ABOUT JUST FOR LAUGHS :
Just For Laughs is the world’s premiere destination for #standupcomedy. JFL produces the world’s largest and most prestigious comedy event every July in Montreal, as well as annual festivals in Toronto and Sydney. On this channel, you will find comedic clips from some of the most legendary comedians in the business: Chris Rock, Bill Burr, Kevin Hart, and more. We also feature stand-up from newcomers such as John Mulaney, Bo Burnham, and Amy Schumer. If you just want to laugh, you’re in the right place. - Комедії
I remember my family and I went to a sushi bar in Japan. We stared at the menu for 15 minutes without ordering anything, so they sent out fried chicken on the conveyor belt. My husband was going to grab it, and I was like, “no it’s a trap, they’re watching us.”
😆😆 Just every so often there's a hint of truth in naughty stereotypes. Like I'm British, and yes, we really do smell like wet dog when we get rained on. Which is very often. Also, we really don't use much herbs and spices in our food, not including Curry etc.
Hence the meme going round a while back: "Only the british would invade half the world for spices, and then not even use them" 😂😂
@@TheHorseshoePartyUK “not including curry”
Curry isn’t british. There is Japanese curry and Indian curry. Both are delicious and have plenty of flavor and are not remotely british.
😂
@@TheHorseshoePartyUK have a friend and she’s white… super white, blonde hair, blue eyes… she admitted to me that she knows she smells like wet dog when she’s wet… I said yea right! His name is “fill up” 🤣
It was the "not my worst decision as a goat" one that got me lol

The "If I was a goat and you asked if I'd rather be chopped up in this Jamaican woman's stew or get blown by a farmer, wouldn't be the toughest decision" line had me in stitches.
Funny enough, he is absolutely right. Waiting for someone to counter that argument.
The thing is, he wouldn't have a choice.

Che doesn’t get get near the credit he deserves. If you really listen to his jokes, they’re brilliant. So funny and so smart. What a good guy. What a clever comic.
Now that I am listening to them, they are very funny.
Crazy thing is if I want to listen to comedy he doesn't come to mind but every time he ends up on my feed and i watch, he always makes me laugh.
@GrotrianSeller Remember he is on SNL, sounds like credit to me
He has a show of his own called Che Thinks. He’s very underrated.

As someone who’s tasted bacon, facts.
The timing on the “…you catch it in jail. [immediately into] I think people…” was perfecto.
He sounded like Hannibal
Yeah, but what would he have done if the audience had reacted a second too slow? Actually, I think they did; he trailed off before they peaked; I think he practiced it with a more quick-witted audience in mind.

Poor Phillip, well you I guess…. Lol
I loved the jokes within jokes, ie “5 years of High School”

That line was brilliant, he could have picked any name and he paid a little homage to Patrice O'Neill by using the same name as the white guy in his bit.

some comics just naturally funny....Michael is one of those guys. its almost effortless with him
It's his career I'm sure effort goes into it hours a day.
He's good friends with a lot of comedians. I can only imagine the kind of jokes they crank out when cameras aren't on them.
@@Unit_With_Legs The last thing I'd want to do is downplay the work he undoubtedly puts in, but Che definitely has some natural talent for being funny. His deliveries are so fluid and natural. His standup always makes me feel like a homie is just telling me a funny story.
They work a lot so it seems natural
True. Those that have writers make up their jokes, etc are not true comedians

I just watched a very very good young gentleman performing with a thought out routine that was new and very well presented which I throughly enjoyed. Hats off to you dude.
Who did you watch?
@@sureshots8155 well I think I watched the video that my comment was attached to?
@@sloobyanthony572 For me, it was your mistaken referral to him as a gentleman.
@@elizabetholiviaclark for me, I was confused bcoz they said a "new" routine. This is clearly an old video and, on further inspection, this was filmed in 2013, not exactly new in 2022!
Well it was new to me.
Che is bloody hilarious
Yeah I never really understood the chicken thing. How many people have you ever said "Hey we're ha ing fried chicken" and they're "Oh no I hate chicken."
The primary origin of the chicken thing came from a scene in the movie Birth of a Nation that showed black members of a state legislature acting uncouth while in a legislative session, drinking, wearing no shoes, etc.. One of them was standing and eating fried chicken while speaking. The movie was saying "this is what happens when you give black people rights". So, fried chicken became part of a stereotype that was used for decades to demean. It was combined with other caricatures to paint a picture black people being inferior and incapable of handling responsibility. Americans were inundated with these images, with some of it lasting into the 1970s.
6 1/2 minutes of PURE fire. I love Che.
Dude the definition of effortlessly funny...🤣😎
Love it! You got many sincere belly laughs for such a short set! I've gotta look you up!

