Just read through the "new features and pricing". You do not seem to understand the userbase. If Trimble bought this software are a future profit center, you do not understand a large portion of the user base. $300 dollars a year for this product that basically functions the same way it did before Google bought it? For many design professionals, this program has been a toy due to it being mesh and not NURBS. If this tool is going to be strictly architectural going forward just say that and the rest of the users can rip the bandaid off and move to Fusion360 or other modellers. You have(or had) the opportunity to turn this software into a major player able to compete with platforms like SolidWorks if you could take the functionality of the interface and graft it to a real engine. Or made it the goto smaller player that could evolve over time. you don't build great things on poor foundations. If I was in your position I would have worked something out with Micheal Gibson years ago [MOI3D] to turn this tool into a real boy or at least that direction. I started 3D with SketchUp long ago and have moved on to multiple modellers more capable but kept my license of SketchUp current due to it being useful for communicating non-critical rough ideas quickly even though the price kept creeping for what was effectively the same product. But almost tripling the maintenance cost for the comparable product? Well, good luck. I will not be renewing. My suspicions are that I will not be the only one.
Layout is difficult for me to use. Im used to solidworks for drawings or autocad. I wouldnt know where to begin on layout for a 100 page workbook that describes everything about a building or a part haha
Possibly so. LayOut exactly dimensions whatever was drawn in SketchUp. If you are getting dimensions other than what you are expecting, there is a possibility that something is off with your input. Post a model over at forums.sketchup.com and someone can take a look!
LayOut, for years now simply the best application for all my project specific (technical) documentation needs
Layout needs to be more drafting friendly. Been using it for years now with little improvements over the years...

No. LayOut is a Pro feature - www.sketchup.com/plans-and-pricing/compare
and still no vector hatches(((
hi, new to layout. I am using layout for drawings. but the dimensioning tool is not accurate. Is there any setting that I missed?

@@SketchUp yeah, you are right. sketchup community might be a better place to get the answer.
Hope it works faster and pastel images export and print bug is fixed finally.
What about pdf import on PC? Vector hatches and more types of lines would be also nice...
Layout is way too slow... Can the Trimble engineers work on this in the future version?
When i duplicate a page whatever i change on the first one it updates the second, how do i make the second page unique?
I didnt know this for sketchup , now i think is better than revit
that is the stupidest single most uneducated thing someone said ... and im a day hard sketchup fan
of course sketchup is way better then sketchup , it has a plusspec plugin a true bim solution for sketchup .
Nah. revit is till the boss
E o 2019??? O sketchup está Galindo?
What new in 2019 layout?
Try watching the introduction for Layout 2018. That should cover most of it.
Nothing new, it seems. But somehow it seems to work smoother than 2018.
