- We had an outstanding dyno session with William Tetro and his killer Twin Turbocharged LS 427 Nova and it’s ready to hit the track! Follow along and turn the volume up as we get the car bolted up to our Hub Dyno and start the pulls, you'll be in for a surprise at the end when the final dyno numbers appear!

The boys believe they saw the truck as they were headed for an early exit around 2:00 pm ...
I okayed them( via cell... ) to make a last check burst in the truck on the county road before the " chicken coupe " right before town... and they broke ...💔 the second prototype IRS, billet 2 speed, quick change rearend, in a frigging monster pothole ( Huge rookie mistake, on me giving the go ahead ) Ugghh...
We had a meeting 2 days before they left for LS East... the consensus was to leave, and not CNC my newer "mamoth 10" ring gear case, and that was the start... We have 4 in service for over 14 months, from a 1700hp street car to our big hp, track grudge duo( unbeat in a 5 state area of underground toys... lol, all for fun...) and only had to change mat'l on our 1.85" joint "orbits".
Now we do it like I should have: back under wraps... until we get them all refreshed/outfitted with the plans, that I should not have deviated from. Look forward to getting back to our path, a d seeing you all.

Pretty cool! Would be interesting to see how long that setup lasts at that power level. Also, what they change the crank signal setup to.

I bet they know. If I’m not mistaken didn’t John recently say their going back to a hydraulic roller and I do believe the record was mentioned. Maybe they found out about this car and their going to try to get the title back.

Record was held by stefan Rossi at ace race engines and his nova, cars been out since sick week 2022 but will return soon with a new turbo set up and I assume will challenge the record again

This was his session at fuel tech, I thought it made more than this as it was featured on some sites. If since then it was beaten I wouldn't know but this is definitely a good start point.
John Doc ran a 4.15 in the 1/8 mile at Snowbird Nationals
Why dont drag cars run an intercooler? is it because its running methanol? How are the intake temps not too high
Methanol or E85 helps a bunch. Lots of time if the car is on methanol the weight of an ice/water intercooler isnt worth the set up. Air to Air still works but it ends up not being really effective. Imagine how little an A2A does at the tree on the two stage.
Methanol (and A LOT of it often times 16 port injectors as well as injectors in the charge piping) keeps the intake air temps manageable enough from what I've seen. Whether or not this is the case with this car, I'm not sure.
@@timothybayliss6680 yeah that makes sense. I would have to imagine that the methanol is enough, and like the other guy below said, injectors higher up would help a ton I'm sure too
You will actually have ice on the intake a lot of times after a high power methanol run. It draws so much heat out of the intake air, It can actually cause below freezing temperatures.
