Appreciate your review of Pride Go Powerchair. I may possibly purchase one but am surprised that the new models are not fitted with Lithium Batteries which would be beneficial. May I ask your thoughts about this please. PS. I have sold my Tyros 5 and now play the DGX670. Love the weighted Key-Bed. Best wishes from Lincoln UK.
With the introduction of the Jazzy Passport and Carbon models I guess they wanted to keep the more affordable Go-Chair as an option for people. The passport and Cabon are up in the $2000 plus range whereas the Go-Chair even though is still pricy at $1600 ish range. Who knows if they might add a Lithium battery to it, but I know the Go-Go endurance battery pack would fit but the price of the Maxx battery plus the Go-Chair would be more expensive to buy than just buying the Passport of Carbon or Golden Rabbit. Oh no not the 5 gone, DGX670, ah going back to weighted keys hey, I was thinking of getting a either Genos, Genos2, MODX7 or Montage 7 the last two are semi weighted Ive only got girly fingers lol and I don't want to beat the Sh!t out of my Tyros5 keys to much. Also I've been doing some covers lately using Reaper DAW software, good fun and keeps me out of Jenny's hair when I'm home 😁 Good to hear from you bud, take care.
Not sure if you’ll see this comment but I’m a 28-yr-old ambulatory wheelchair user (only use it outdoors). I have a folding power chair now but it’s not truly “portable.” Would this be more transportable because you can deconstruct the whole thing? Accessible housing is not an option for me and I’m looking for something that I can take down a small flight of steps more easily than a whole 80-lb wheelchair.
To be honest the pieces are lighter than 80 lbs. but you have multiple trips back and forth with all the parts, 30 lbs. seat 34 lbs. rear section 31 lbs. battery pack and the foot plate front section, I would get tired of doing that very quickly. Have you looked at the Feather Scooter or Jazzy Carbon? the Carbon only weights 43.6 lbs. damn sight lighter than 80 lbs. that's for sure. It has a 9 mile range The Feather only weighs 37 lbs. complete and once folded, you could possibly use the wheels in freewheel to help with negotiating the steps. Check out my videos on both under the play list of reviews I've done.
Another cracking video Ian and Jenny, hope you had a wonderful Christmas and wish you all the best for 2024 👍👍

I’m also more active than an average older user-do you think this thing could handle 3+ miles a day on bad sidewalks?
