My daughters think camping is staying in a cabin with all the amenities.
LMRO ! This video was absolutely hilarious Neveah !! Thank you so much for the laughs!!! You're humor is ALMOST as great as you're voice when you sing ,as to me you sound heavenly . God bless you young lady !!
Yes, I forgot about it- you SING! So sorry- I have short term memory problems…since 12/27/94 when your parents were little kids! Sorry about that! So, that is something that you can also work on, if you would like to…singing/song writing. Just keep that idea in your little pocket. You will be surprised how much a year changes your mind. If you are interested in singing today, it may be singing next year and vice versa. However, you don’t have to think about it now. It’s next year when your thinking process begins….bon chance!
Nevaeh, you could have parked under a tree so you wouldn't have the sun beating down on your car all day. Also, by not telling viewers where you parked and slept until the 'very end' of the video would have felt exciting and intrepid, to us. Haha! I would have thought, how brave and crazy you were...not realizing that you were only a stone's throw from the house! Lol! You are such a character! Love you girl. 😘
LOL... You crack me up, Nevaeh.🤣❤ Loved the commentary, and Eli knocking on your door was too cute. Bet you learned a few things about camping. Thank your Dad for coming to your rescue, or you might have starved teehee.😂🤣 ❤
Nevaeh, you’re so adorable and funny! You’re also very blessed! Your parents and your family are undeniably amazing! What a blessing that your parent’s efforts and hard work is for you to live in such a great expansion of land safe from the world’s insanity. Please don’t be in a hurry to leave this Garden of Eden that your parents have created for you. Turning 18 doesn’t mean that you’re an automatic adult, it means that you will start working toward your future while still living at home. In Puerto Rico where my family’s from once we turn 18 and graduate from High School we go to college and start working toward getting a degree. Many of us either stay at home or go live in the college campus and also work. We begin to live and make decisions for ourselves while still abiding by our parent’s advice and wise counsel. Believe it or not, traditionally we officially move away from home when we get married or when we’ve graduated from college and started our profession. We were never in a hurry to leave the safety of our parent’s headquarters because we knew that life requires preparation (a profession or career) and enough maturity to make wise decisions and set ourselves up for success. Many of us after leaving home have went on to get our master’s or doctor’s degrees, gotten married and built a family of our own. So, please don’t put this stress upon yourself to have to leave your home simply because of a number (18). Take your time to be young and naive while building your future in the safety of your home. ❤
Hahahahaha 🤣 that was amazing. It was a huge learning experience. Thx Dad. You never really know until you try it for yourself. Love the video. You should try it again & see how planning another trip will be better. Best wishes
Another thing you learned is even in negative times you can choose to find positives. It may not make everything perfect but it will help you persevere. I grew up tent camping with Scouts. My son and I went to Nee Mexico last year and backpacked 70+ miles over 12 days to 12,000 feet (we live in VA at 106 feet for comparison). But carrying your own food, your own tent, water etc and waking up to some of god most glorious scenes was something I’ll never forget. Maybe car camping long term won’t be for you. But never turn down a camping adventure. Just make sure you go prepared. Blessings from Richmond, VA.
Nevaeh you are to funny. Just wait till the mosquitoes get you while sleeping. Or a bear comes knocking at your door. 😂🤣😂. Your brother bringing your pajamas to you was so funny. All I will say is don’t rush growing up. It goes by fast and you have a lot of responsibilities.
Great job Navaeh! For long trips or “car camping”, I would recommend: 1. Travel Johns 2. Mini cooler for food and beverages. 3. Hand warmers (hot hands or rechargeable heater) 4. Window shades to keep heat in or keep cold out. 5. Netting for windows for ventilation but no bug bites.
LOL! Reality was realized by "roughing it". If you hadn't tried it you wouldn't have experienced the realities of really roughing it. Well done Nevaeh and you realized that it was not your cup of tea or hot noodles, LOL. Things look easier on Instagram, You Tube etc. I am glad your parents let you try it and that you realized that as the saying goes "all that glitters is not gold". In spite of all you experienced you did very well! You are a trooper and have learned life lessons from your parents. You go girl!
The Winter of 2009-10 in Springfield, Missouri...I lived in my 1991 Honda Accord Station Wagon. But Girl, in the city or woods, lock your car doors at night ☺
Hi Nevaeh, it doesn't matter when or where, how or what you are doing, you can always count on Dad to be there even when roughing it up and the drive back home, Epic journey
I really enjoyed this! Your newness to all of this is the opposite of an experienced traveler and that is okay! For some reason I thought you were a vegetarian, but I must have got that mixed up with gluten-free. And I really appreciate you camping out at the edge of your yard. That is such a smart way to be gradually initated in to the self-sufficiency genre! Accept a virtual hug from me for all that you are learning!
