    So good! Here’s my question (because no one can give me a straight answer, which is a red flag): Will degrees earned at Capella be received at another institution for the next degree up? Will an undergrad at Capella be received for a masters degree elsewhere? Will a masters at Capella be received for a PhD study elsewhere? I’m not sure why no one can give a clear yes or no lol! It would be terrible to do an entire degree at Capella and then when it’s time to move on, they say that all the work and time put in isn’t accepted. This is important to me because Capella does NOT offer my choice of study for the masters nor phd programs even though it DOES offer an undergrad I’m interested in.

      Hi Courtney! Thanks for watching. Great question. The best way to find out a definitive answer to your question is to call and speak with an enrollment advisor at perspective universities. However, as for me with a BSN I was accepted to different universities for a MSN yet I opted to stick with Capella. Addition, I went on to pursue a post master cert at another institution and was accepted to others for the same program. I hope this was helpful.

      Hello IAmKennedysMomma!! Thanks for watching. I was a bit nervous at first myself. Be sure to familiarize yourself with APA format. You can find some resources here www.nycclinicalworkshop.com/blog/apaformat
      Also, try to map out a tentative schedule of when you would like to have assignments completed. Pace yourself & utilize your resources. You’ve got this!!! Remember why you want to get started and don’t lose focus on that. Wishing you all the best. Don’t hesitate to ask any more questions.

    Nurse Reese, I'm inspired by your nursing educational journey. I have some questions about one of your courses. I'm not a social media person, I just joined youtube to subscribe to your channel and I FB to do my "research" on professors. So, I started the MSN and got stuck with a difficult instructor for my first course. Did you encounter this? If so, how did you handle it? She took the entire 48 hours to grade an assignment and now it's past the drop date. It's the Comm/Collab course and she is being extremely picky!!! I had no issue with the BSN (4.0)

    • @Dr.ReeseNP
      @Dr.ReeseNP  3 роки тому +3

      Hi Cho Li, thank you so much for watching and taking out the time to join UA-cam. Congratulations on your 4.0 in the BSN program!!! 🎉🎊🎈
      To answer your question.. Yes, I did encounter this as well during my 1st course in the MSN program. Like you, I also received a 4.0. So, in my mind I thought my writing couldn’t have went from distinguished to basic overnight. Lol. It was a little discouraging. However, I reviewed the feedback and made the necessary additions. And, those few sections went from basic to distinguished.
      What I find is that many of the instructors who facilitate the first course may not have many other courses; so they know exactly what they are looking for and what they want to see.
      I will say.. I did grow a lot from that first class. It make the ones to follow seem easy. Push through, you’ve got this. And, feel free to ask me any other questions you may have. Best wishes on your MSN journey 😊.

    How many papers, assignments, and test would you say each class average?

    • @Dr.ReeseNP
      @Dr.ReeseNP  3 роки тому +6

      Hey Scottia! Thanks for watching. In the BSN program I believe there are 3 Assignments in the first class. The 4 in the rest of the classes leading up to the Capstone which has 5.
      MSN-Ed- There are 3 assignments for the majority of the courses that are not specialty. Then the majority of the specialty course have 4 assignments. 1 specialty has 5, and another specialty course has 3. MSN-Ed Capstone has 6 assignments.
      Hope this was helpful!

    Girl! I could have done the 8 core classes in the bsn FP in 5 to six weeks ....but The holiday schedule is going to have me doing nothing for 4 whole days until my 4030 teacher finishing grading my last assessment and my 4040 teacher grades all four of my assessments.
    it is the ending of the 3rd week tomorrow and I have 3 electives that popped up because my transfer credits were finally transferred on the 3rd week.... and 3 core nursing classes left. (I have 4050,4060 and 4900 to do 😅)
