Di ko talaga malimutan noong nasa YJOZ pa sya at kumakanta sila sa Shakey's Araneta (2 venues). Sinabi ko na sisikat talaga ito. And eventually naka attend pa kami nng misis ko sa isang activity ng Foundation nya. Mula noon, hanggang ngayon, mahal na mahal ko itong singer na ito. Galing talaga!!!

THIS is one of the reasons I am hoping to make Philippines my home someday soon! Yes the land is beautiful ...but it's the FILIPINOS and their hearts that make the Philippines what it is!! Your story is amazing Arnel!! Your performance back in 2009 in Manilla was unbelievably amazing and at first I thought it was Steve until I looked at the screen and seen it was a Filipino belting out sounds just like Mr Perry himself. I think that you are such a beautiful and humble person as well and that just shines through every time I see you make a video. Definitely enjoyed this video. Looking forward for more! We’ve seen Journey’s Live show in Tinley Park, Illinois on July 30, 2011, it was such a bomb! We really had a blast. And at the end of the show, it was raining confettis and all, Arnel was about to walk out the stage, my twin sister and I in the front row, kept on chanting and screaming at the top of our lungs “WE LOVE YOU, ARNEL!” And we were totally shocked to the core and amazed with the fact that he went back onstage, grabbed the microphone, waved at us and said, “THANK YOU!” Definitely a class act. Arnel may never know it, but that one fine evening left an indelible mark in our hearts. So, Arnel if you’re reading this, we will never get tired of saying THANK YOU and WE LOVE YOU! You’ve been an inspiration not just to all the Filipinos but to all the people across the globe.

A very humble but AWESOME talent Mr Pineda truly is. He's taught many people many things with his humble character, high energy and gorgeous talent. An awesome performance!
I grew up with these songs and “the voice”. I eventually watched the video documentary which tells the story of your own journey into the band. It still inspires me to this day, considering your unique combination of talent and courage. Of all the biggest bands from famed American classic rock, I think this seat would probably be the toughest to fill, simply because of the sheer massiveness of the original singer’s sound. But you not only continue to pull it off, you do it with your own unique Filipino kindness and spirit.
I now have a girlfriend/ fiancé from Manila, and I’ve visited her 8 times there, so I can honestly say truly know the spirit of your culture. And that’s why this Manila show is so wonderful for me to watch.
For me (after growing up in the 80s here in the US, being a lifelong avid musician myself, AND knowing the spirit of Filipino culture)- this makes you a massive inspiration for me personally.
So, Salamat po, for the sounds, A.P… and please don’t ever stop believing in yourself. Because.. despite all the American criticism that you’ve bravely faced, we all know the great fact. There is only one person who could’ve pulled this off, and the band was smart enough to give you the job (very good decision). I couldn’t imagine a better singer to front the band, and I know plenty of us Americans agree- especially we American musicians who listen- not only emotionally but also technically / critically- to your sound.