That was good comedy Nevaeh! Definitely get a van outfitted with stove/toilet if you want to do it for real. Nice to see you adventuring out and trying new things. Enjoy these videos! Have a wonderful week!
Try it again. #1 get an air bed. Leave car seats where they are and pump until it fits. Add a pillow. #2 Put covers up to repel sun and privacy. Use silver thermal stuff used to insult inside of lunch boxes/coolers. Get it at Home Depot in insulation area. Make them all to fit perfectly with velcro. Now you can use ehatever method to use restroom. I always open car door, sit with bum against the edge of car towards seat inside, that way your not dangling free air and you're hidden behind your door😊. Don't forget to get a stash of wipes. Gather punecones. 😂
Hi Nevaeh - what a creative & funny young lady you are. Please don't lose that as you get older. I'm sitting here trying to figure out where your humor comes from, since both your mom & dad are hysterical ... but I think your creative side comes from mom and your humor and facial expressions from your dad. You are blessed in more ways than one. With love from NE Pennsylvania ❤
Few tips. 1. You can get an air mattress for SUV's that fits perfectly in the back of your outback. I have one we've used for camping when we didn't want to stay in a tent. 2. Your power port in your outback is rated at 100 watts, so running high watt items like a tea kettle or hot plate aren't a good idea, you'll likely blow a fuze. I found this out using an inverter for my wife's nebulizer. It being 150 watts would occasionally blow a fuse. Looks like you had a great learning experience, all from the safety of home.
I absolutely love the relationship that she not only has with her dad but also the rest of her family. What I love the most about her video's is the fact that they are not just her video's but rather good wholesome family family video's. She is the only person on You Tube that makes good family shorts and I really enjoy them. I hit the subscribe button on the very first video I saw of her and her family. God Bless!!!!
Great video Neveah! Very entertaining! It might not have been a History Channel episode of ALONE, but you gave it your full effort and I applaud you! Happy you are back home and blessed to be there! 👍😉😁
Hello Nevaeh 🤗 this was so brave of you to try something out of your comfort zone & so sweet of your Dad to come to the rescue with steak & Eli with PJ s 😉
This is the most inspirational video on survival in the near-wild I've ever seen. It's filled with tested and proven means of beating the elements. You are definitely a bush survivalist. 👍👍👍
Absolutely hilarious and so cute! Great topic! It's good that you tried it out first and now you know. Oh and beans are naturally gluten free and pack well. Great job!
When my wife was a child, her father made a trailer for their Station Wagon and drove their 4 kids and mother on a grand tour across the country from NY to Disneyland and back. Stories about campground toilets with Blue Water abounded. But now she wants a camper to recreate the childhood horror. Nostalgia is strong. Protect your kids from it.
Lol your so funny 😅!! I love watching you. I would have called DAD too!!😂. Your little brother bring your PJ....lol Was you ready for this camp out??? I'm so proud of you NEVAEH 👏🥰💛❤. Love you!!
Nevaeh , you are a breath of fresh air. Love your independent spirit. Love that your parents still know how to let you test your boundaries. Not let you risk your life. Blessings and prayers to ya.
Hi nevaeh, it is good to try it out but you are still in a safe place. It gives you a new appreciation of having a house. And still have dad and brother coming to the rescue, hilarious and cute😂 it was still very realistic and young people watching this can learn a lot from it. Thanks and keep on exploring, you do it the right way, without danger. As always love from Switzerland 🇨🇭, rachel
Neveah you are hilarious and I love your humour and your adventure. Kudos to your dad saying no to you to trying to rough it and that you could try it on the property, your dad is very wise. I loved how Eli came and brought your pj's and telling you to run and your long drive home was epic. I must say though I would not have slept with my car doors open, bears, kayoties no way. Thanks loved this video, your editing skills are amazing.
I laughed so much. Our boys were raised dry camping 😅. No toilet or water however we were there. I’m so glad you took this mini trip as it will help for future thoughts down the road. You are adorable 💖👵🏻👩🌾❣️
Your videos are getting so much better. Very entertaining. We loved it. You're also turning into a very beautiful young lady. We've watched you grow over last few years of following your parents. I'll bet they're very proud of you. 😊💯👍
Should consider buying a short bus and converting it to a tiny home. that would make a lot good videos and then you can strike out on your own at least on the weekends in the converted bus. The conversion can have a tiny kitchen and a tiny bathroom along with a sleeping area and an area to hang out in.
