So many people who live in their cars are in such good shape. I was worried about gaining weight since I'm about to start living in my car too, but honestly, I'm thinking I might get into better shape.
Stay away from fast food, because it's simple. Cooking and eating while living in a vehicle can be a pain if you allow it. I'm so lazy I just eat salads, fruits, and raw veggies. It helps you losr a ton of weight, you're going to do great!
Yes I'm in pretty good shape and I live in My car. I dont eat processed foods and I go to the gym everyday
It's really, really easy to gain weight living in your car. It's just mostly thinner people doing vanlife videos. Cooking and cleaning is more challenging and more work in a vehicle so if you don't do it in a house, you're not going to do it in your car/van. Get into healthy habits in your house. Don't eat until stuffed in your house. Don't eat when you're bored or lonely in your house. Be active - hike and walk - in your house. If you're not doing all of that in a house, you're not going to do it in a vehicle.

I have a 2001 GMC Yukon suv I've already put a sleeping cot in it and a storage container, I've been sleeping in it off and on, I've been taking care of my 84 year old mom who's been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia,if anything ever happens and I lose my mom,I will live in my vehicle full time and travel to try to deal with my grief, you're an inspiration to me, I showed my mom your video and she said that you're a smart young lady who knows how to live life as its meant to be lived, please be careful out there,

First time watching one of your videos, but I really enjoyed it. I am 48, and I am so envious of the freedom and experiences this lifestyle offers. If only I could go back to my twenties. Unfortunately, we did not have cell phones and the internet, so I would not have felt very safe, but I wanted to travel like that and always dreamed of it. You have no idea how much you will treasure this time in your life. Thank you for sharing with us. I subscribed/ followed and look forward to more videos. 🌞🐛🐃🌳🌺

You can still do it. Lots of older people, not that you are older, are living/traveling/car camping. I am all about traveling but I prefer to stay in either a hotel or an airb&b!!
I am 42 and I am still hiking and jumping off rocks into the river. My 48 year old husband does the same. We just bought a travel trailer and we hit the road in 6 months. It's not too late. Love your dreams.

I'm thinking of doing this, I love photography & I do delivery so I'm waiting on a settlement and going to head NW where the weather is cooler. Not sure how long I can do it & it will be challenging with 2 cats in tow but I've been watching these types of videos and others for awhile now, I think I can handle it. I probably will stay in hotels/motels a little bit here and there but we all know that's not how to really do this! Thanks!

@@monicamaragos yeah, they hate being in the car but it's either I have to give them up or take them with me but I'm sure they will get used to it, he probably would have gotten used to it... And no way can I give them away I think they'll be fine more than anything I think they just want to be with their owners... Yours probably misses you very much 🥰... I just bought a bunch of stuff and I'm getting ready to head out within the next month!
@@lauraslanesvanlifetravels I don't think cats would enjoy it at all or get used to it. The majority of cats wouldn't anyway. Cats get stressed very easily and most of them hate travelling. Dogs on the other hand may be able to cope.

wouldn't it be good if they invented a solar powered cooker, that can hold a charge during the night and stuff. that way no gas, no need for an outlet.

do you have a satellite phone in case you break down in the middle of nowhere and have no reception, or if your car battery dies u can call for help or have a replacement battery? you're so brave. i'd love to know all these little details, how you over come them they are so interesting to me.

Usually ioverlander or just by exploring and locals telling me the spots :)) honestly the past year i didnt really have any protection besides a knife.. however I decided recently to start carrying a small firearm safely in my vehicle with me!

This doesn't happen in Europe. Only in America. Europeans have insurance if you lose your job, the rent is paid for you, you don't get a lot of money but you don't own a car. Instead you get your rent paid for you. I know which I'd rather have.

I was going to reach out to everybody in this situation to try and help you all but the last girl on her video said, and to me this is crazy...she said, "I have a boyfriend.". This stop me cold from helping everybody because what you guys don't understand is when you're in these types of situations...
"YOU HAVE NOBODY" If you truly had somebody, they would have taken you in and you wouldn't have been living in your car. Not going to take her in and then some guy comes to my room looking for her. If you have a boyfriend that's who you should be with. That make zero sense to me like seeing homeless people with a dog or dogs.... "LIKE WHAT?" I was thinking I'll reach out and get you guys out of your cars and bring you in and then we all pull together to try to save each other.

Some people choose this lifestyle, some people would rather spend money traveling and meeting new people vs paying bills and working to pay bills. Y’all should stop assuming peoples stories..
Its a lifestyle for a lot of people,
