The young dude has a really good grasp on the art of hip hop. He don't look a day older than 17 yet he talks about rap like he's been studying it since the days of the sugar Hill gang.
This was very well done. I like the fact that you went through and listened to only his classic songs but also some of his most diverse. We gone need more of these.
I also feel like his flow on dying of thirst is symbolising somebody running out of breath that’s why it’s so choppy - he starts the verse of with “ tired of running tired of hunting “ so could be him running away from his demons
Great video, the two of you are clearly engaged and very articulate. The song choices are also fantastic and I'm particularly glad you grabbed one each off of Section.80, GKMC, and TPAB.
This is by far my favorite reaction to ever grace UA-cam. For one, my love for Kendrick and his artistry extends past many things, and you’re explanations of his music makes me love him so much more. Your dad is a very intelligent man, and I love how attentive he is even on first listens. He even understands that he has to listen more than once to grasp the entire thing. I appreciate that he actually listens and doesn’t criticize just because it’s not what he usually likes. I also adore your connection to the music, and I can tell you are very aware of how a person’s story doesn’t have to relate to you personally for it to resonate. Obviously you could relate to a “How Much A Dollar Cost” bc of its storyline but still be able to appreciate the creativeness of a “Sing About Me” even though you may not have been through it. Ugh I can go on all day about why I love this... so I am lol. I also love your song choices. Personally, these are my favorite songs on each project you chose (Keisha’s Song might be my fav on Section.80 tho lol). I can tell you love storytelling Kendrick, which is my fav. This reaction was everything and more and I didn’t want it to ever end. Please do more of these!!!! You def gained a subscriber ❤️🙏🏾
Man this is beautiful fr 🥹 my dad passed in 2012 and I know he would've done shit like this with me and it would've brought us closer together. I'm happy to watch/witness you and your dad's experience dissecting these songs keep it up bro 🤙🏾
Great breakdown and not saying things you truly don’t know. Making up an assumption just to have a response is garbage. You truly have a great understanding of the song and your dad gets very involved because you are very knowledgeable about this song. Bless up
This is my first video of yours that I’ve watched, you are so knowledgeable about the music it’s refreshing. I absolutely love Kendrick’s lyricism and appreciate when I find someone who understands it as well as you do!. Keep up the good work!
You know i been listening to K Dot since 2011, but it’s the first time i feel like i truly get em only because the way you articulate yourself thank you man
HOW OLD IS THIS GUY WOW EVERYTHING ON POINT MEN THE WAY HIS DAD LISTEN TO HIM THIS IS THE SECOND VIDEO I SOW FATHER WITH HIS SON REACTION VIDEO AND IT MAKES MED THINK HOW THE KIDS ARE SO SMART AND THE WAY THE FATHER'S SPEAK TO THERE KIDS IS LIKE A GROWN MAN YE I LIKE THAT
This has to be one of the best Kendrick breakdowns on UA-cam, I also wonder if the homeless man from South Africa knows Kendrick made a classic about him, LMAO
I love watching passionate people talk about the thing they love. Even though idk what they might be talking about sometimes, it just makes me happy to hear them talk their heart out.
Only 5 mins into the video and I'm already impressed with your knowledge of music. Consider me subscribed nice to see a reactor that actually appreciates the art
I heard Rigamortus & Cut you off in High school Shit change my whole Life. I also like how u broke down the meaning of his lines. made me understand more. Blessings bro
I just wanna say that this is easily the best reaction video I’ve ever seen. You guys are so adamant and eager to breakdown the meanings and music and I just support this 110%. You all have gained a new subscriber in me
I absolutely love this video. Both of you are very intelligent and seem to have a great relationship. You picked great songs to listen to and react to.
if you are a ab-soul fan my G,you know these song are real lyrical, mutiple entendre, storytelling of this day and age!! *AB-SOUL* WORLD WIDE WEB SOUL CRY DAY IN A LIFE CAN ANYBODY HEAR ME NOTHING NEW
This is an amazing react/analysis video! Your knowledge about rap music, flow, metrics and songwriting is incredible and your dad is great also! Good relationship father and son! God bless you guys.
dope video. really good to see somebody knowledgeable on kendrick and being able to explain how it all connects from past projects. you need to upload more often my man for real though because you have something going on here.. react to new music and get that uploaded as soon as possible and ill be here to support !!
Loved this, Kendrick is my favorite rapper of all time because he's just great all around. My other tops are Canserbero, MF DOOM, Earl Sweatshirt, Immortal Technique, Rapsody, Tyler the Creator, Danny Brown, Freddie Gibbs, Rakim, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Black Thought, Ab Soul, Kanye, Tupac, and Biggs
I really enjoyed this. Most reaction videos are only 10-12 minutes max that I have come across. In fact, I expected that by that time I reached that time I would have lost interest, but your dialogue was interesting and the relationship you seem to have with your father was great. I was, however, sadly disappointed to find that this was the only video you all have done together. DO MORE! You all should easily be top 5 reaction video makers. Thank you again.
Really, really good video. It's good to have a young guy like you and your father talk greatly on great artistry that is kendrick. You got a sub, keep this going.
I really appreciate this reaction. I love Kendrick's music. I have been listening to him since EP and went to one of his concerts back when he was doing tours for section 80. I wish I could sit down with you guys and just talk about his music. I am a huge fan of Kendrick and now of yours. Keep up the great content. I am subscribing! Peace & love bro!
I absolutely loved this, I love the connection u have with your dad, just amazingly beautiful! I am hooked! I would love to see more vids with him. I would like to see what he thinks of J. Cole, especially the second half of his new album KOD
Great idea, not only the reaction but also the discussion of the lyrics and the context. Keep doing this, first ask him and listen his thoughts and then explain him the context. Sub.
The part in rigamortis where Kendrick is rapping really fast is hard to rap not only because of the speed but because of the use of syllables within the verse. I can’t remember exactly what syllable count he uses but there was a video I watched years back where they explained that this verse is one of the hardest verses to rap along with Kendrick simply because of the pattern of rhyming words within the crazy double time flow. So don’t knock yourself on it. I usually get 4 bars at the beginning and I lose it too cause it’s almost tongue twisting to rap along with the verse. How much a dollar cost is one of Kendrick’s most powerful songs in my opinion. Literally cry every time I listen to this song it’s just so powerful it evokes such a strong emotion for me.
The young dude has a really good grasp on the art of hip hop. He don't look a day older than 17 yet he talks about rap like he's been studying it since the days of the sugar Hill gang.
Very few rappers have a discography as great as Kendrick.
Exactly name a wack Kendrick project from The KL EP...can't do it.
Definitely top 10 dead or alive
MrKiingpin :
Man very few artists overall not just rappers
@@killuaonhorse none of them are wack but the black panther shit was probably my least favorite.
Conor Purcell I don’t really count that tho
I liked this as you guys are actually knowledgeable about music
Great son-dad relationship, respectful, close and listening to each other. If we all would be like this, thing be better
Im like this with my father..but its soo beautiful to see a father son relationship when people feel think this dosent exist anymore
This was very well done. I like the fact that you went through and listened to only his classic songs but also some of his most diverse. We gone need more of these.

This is the first time I’ve seen a person from an older generation look kindly on the struggle of the homeless man in how much a dollar cost.
You a real one fr, u know what u talking about fr. Keep doing your shit.
'Sing about me' was more of a perspective of people that kendrick knew that were beyond help which further paints the picture of a mad city.
SABA - CARE FOR ME really good album one of the best chicago rappers for sure. Could you please react to it on the channel?
Yes