I laughed a lot watching this. Your so entertaining! Also relatable. I did stuff like this when i was a teenager. Thank you for sharing your antics. Brings back memories
Did you realize that the blanket you spread out in your cars trunk has "Live Happy" written on it? 🤭 Fun fact: I have exactly the same charcoal chimney since decades. However, when sleeping in you car you dont need to worry about the monster under your bed. It stays in the AC home with a bathroom and a fridge for the midnight snacks (if your snoring becomes just too much). Monsters prefer their creature comforts. They dont follow you outside.😀
Lighter fluid is great for lighting coals for the grill however my husband recently ran out and instead of running to the store real quick he used rubbing alcohol. So much better then lighter fluid and no trace of lighter fluid taste on our food 😊
Lol well done Jeremy and Melissa! You have plenty of time to experience "the road" Nevaeh. Don`t wish your life away young lady. You`ll be an adult soon enough. Enjoy being a teenager and the beautiful home and family you have. I am very happy your parents' said NO to your request.
Sweet girl, you have plenty of time to determine what you want to do when you grow up. Enjoy the time you have with your Mom and Dad and brothers and sister. You will know exactly what you want to do when the time comes. Keep singing, you have a beautiful voice. I enjoyed this video. Blessings
Now that was fun to watch kiddo!!!! Mind you, I laughed thru most of it🤣🙃😂. Goodonya for giving it a try. It made for great viewing. Richard from Down Unda.
Enjoy and spend as much time with your Dad as you can. My father passed away last year and I miss him like crazy. Wished I would have learned more from him and just sat and talked more to him. I thought I knew more and didn't need his guidance. I regret it so much.
Lions..Tigers..and Bears oh my! My advice if you ever plan a road trip alone, get a tear drop trailer. Nice bed, lights, and the back hatch opens up and you have a basic place to cook and store your food. Very funny post and I am glad your dad said no to going off the homestead to spend the night in your car. It's a DAD thing...HA
Well you got to start some where, i have to admit there are a lot of women are living the van life style and a friend of mine she does the same. least you have given it a try, made be 2 days trial next time. Camp stove and cookware kit is a must. Nice Vid Nevaeh 👍
You and your dad should go out and get an old used Van and set it up for Van Life and have it there so anyone one of you can camp in it when they want to get away from the easy living life. Then you'll have more of an idea of what it's like. It would be like an apartment on wheels. ha ha Your dads a great teacher, your young and still learning what works for you. Great job keep it up be safe, and careful. Bless you and your family
Your video was fun & made me laugh.I liked when you said you got your Dad out, too funny! When your hatch is open for long time do you have to flick the latch inside the door so your car battery doesn't go dead? That's what I have to do in my Subaru. It's all good info & gives others guidance.😊
You amaze me!! An adventure on your terms. At least you tried, next time you will be more prepared, LOL. Love your sense of humor. Home is where the heart is, enjoy it while you can. Maybe next time you can use the apartment that is being built!! Love you
I genuinely like this video because of how genuine you are. You're not trying to be anyone but who you are. You are funny too and that helps so much! ❤ Not sure how long I've been watching your family but I know it has been years and I am so happy with how you have turned out! You've always been a kind soul and I think you always will be ❤
Roof Top Tent ;) easy to install and maintain with a little elbow grease and leaves the boot etc for storage. I have an Isuzu Ute but also have a tradies trailer I’m converting into a camper trailer with a 4 man roof top tent and many other things it be retrofitted into the trailer 😵💫
Also just a heads up a kettle uses a large amount of of energy to run so a small inverter will not work as it will be too much for it to run. A lot goes into camping with power so yea hehe
You need a certain amount of certain gear to do this well.. Let alone a decent amount of means for fuel. Helps getting solar gear. And get a little personal cooking burner. Or go propane.. I recommend a decent soda kit. Safer. Less to deal with. Ounce you buy the gear.. No repeat purchase. Good luck with your adventure.
What a great idea… the bathroom would be the thing that would send me home!!! Watching all the vanlife videos sure seems good ..but I bet the first thing your folks would think about would be your security with life on the road!!! At least you are trying out all your options !!! Charge on you will find your way!!!
I lived in a semi for years and loved it.The secret of "The Power of the Silver Key"! It was fun watching you Nevaeh. I have a niece named Nevaeh you are only the second woman I have seen with that name,Very Cool! A/C is nice 🙂
i respect that you spent the night in the back of your car which i have done quite a few times when night fishing i think you will do very well on your own you have my full respect .
Great video. BTW, a charcoal chimney eliminates the need for lighter fluid. Wad up some newspaper or a brown paper bag and put it in the lower compartment below the charcoal, then light it. Also, no nasty fumes doing it this way. I use my charcoal grill frequently and I haven't used lighter fluid in years. You should try backpacking.

U R 2 funny!
if she goes into you-tube as a career she would be really good at doing satire on so many subjects.
Spiny fire tornado…..I made fire! Your dad is the BEST. I love the tap-tap-tap of Eli bringing your PJ out to you.
Nevaeh, Well done!! What a great sense of humor!!!
