  • Riding completely dialed by 2024 Husky FC350 vs brand new stock 2025 Husky FC350 back to back at Briarcliff MX! (thanks Dave and JD!)
    Back to back rides are a great way to feel the characteristics of different bikes. The 240 FC350 had the suspension dialed in by Brad at RideWorx. Brad knows suspension and has some great settings and upgrades for these Austrian models (current and pervious chassis).
    I think picky riders will notice the chassis updates on the 2025 FC350 with a little better lean angle traction and more compliant feel (right off the showroom floor). The 24 FC350 with dialed suspension feels very plush. I don't think the chassis updates on the 25 obsolete the 24 model - just a little more compliant. Some great deals out there now on the 24 Austrian models - maybe use the money saved to dial in the suspension to you.

    Brad at Ride works is a popular and busy man.... 🤣. I really enjoy your videos and look forward to them every time I log into UA-cam. AZ subscriber here. I have the 2024 KTM 350 XCF with Cone Valve/ Tax shocks and the '25 engine hanger mounts for extra comfort....I got my eye on that '25 KTM 300XC though...Just chugs through rocks and gets up mountains with ease! I can basically transfer all of my parts to the new bike anyways! Thats how I'm justifying it in my head... 😇

      Sounds like a solid logical justification to pick up a new 2025 300XC! I like the frame updates on the '25 350XCFF and those same frame updates on a 25 300XC should feel similar....I need a new 300!

    new bikes are coming out better and better......i still wish i had a 1987 honda cr125.....didnt own one but a buddy did and i liked the way it handled compared to my 1986......by todays standards they both were slow as heck for 125's......felt fast to me back in the day......nice vid

      I had a 1987 CR250 and it was a fun bike! First year of the rear disc brake and those forks (maybe first year of closed cartridge) worked great!

      @@mxengineer1 yeah you are correct about the rear disc, both 125 and 250 got it.....did they even have closed cartridge back then?

      @@Joe-pb3lx Yes I think that was first year of the cartridge fork - not sure of the actual design though!

    What about the fuel pickup in the tank??? The biggest failure running out with a 1/4 tank remaining in the tank.

    • @mxengineer1
      @mxengineer1  3 місяці тому

      Yes fuel pickup can be an issue if the bike is not being ridden over rough ground which helps keeps the fuel sloshing around. I've been able to ride with very little fuel showing in the lower left side of the fuel tank

    Boy those Husky's are beautiful bikes !!! Very interested when you were talking about the brakes - When I first jumped on my 24 Beta RX 300 I was stunned by how strong the brks are !!! This saturday I am running down to my local ktm/husky/gasgas dealer ( about 100 miles away ) and going to check out the husky and gasser 350s - my only real concern is the techno side of thing - cuo etc this is one reason I like the RX300 so much is when you take off the seat to do maint etc it does not look like an atlas road map of wiring LOL , seems like some of the bikes KTM family are over engineered imo - thank you for the awesome demo video's - as always looking forward to the next one

      As an engineer I can appreciate the technology and all the R&D and manufacturing development that goes into bringing the Austrian bikes to market. I also am amazed just how smooth and clean my 2024 Beta 300 Race Edition runs with a simple carburetor and mechanical PV and the map switch even makes a difference too! The CUO is pretty cool mostly for dialing back engine braking and power on 450's and turning up response on 250/350F's. Let me know if you buy something - new bike shopping is fun!