Marvelous. The man has his own voice, it's unique and easy to relate to. (Tho I did pick up on a bit of Cosby and Chappelle.) Michael Che, please keep doing as you is doing. It's refreshing.
huh, I thought it was a bit Tracy Morgan inspired. Interesting, though that we both immediately likened him to other black comedians. Race is crazy. Either way, the set was fan-freaking-tastic lol
@@mattbuszko "Race is crazy"
Yeah. And I'm still working on it. Trying to identify my blind spots.
Him and Hannibal Buress seem really simillar to me, not sure why tho 🤷
@@__mareK Buress has a bit about some time he spent in Scotland. It's Gold. And also a bit on credit card theft, probably my favorite I've heard so far.
He has the same cadence of speaking that Hannibal Burres has. With just a hint of the slur of lavell Crawford.
One of the best stand up sets I’ve seen
People confuse "racist" with "racial" all the time. Racist is something that belittles, demeans or oppressed based on someones race or cultural ancestry. Racial is something that applies to a race or group of people with biogical commonalities. Saying black people like fried chicken is a racial generality. Liking a type of food makes no judgement of character, especially when that food is one of the most delicious things known to man.
people always point out that blacks like friend chicken but I know white people who like fried chicken equally - especially in the south - fried chicken - corn bread and collard greens. 😋
Dude ppl are weak asfk and raised to be who gives a fuq what ppl think bout you worry bout bettering yourselves if someone doesn’t like me or you bc the way we might look it’s they’re fuqin problem fuqem. And yes fried chicken is dope but if you like that try something called vaca frita i think the translation to English is fried cow and that sounds horrible but its gas trust.
As a non-American who is frequently puzzled by your cultural peculiarities, this is one of the things that never made sense to me. Surely EVERYONE loves fried chicken? Why did black people get singled out? Never understood the watermelon thing either. Everyone who lives in a place warm enough to grow delicious watermelons loves watermelons. They're better than ice-cream in the summer heat. You might as well pick on people for loving pizza and strawberries. Who doesn't love pizza and strawberries?
@@andigordon8397 duh

I'm impressed, seen him on SNL, first time seeing his stand up. Brilliant!
Lol I like his understated style... similar material to Chapelle but softer delivery - even they would struggle to hate this guy, surely? He’s so nice and gentle...
His jokes are great, I agree with the Chapelle similarities, one thing Chappelle do very very well is "story telling". Che jump from rooster to donkey, but still be hilarious, Chapelle be telling you an hilarious story
@Oliver's 50th Account have you ever watch a Dave chappelle set?
Chappelle took the storytelling from Richard Pryor. Che is a bit different.
oh...
"they"...
yeah...
Good stuff! I didn't know Michael Che, thx for uploading this.
Che is the man. Killing it for years
I didn't bust a gut laughing but I can still say I'm very much entertained. This guy's good
Agreed
Same
I was always confused by "soul food". It was just food I grew up on as a poor person in the very rural southern US. Fried chicken, collards, cabbage, okra,...us poor rural white kids grew up on that stuff too. (I did realize eventually how it became known as soul food.)
I think the difference is that the seasonings and the recipes evolved separately. There is some overlap, but white southern cooking is usually called "southern cooking". Both are good, but there is a difference. Kinda like two branches from the same tree.
@@katrinab7657 just like music. I saw a comment once, "Blues is the black man's country and country is the white man's blues." I always thought music and food where great mediums to bring people together
@@liannemarie2504 I always said country is the blues with a twang. Music, food, dance, literature, and all those cultural things should bring us together....when we let them. I wish we could all love, accept, appreciate, and celebrate each other's differences and similarities. It just sounds so simple.
Che kills once again. Thx Che. Great Health to all.
Is it me, or does Che's cadence and delivery in this remind anyone else of Hannibal Buress?
I can see that. they both have similar pauses and styles. Hannibal voice is a little higher though I think.
Same jokes.

Funny thing is, it wasn't just some guy who compared homosexuality to bestiality, it was former Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia in his dissenting opinion on Lawrence v. Texas
Sounds like just some guy to me...
Hey someone who has no idea why they’re talking about! Scalia never compared homosexuality to bestiality. He talks about how the same logic being applied to homosexuality, that the court is validating laws based on moral choices, should then be applied to other laws like bigamy, incest, prostitution, bestiality, and obscenity. Crazy what 3 minutes of research will do for you when you don’t just take stuff at face value because it helps your point of view.
@@nickraad77 @Nick Raad yeah exactly, he drew a moral equivalence between all those things. Also on that list he mentioned masturbation and CP, because those things are apparently the same level of depravity to him. Crazy what 10 seconds of rational thought will do for you if you don't just misinterpret things to fit your point of view

His stand-up is beyond amazing. Makes you think, and it's realistic. BRILLIANT 👏🏽
Such a misconception - fried chicken isn't just black culture, it's Southern culture. Almost all of us like fried foods, watermelon, etc.
I work in a super market and white buy most of the fried chicken and everybody buys the bean pies.
Exactly, I have always said this as a white southerner. We love the same foods.
I'm Filipino... Who doesn't like fried chicken and watermelon they're delicious
I feel more like it's a poor thing. I am what some may call a white yankee and I like fried chicken and watermelon and grape koolaid too... though not a fan of balogna sandwiches. I grew up in a family that was forced to stretch a dime and chicken eggs flour oil was all cheaper than steak pork seafood strawberries blackberries turkey and roast beef... And who doesnt love some good ol Johnny cake cornbread? Come on man people need to stop searching for ways to seperate each other. When we do we will ALL BE WEALTHY and I ain't talking about no devil money.
I hate when people say, "it's southern culture," as if that isn't culture you picked up from the slaves yall had. Where did the British in the south get their eventual "southern cumture" from?
