Broke down and bought the 125ml bottle today.....this smells amazing. Comes off more mature than Code EDT, perfect since I'm pushing forty😂. The opening does come off super fresh and then dries down a little darker but refined. The code DNA is still there from the first spray, it was immediately noticeable. 30 min into the dry down it comes off slightly soapy to me when smelled up close but from a distance it comes off more powdery. To me it seems like the Tonka bean isn't as in your face as the rest of the Code line. Overall a great addition to the code family.
Yeah, I'd definitely question pulling it off if I was still a 22 yo old as opposed to hitting 30s or 40s. It's *great* for a 30 something or 45 yo. It just smells like pure class in a bottle and I'd like to make it one of my new signatures. That and MIB at night, sounds like how I want my 40s to smell basically. Code EDT definitely smells way more boyish, and so too does Profumo, they basically both smell like a college boy finishing his undergrad. Parfum smells like a committee meeting.
Armani is probably the most solid overall house. None of their releases are bad, all of their lines are solid(ADG, Code, SWY, etc…) They may not be my absolute favorite fragrances, but they almost never put out a bad smelling fragrance.

I'm sure they could made the OG bottle refillable.. just make the sprayer turnable. The OG design is iconic you know its Armani Code whoever you are. Symbolizing a tuxedo (with a strap since 2015?). But this new bottle is just another bottle..

I don't know if the refill tanks actually sell but I could care less of the intention behind it because I don't feel like getting the 300ml for 200+$€£ refill bottle to refill my 30/60ml/... bottle if I don't even know if I will use up the fragrance that soon. Technically price-wise and of course for the sake of nature it might make sense at some time and point. But sometimes large bottles have crazy discouns that buying 3x 100ml turns out cheaper than getting the refill. I also doubt the refill decrease production of the regular glasses, because they produce millions of them anyways daily to secure the supply in the future. Maybe many years ahead once it caught up that the demand had been covered and people started getting the refill instead of a new single bottle everytime - but thats a long process until it benefits. In Germany for example different types of glass are recyceld, cleaned and melt over and over to produce new glass products... so the impact really depends on many factors.

I really love the Parfum. I've smelled every single fragrance in the Code line save a few (Absolu Gold, Colonia and funny enough, the EDT). Up till this point, I loved the EDP most. But now that I have the Parfum, it's a tough one. I think the EDP is more unique smelling, but it doesn't have that staying power that the Parfum has. The EDP lasts maybe 6 hours, whereas the Parfum lasts for at LEAST 10 - 12 hours. Great scent overall, very glad I got it. Also, the Parfum reminds me a little bit of Prada's L'homme L'eau. It's like if Code EDP and L'homme L'eau had a beautiful love child together.
I've had a tester of this for a month or so. Longevity is very long but it sits close to the skin. I think it is a perfect work/office scent. I do go nose blind to it from time to time but then I'll catch a waft even 6 to 8 hours later.
It is a pity that the old design is not continued. In perfume stores, you could immediately tell by the shape where Armani fragrances are. But now it looks quite boring, more like a redesigned Dior Sauvage bottle.
This is totally a cold weather frag. Longevity is huge on my skin, 13-15 hours. Definitely a night / date scent for me and not for office use as it's super strong. Classy package, worth to buy.
I just bought this trolling macys w some money in my pocket lol. I love this, I love iris and I love that it’s still a bit dark. Really refreshing from all the blue clean stuff all the other houses have been putting out. Great review man 👍🏽
Just got my bottle from Macy’s today. My skin loves this fragrance. Smells incredible. Been walking around at a family picnic in the sun on an 85° day and it’s working well. Not beast mode silage or projection, but definitely noticeable. Longevity is about average with mostly a skin scent after 5hrs. That’s strictly on skin. Maybe lasts longer on clothes. I got one full hour of average projection then boom, stuck close to working he skin for the next 5 hours! Amazing scent, below average performance! Of this had better performance.. it would easily have been new fragrance of the year!
It lasts forever on clothes. You can still smell it the next day, although depending your laundry detergent it can really overemphasize the iris into being an almost soapy smell. On skin, it is a very leathery, classy, Undertow kind of vibe.
Don't hold me to this, but I got word that Macy's is going to have a sale on fragrances from 8/25 - 8/27. Some might be in store only. So, if you're planning on getting the new Parfum, this would be the best time before they hit discounters!
I loveeeeeeee this new design and the juice is also to die for. It made me an iris lover that’s for sure. I’ve gone through 3 bottles so far since I found this perfume. Really amazing concoction.

