To put things in perspective, Thor smoked 1046 pounds as if it was nothing, and then proceeded to lift 1105 pounds half way. The current lineup can not go beyond 1000 pounds, let alone 990 pounds. Keep in mind that Brian Shaw did not manage 1049 pounds. This shows just how much of a monster Thor was at his peak.
My math on these bar weights doesn't add up and it bothers me. 881 pound total (Rob Kearney's first attempt) - 65 pound bar - 720 for 8 plates on each side - 35 pounds from a big white (10), small blue (5), and small green (2.5) on each side = 61 pounds worth of clips? Does this bar really have 30.5 pounds worth of locking mechanisms on each side, or is there another plate I can't see? Edit: Luke Stoltman's 886 had 9 plates for 810 which would indicate 5.5 pounds of clips on each side, so there must be 25 pounds per side hiding somewhere I can't see on the 881 pound lift.
