It's a surprisingly easy solo to play. It's just a really well arranged string of fairly basic pentatonic exercises. Half of the solo is played within the same box.
Because all she does all day is SHRED!!!! 🤘🏼
I had the random urge to watch a cover of the RTL solo at 5 am. Thank god this video exists.
Her picking technique is awesome, always impressed by it.

that minor pentatonic part on 0:43 - 0:50 is very tricky, but it’s the smoothest picking I’ve ever seen! damn badass

Barely even glances at the fret board for half the solo. I wish I had that kind of skill with the guitar. Such a badass.
To be fair... a good portion of the solo is played within the same pentatonic box. Play it enough times and it's fairly easy to breeze through it without looking at the fretboard
Alena, listening to you nailed that gave me the same great feeling as I had 30 years ago and I finally mastered that solo. You did a fantastic job

@@toddjoseph1tj Hardly. All of his solos were rewrote and he only has 2 credits on the whole album. Cliff was more of an influence than Dave ever was
@@metalmaniac8640 kirk plats the same solo in every song and I'm fully aware of Cliffs input that's why they have sucked since Cliff. Who cares about the solos

The original poster said it had some of their best work, u said its bc it had mustaine in it, I pointed out Mustaine had little to do with the album and that Cliff was more responsible for the albums than Dave was. Also the solos are included on the album so they have everything to do with it
@@toddjoseph1tj Also if they sucked since cliff how come And Justice is an arguable fan favorite and the Black album sent them into super star status, both of which having absolutely nothing to do with cliff with the exception on To live is to Die.

Love how no matter what style metal you prefer we all unit at metallica in some way. Many of us(obviously not all🙄) started here. They are one of the pioneers of metal whether you like em or not. You're so used to your wide-neck guitar it comes out naturally. Magnificent sound.