I purchased it yesterday at Macy's and started wearing it immediately. All I can say is YESSSSSS!!!! I love the nice balance of iris in this formulation, not too much or too little. It projects very well, and the dry down is BEAUTIFUL. This is a must have and I completely agree this is a completely versatile scent.
I'm a die-hard colonia fan since it's release... Love the warmth of the tonka in the Armani Code Family but the others always were too heavy for a warm climate where I live. Colonia was perfect for it with the freshness of the bergamot. Didn't realise they were gonna be discontinued so ran out to grab a new bottle so I could enjoy it a lil bit more. Might consider this new armani code parfum since it tends fresher than the others... Hopefully I'll find a nice replacement
I do get some elements of Prada L’Homme. I just got this in the mail today and I’m a few hours into it now. Oh wow. This one is going to work with me tomorrow.

I think the freshness, and I made this comparison.. It’s like if Armani made an “Orris scented dryer sheet”, with how the Orris/Iris Aldehyde accord works. It adds a touch of the powdery nuances, but the aldehydes and bergamot leaf, add that insane crisp fresh texture…. Either way, copping a 125ml was ABSOLUTELY worth it. Can’t wait to have to order my refill bottle.
Along comes the Parfum hot on the heels of the EDP. Quite unexpected given the length of time between the EDT and EDP. The Parfum sounds right up my street. Looking forward to sampling it.
I need that opening Dolby sound as a ringtone, lol. Seriously though, I don't own any Code version yet, just never "clicked" with me but this new version might work out, I'm going to look into it. I think the bottle looks more streamlined, more classy but it's kind of sad it lost it's personality, as you put it.
Considering it's relatively more fresh, I wonder how the longevity will be 🤔. For that price point for a designer, it has to have a longevity of at least 7 hours imo.
All of the Armani Code flankers have great performance so I would expect this one to as well. I can easily smell any of the Armani Code flankers on clothing the next day however the EDP released in 2020 seems to be the strongest to me. I haven't tried this one yet but I'm definitely gonna check it out.

The iris hits more like Prada Ocean than L'Homme to me. I get that same grape like fresh fizz. This is like Prada Ocean with some code warmth. Also reminds me of CH bad boy with iris instead of cocoa, same vibe. Way better than any of the frags mentioned though. It is perfection. I am kind of mad because I recently got EDP and this is so much better and more modern.
@@SherlockDave It is quite a bit different than the EDP. The Parfum is like a modern take, fresher and with added iris. They share the same DNA, but they are two separate scents.
sadly not a huge fan of this one. The tonka to me feels almost synthetic smelling specially when smelling it close to skin. Smells much better in the air but def prefer other tonka/iris fragrances. It also def makes sense that absolu is my fav in this line as its not very close to the OG, and perfum dna.
I own both absolu and edp and love both of them. And I love how the older bottle look compared to this new one the bottle looks like dior Sauvage/ Armani profumo bottle
Does anyone else get an odd note right at your skin with this one?. I can't place it , it doesn't project off the skin much but it's there for half the dry down before it fades.

Also reminds me of CH bad boy with iris instead of cocoa, same vibe. Way better than any of the frags mentioned though. It is perfection. I am kind of mad because I recently got EDP and this is so much better and more modern.

@@SherlockDave It is quite a bit different than the EDP. The Parfum is like a modern take, fresher and with added iris. They share the same DNA, but they are two separate scents.
They straight up copied the Sauvage bottle lol. I prefer the old bottle, but bonus points for magnet cap.

sadly not a huge fan of this one. The tonka to me feels almost synthetic smelling specially when smelling it close to skin. Smells much better in the air but def prefer other tonka/iris fragrances. It also def makes sense that absolu is my fav in this line as its not very close to the OG, and perfum dna.
What are your favorite Tonka/iris fragrances?
Absolu was awesome. Kinda sad it's discontinued.

I own both absolu and edp and love both of them. And I love how the older bottle look compared to this new one the bottle looks like dior Sauvage/ Armani profumo bottle
Does anyone else get an odd note right at your skin with this one?. I can't place it , it doesn't project off the skin much but it's there for half the dry down before it fades.
