Hi Aimee, this is was such a great introspective review of the designs you have made so far. I found it very inspiring! When I first saw the Effervescent pullover on the cover of Pom Pom magazine, I immediately fell in love, though that was before I started knitting, lol. Now that I have started knitting, my skills have improved and someday, I will make it. I’m still intimidated by the bottom up construction and the lace as I’m still a beginner. I’m looking forward to adding the Slightly Sassy V to my pattern library. Thank you for all you do! 🩷

Thank you so much for this video! I'm currently starting my pattern designing journey, and this was so helpful to see how the more technical aspects of your design process evolved over time. Definitely one of the best and most helpful design videos I've seen!

I really enjoyed hearing about your design processes, improvements- such as wider front panel, “S” shaped raglans… I realllly need to cast on for the Coloring Books…
I think you’re pretty close to that Perfect Sweater !! Unbelievable you’ve only been designing sweaters for 2 years!!! I always look forward to the next new pattern. Thank you for the evolution of designs, lessons learned, enhancements, creativity… impressive!! Thanks!!

Loved hearing the inspiration and intention behind every design. I especially love Anne's Puffed Sleeves. It has been in my queue forever!

So interesting to see everything chronologically and hear some background on each design! I think my personal favorite has got to be the caramel and sandy colored striped sample of the Coloring Book Raglan. Thanks for sharing this, Aimee 😊

Thank you for sharing all your samples. The slightly sassy with 3/4 sleeves is in my queue right now- the minute I saw it I knew it would be a wardrobe staple. But I also have the Effervescent Pullover awaiting knitting as well, and I appreciate the grading updates you made when you released it as well! I just generally appreciate how fit conscious you are, and I hope more designers follow in the future.

Wow, so many great designs in such a short amount of time! You show there's so much thought gone into every garment and how your process has developed over time. I recently bought the Matthew pullover as I love the cabling detail on the yolk. So far I've swatched for it and am now ready to cast on, can't wait. But I'm also interested in trying one of your compound raglan styles too.

I really LOVED this video and learning about what went into designing each piece and how your design process evolved over time. As I'm knitting more pieces to replace RTW in my own wardrobe and wearing them regularly, I find myself more thoughtful about different styles and their corresponding fit. I've decided to not select designs by initial appearance only, but to also seek out different styles to help me explore what works best for my body type (and broaden my knitting experience at the same time). This video felt like perfect timing for me. I'm going back and forth between another coloring book raglan (mainly because I like my first so much and I want another) and one of your compound raglan pieces (I've been tempted by the Friendship pullover). Looking forward to your future designs! :)

If you like the Coloring Book Raglan, and you don't mind bottom up construction, the Friendship Pullover has nearly an identical sleeve! I modeled the sporty sleeve tapering off the Coloring Book Raglan's tapered version.l :)
Thank you for watching and whatever you decide to knit next, enjoy!

Loved this. I have oolong, building blocks cardigan, and coloring book raglan all on my list AND yarn for them. Just need more hands! Can’t wait.

Love your videos and also really enjoying the Colouring Book Raglan which should be off my needles this weekend. Your sassy vneck and building box cardigan are in my queue and after this video I think I will be adding Anne’s Puffed Sleeve and the transition slip over. You also inspired me to give Nutiden a try so I ordered some in this weeks’s update! Keep doing what you’re doing! Thanks!

Love you designs and your videos. ❤❤❤ Really appreciate the detailed insights, specifically your remark on the difference in the look of underarm ease for fingering v dk/worsted.

It is so interesting to hear of your design process.. and to see your lovely patterns. I admire the garments so much and wish I could knit them.. unfortunately, the conversion rate between USA & Australia makes the patterns a little out of reach. I do look forward to buying my first one down the road, and can't wait to try out your construction ideas on pullovers. Thanks for a very informative episode Aimee 🙌

Well, this video finally influenced me to purchase the Go Gently Cardigan pattern! It was the first of your designs I ever saw and I fell instantly in love, but I'm so much more used to knitting cropped, fitted tops that the time and yardage required for a full-length oversized sweater kept putting me off. But I'll be having my first baby this spring and I think this will be a perfect gift to myself for before baby arrives. :) I wish I could afford the recommended yarn, but alas, I think I'll need to find something more appropriate to my budget. Would you recommend a woolen or worsted spun yarn alongside the mohair?

    • @AimeeSherMakes

The sample was knitted in worsted spun yarn! I think anything nonsuperwash will hold up but a woolen spun version would be extra floaty and dreamy.