A good tip: don't leave door open after dark while the light is on inside the car. It will invite a ton of bugs inside your car and they will feast on you while you asleep. Bug bites are not fun. You did great and you definitely inherited your parents humor, love it!
Yes, if only we could pack our dad's and take them wherever we go 😅
Hahaha!!! That's great to hear, considering most young adults want us dads to stay far, far away...😂😅😊
As a father, This is the most beautiful compliment. Thank you:)
I would definitely pack mine up and take him everywhere…well I sort of do I wear his ashes everywhere! He passed away last October…cancer, long time smoker…I truly miss his wisdom and our laughter.
Don’t take dads for granted…love them and learn from them. ❤

For long trips or “car camping”, I would recommend:
1. Travel Johns
2. Mini cooler for food and beverages.

Hi Nevaeh - what a creative & funny young lady you are. Please don't lose that as you get older. Great video idea. Next challenge: One week living out of your car. This will show you how much you learned and if you prepare all the right items.

I'm glad you didn't get lost out there
An adorable girl being adorable.
I did many road trips in Oregon in a station wagon back in the 80's. Great fun!
I would like to see you and dad do a cabin build for you just down the road it would be a great series for your channel
Your videos are getting so much better.
Very entertaining.
We loved it.
You're also turning into a very beautiful young lady. We've watched you grow over last few years of following your parents.
I'll bet they're very proud of you.
😊💯👍
Fun Video. Back when I was your age I had a VW camper and I use to take breaks from my parents home and explore. Mostly in the White Mountains of NH.
Fun fact: I have exactly the same charcoal chimney since decades.
However, when sleeping in you car you dont need to worry about the monster under your bed. It stays in the AC home with a bathroom and a fridge for the midnight snacks (if your snoring becomes just too much). Monsters prefer their creature comforts. They dont follow you outside.😀
I laughed so much - love your sense of humor lol😂💕
being a nomad I thought this video was cute the right gear makes all the difference between being comfortable or being miserable.
Nevaeh-you are hilarious-but you did it--well done-faith over fear right--hopefully there will be a next time. Have fun w/new adventures!
Lighter fluid is great for lighting coals for the grill however my husband recently ran out and instead of running to the store real quick he used rubbing alcohol. So much better then lighter fluid and no trace of lighter fluid taste on our food 😊
No I lived a camper on the back of my truck with 5 kids ,2 dogs,2 cats,2 birds.
Camping when you were a kid🤠❤️. Good job kid!
HAHAHAHAHA! What a clever video, Nevaeh!! And hilarious! 🤣
A really entertaining video Nevaeh, it is only when you try something different you appreciate what you have. But you stuck it out, well done.
You crack me up! 😂
Dad's are awesome!
Brilliant.. Had me laughing through this entire journey... Love from NYC
Nevaeh good luck on your adventure, you did have me chuckling, take care. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Such a cool Dad and of course Mom too!
You are the funniest ever. Thank you for being so entertaining.
You've always been a kind soul and I think you always will be ❤
Thank you so much ❤️
A memory foam camping mattress you can roll up and secure with straps, would be much softer and more comfortable for sleeping.
😂😂😂 Lord I just love your parents😂😂😂
Good for you. Checking it out to see what you may want to do. Great video!
What a great idea… the bathroom would be the thing that would send me home!!! Watching all the vanlife videos sure seems good ..but I bet the first thing your folks would think about would be your security with life on the road!!! At least you are trying out all your options !!! Charge on you will find your way!!!
I can't imagine my 18 yr. old gbabe Nevaeh, doing that, but then we live in the city 😂. So cute to adventure tho 😊. I love your humor, great job 😍
😂😂😂I like that you try new things and I think you enjoyed yourself in spite of the heat!
Bears and really big deer. So funny. 😂
Good move dad and mom having her stay in the field as first venture, maybe a year of field living will give her a tiny idea of the +'s and -'s
I lived in a semi for years and loved it.The secret of "The Power of the Silver Key"! It was fun watching you Nevaeh. I have a niece named Nevaeh you are only the second woman I have seen with that name,Very Cool! A/C is nice 🙂
I am glad you chose someplace safe for your first adventure. You have smart parents!!
i respect that you spent the night in the back of your car which i have done quite a few times when night fishing i think you will do very well on your own you have my full respect .
You have such a great personality. Good luck in your ventures in life. Your parents must be very proud of you.
It is all in the planning. Decide on food, place where to go to the bathroom, and where the weather is the best for stopping to overnight.
So much fun to watch and laugh with you! Great job!
😂😂😂😂 Such a lovely video! I enjoyed it tremendously! This might soon become your video that went viral!!!
Your parents must be soooo proud!❤. And amused, and concerned😊
Thanks for making me laugh. Great job.
